Is Mobic Addictive

I have been taking Mobic for a couple of years now, only 7.5 mg per day and they have had a marked improvement for me. I am going away for 5 weeks to Asia and didn't want to take them with me, being as the climate is very warm. Can I stop taking the Mobic abruptly, or should I wean myself off them slowly. ## Hi Cheri, Based on my research, it is generally regarded as safe to stop taking Meloxicam without actually requiring a withdrawal process. Reason being is that Meloxicam is an nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) just like aspirin is, and there are no addictive properties involved.
