oval and green says 3 on one side and 15 on the other ## After doing some searching, I believe you are looking at one side of the pill upside down, the marking should be E 15, the E is stylized as it is the logo for Ethex Pharmaceuticals. Yes, this is Morphine CR 15mgs, a generic for MS Contin, a very strong and highly addictive opiate.

I take 30mg of orphine sulfate called zomorph does anyone else I take it twice daily the thing is it keeps me awake all night and I can't sleep at all does anyone else have this problem ## Hello, Tammy5583! How are you? Though it isn't common, narcotics can cause that in some people that take them. The energy boost is one reason that some people end up abusing opiates. Have you consulted your doctor? It might be better for you to try a different medication. ## I have but as I'm allergic to almost everything morphine the pnly pain realieve I can take it takes away a lot of the pain just keeps me awake I even top up with oramorph I also take amitriplyn to help sleep but doesn't work ## Yes. This also keeps me wide awake all night. Even when I am so tired I cannot go to sle...

why would they put an opiate blocker with morphine in a pill together? ## I assume you are referring to the medication Embeda? This has been done to try to prevent abuse of the time released Morphine that the tablets contain. Many people crush them and then try to insufflate or administer it intravenously. If they try it with a tablet that contains the Naltrexone, then the opiate is neutralized and they will have wasted their time. Same if they try to chew the tablet. It does not affect the efficacy of the Morphine, if the pill is swallowed, like it is supposed to be. Do you have any other questions?

I have been taking morphine sulfate (Statex) and codeine for 20 years without any problems at all. I am extremely intolerant and allergic to medications and in severe pain every day (for 41 years) so being able to tolerate opiates is essential to my survival. The fact they are natural is what allows me to tolerate them. But Statex is on back order so they gave me MS IR this week which is morphine sulfate pentahydrate and it made me very sick. Worse than that, they then gave me some Statex they had been holding out on me and for the first time in 20 years it made me sick as well. I'm terrified the pentahydrate triggered a TILT (toxicant induced loss of tolerance) and MS is close enough to MSP that my virus-ravaged liver is now rejecting MS as well. I've been trying to find out mo...

## I know nothing about this drug/medication please tell me about it Thank You ## I have to take 30 mg 3 times aday. It helps but not completely!! ## Morphine is an opiate narcotic that is most commonly used to help alleviate pain. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, and constipation. Ref: Medline Plus Morphine Is there anything I can help with?

It has poison listed on the label of my bottle of liquid morphine sulfate for intravenous use. It is an outdated bottle, but is it safe to use? ## First never use expired drugs! Secondly liquid morphine is deadly if taken or used improperly so why wouldn't it be considered a poison. ## Jeff is correct. Most medications are considered poisons, if used improperly, in excessive amounts, of by those who shouldn't be taking them. What precise markings are on the label are you talking about, though? Most pharmacies don't use one that just says poison. Morphine is an opiate, so it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth.

I need a clear answer of how long will it take for the Morphine Sulfate ER to get out of one's system before it's safe to drink alcohol? To be very clear, I know to never drink on the same day of taking opiates, especially ER (extended release) drugs. I'm taking morphine sulfate ER 15 mg twice a day. With these ER drugs, I understand that they're designed to remain in the body for long. When looking up the half life for morphine, it would only refer to the morphine itself without factoring the ER delivery system. So I cannot find reliable info for my question. How long should one wait to drink, or how long will it take for Morphine Sulfate ER to significantly get out of your system, before it's safe to consume alcohol. Although I only plan to have only a couple of dr...

My rheumatologist gave me prednesone 10 mg Q.D My Primary (PCP) gave me morphine sulfate 15 mg S.R. (methadone canceling prednesone ) Thanks for any infrmation ## Hello, Larney! How are you feeling? Yes, you are correct. I have been taking 60mg morphine sulfate er for 10 plus years with 30mg oxycodone for breakthrough pain relief. Help! ## Fentanyl is the most potent opiate available, it is over 81 times stronger than Morphine. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. However, it depends on which medication works best for you and what your doctor feels is safe for you to try. MY HUSBAND HAS BLADDER CANCER AND WAS PRESCRIBED 20 MG OF METHADONE EVERY MORNING. HE WAS ALSO GIVEN MORPHIN SULFATE 60 MGS TWICE A DAY. HOW SHOULD THESE MEDICINES BE TAKEN? ## Debra, i dont know why his dr. prescribed both Methadone and Morphine. The Methadone is known to block or cancel out the effects of the Morphine. ## i take 30mg 6 times aday plus 135mg of methadone a day for stomach cancer pain is it safe what are the dangers ## First of all methadone is not a blocker. People mistake it for suboxone because they are both used in opiate withdraw treatment. They first made methadone in world war II...when China cut Germany off from poppy trade. Hitler had his science goons make somthing to substitute opiate pain killers and Bam methadone is born. First used as a pain killer for man...

