husband was on morphine 30 mg doctor put him on Norco 10/325 which is better for the pain which is the strongest pain pill for pain ## Someone please correct me if I'm interpreting this wrong, but according to the following opioid dosing equivalency chart by, two 10mg Norco (Hydrocodone) tablets are reportedly equal one 30mg Morphine tablet. Here's the link for reference: However, due to possible side effects, individual tolerance, body chemistry, and other personal factors, my understanding is that not all opiates provide the same type of effects or relief even at what would be considered an equivalent dose. Hope this helps! ## I've been looking everywhere for accurate information in regards to converting 30mg... ...

Oxycodone is actually the strongest of the ones you've mentioned. However, the formulation may come into play. Were they all regular release or were some of them time released? ## I have been taking hydrocodone 10/ acetaminophen 325 every 6 hours for 4 years and now I am being switch to morphine SO4 30MG SA TAB three times a day It doesn’t seem to be working as good for me as the hydrocodone has in the past. Morphine Sulfate 15 mg IR
3 Replies RSS
How many 15 mg of Morphine Sulfate equal 4 of the 10 mg Hydrocodone?? ## Morphine and Hydrocodone are generally considered equal in strength, when taken orally, so a 10mg Morphine tablet would be equal to 10mgs of Hydrocodone, this your 15mg Morphine is actually a stronger dose than what you were taking of the Hydrocodone. 3 of the Morphine 15mg tablets would be 45mgs and that would actually still be 5mgs stronger than the 40mgs in 4 of the Hydrocodone tablets. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hydrocone is a short acting pain medication. The morphine is long acting. ## 2 anna half roughly equal strength as morphine and hydrocodone are equal strength ...

15 mg morphine er compared to oxycodone 10
2 Replies RSS
Which medication is stronger: 15 mg Morphine ER or 10/325 Oxycodone or Hydrocodone 10/325 ## They are very similar. My doctor has put me on and we've tried to figure out what works. best. I get 10mg Norco & 20mg Oxycodone, and I alternate, it REALLY helps!!! (I have a LOT of medical issues.) ## @birdie, I think as post #1 suggested, you pretty much just have to work with your doctor to find out what best suits your level of pain. Some people debate that oxycodone is a step up from hydrocodone. I think the answer may vary with each individual based on personal preference. And as far as comparing morphine ER to immediate release oxycodone, there's probably no easy way to determine an equivalent dose since one is being slowly released...However if it's of any help, the foll... ...

what pain pills work better than norco

Can I take norco 10/325 flexed all 10 mg with a stacker 2 ## Hi Meddie, There are quite a few different pain meds to choose from that are allegedly stronger than Norco (Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen). Oxycodone in my research seems to be the next step up the latter, but some chronic pain patients may feel that Tramadol, Morphine, Opana, or Dilaudid would be better alternatives. I for one have never taken anything other than Hydrocodone and Morphine in the realm of narcotic analgesics, so I can only go off charts on the web and my own experience, which tells me that Morphine provided greater relief than Hydrocodone after a nose surgery I had done several years ago. If you're able to I'd encourage you to talk with your doctor about this just to see what s/he recommends... And as far a... ...

10 mg Zohydro ER strength compared to 10 mg narco ?
3 Replies RSS
Has anyone taken 10 mg hydrocodone tabs 1to 3 tabs at once to help with your pain. I want to know what I can expect in the strength of 10 mg er once taken . Is it the same as 1 hydro or much stronger ? I have some breathing issues taking 10 mg OxyContin but not with 15 -30 mg. IR 30 mg oxycodone. ## The FDA considers oxy and hydro to be morphine equivalents, but some feel oxy is stronger. Zohydro is a 12hr er med. Depending on how often you were taking oxy, to replace a 10mg er dose your doc would probably start you at 15mg or 20mg Zo and adjust from there. A problem with taking three ir norco doses at once is that each dose usually has 325mg of acetaminophen. While many docs feel that up to three grams of acetaminophen a day not a problem, it serves to analgesic purpose for real pain a... ...

strength of medication

I have been taking 325 mg of hydrocodone, only "as needed". A recent trip to hospital & Dr. there gave me a prescription for 15mg morphine. Which one is stronger? Don't think the morphine helps with my pain as much, but it doesn't leave me with a drug "hangover". So, I am assuming hydrocodone is stronger? ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? They are actually equivalent, according to NIH reports, on a 1 to 1 ratio. Thus, since the highest dose available of Hydrocodone contains 10mgs of it accompanied with 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the new dose of Morphine is actually stronger. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you getting pain re... ...

equivilency of roxicodone 30 mg ## An equivalent dose of Dilaudid/Hydromorphone would be 11.25mgs. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Wow som1 who actually knows there conversion rates... 30mg oxicodone = to 29mg hydrocodone = to 60 mg of morphine = to 20mg meathadone = to 20mg oximorphone = to 12mg hydromorphone = to 600mcg fyntynal = to 30mg diamorphine, remember all these drugs have different boiavalabilties like oxicodone is 90% and hydromorphone oraly has a bio availability of 30-35% thats why it sucks. oraly bio is same. Through rectal and through nasle passage the bio is 55% and iv is 100%, tho bioavalibility varies wildly oraly from 10% to 60%, also hydromorphone is 60 times stronger than morphine when administered via iv. Morphine's bioavailability is 20 to 40% oral... ...
