why would they put an opiate blocker with morphine in a pill together? ## I assume you are referring to the medication Embeda? This has been done to try to prevent abuse of the time released Morphine that the tablets contain. Many people crush them and then try to insufflate or administer it intravenously. If they try it with a tablet that contains the Naltrexone, then the opiate is neutralized and they will have wasted their time. Same if they try to chew the tablet. It does not affect the efficacy of the Morphine, if the pill is swallowed, like it is supposed to be. Do you have any other questions?

I have been taking morphine sulfate (Statex) and codeine for 20 years without any problems at all. I am extremely intolerant and allergic to medications and in severe pain every day (for 41 years) so being able to tolerate opiates is essential to my survival. The fact they are natural is what allows me to tolerate them. But Statex is on back order so they gave me MS IR this week which is morphine sulfate pentahydrate and it made me very sick. I need a clear answer of how long will it take for the Morphine Sulfate ER to get out of one's system before it's safe to drink alcohol? My husband was prescribed oxycodone and morphine sulfate for daily use after an accident that resulted in incomplete quadriplegia. Over the course of four months, the EMT's were here six times to address opiate overdose. After more strenuous physical therapy sessions, he would become completely gray in pallor and we could not wake him up. Twice he stopped breathing prior to help arriving. im a 180 pound 21 year old male and a first time user of the abg 60 and im wondering if its too much for first time. ive had the sulfates but that was years ago. I use norco 10mg about once every couple weeks for pain. I usally take 3 norco 10mg at first sign of pain lol so I am versed a lil in the opiates. ## The usual adult dosage schedule for extended release tablets such as ABG 60 (Morphine sulphate extended-release 60 mg - NDC 0591-3513) ranges from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours.