PLEASE HELP ME, I am so frustrated. I got a shock last week when I went to pick up my monthly prescribtion of morphine sulfate er 200 mg. I take 3 per day for my pain. I usally pay $225.00 for this rx well it jumped to over $1,000.00! I don't have insurance so I pay the cash price and have for over 5 years now for this medicine. I can't seem to find a replacement opiate that is time released the only one I found is oxycontin 60 mg. I get 90 pills every month. The price for the oxycontin is also over $1,000.00. What is going on with this increase? Does anyone have a suggestion on a medicine that is not so expensive? It does not have to be time released. Please help if you can. Very upset and looking for an answer. I am in the Orlando area... Thank you in advance for your input. E...

I am prescribed 60mg of morphine sulfate twice daily and 30mg of immediate release morphine every eight hours. About one to two hours before the next dose is due I become very sleepy. When I take my dose it makes me wide awake. Why does it work this way on me ## Hello, Trish! How are you? There's no real explanation for it, that's just how some opiates work in some people that take them. That's part of the reason that some people become addicted, they like the rush of energy they get from them, so they keep taking more and more to keep experiencing it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been on oxycodone 10 mg 4 times a day for few yrs due to back surgery and no relief and now my dr changed oxycode same dosage to 3 times a day and added morphine 15 mg sulfate tabs 4 times a day. My question is.... Is it safe to take both and that many a day since i have never been on morphine before? Seems like a lot of meds but it has helped me dramatically with pain i just dont want to overdose since i dont know as said much about morphine ## Morphine is also a narcotic opiate that has been in use for many years to alleviate pain, as a matter of fact, it actually used to be the go to medication during war times for injured soldiers. Later, is was replaced by more potent ones that provided faster relief and comfort. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming ...

Just switched to mor. Sul 15mg ir tab from hydro codons 10/325 , every four hrs will it be stronger? ## Hello, Sarge! How are you? Yes, they are equivalent on a 1 to 1 ration, so 15mgs of Morphine would be the same as taking 15mgs of Hydrocodone, according to the opiate conversion charts provided by Global. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. My husband was prescribed oxycodone and morphine sulfate for daily use after an accident that resulted in incomplete quadriplegia. Over the course of four months, the EMT's were here six times to address opiate overdose. After more strenuous physical therapy sessions, he would become completely gray in pallor and we could not wake him up. Twice he stopped breathing prior to help arriving. I administered CPR until their arrival, at which time they would inj. narcan, and boom! He's back. The first episode resulted in my totally monitoring his medication, documenting dose/times in a prescription diary and posting current status of his medications on a white board. He was not even taking two-thirds of what he was prescribed, because it was too strong, and we had yet to adjust his do...

im a 180 pound 21 year old male and a first time user of the abg 60 and im wondering if its too much for first time. ive had the sulfates but that was years ago. I use norco 10mg about once every couple weeks for pain. I usally take 3 norco 10mg at first sign of pain lol so I am versed a lil in the opiates. ## The usual adult dosage schedule for extended release tablets such as ABG 60 (Morphine sulphate extended-release 60 mg - NDC 0591-3513) ranges from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours. Since the dosage gap for extended release tablets is so large, I think it's safe to say that 60mgs still sits on the lower end of the dosage spectrum. I'd probably recommend doing a trial run for a week or so just to se...

is Kadian er 30mg stronger then morphine sulfate ir 30mg? i would like to know so i can get the best one for my back pain ## Hello, Debby! How are you? Morphine is the active ingredient in Kadian, so neither one that you've mentioned is stronger. The difference lies in the formulation. The Kadian is a time released formulation, so the Morphine is slowly released for a period of approximately 12 hours to provide better pain control. While the IR is an instant release formulation that releases all of the Morphine at once to alleviate pain and these ones usually last about 6 to 8 hours….but sometimes as little as 4, if someone is tolerant to opiates. Learn more Morphine details here. Morphine is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, s...
