I have been taking 120mgs. of cymbalta for yrs. for depression, I also have chronic pain, it does Nothing for my pain whatsoever. ## Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, it is an SNRI antidepressant. It has been shown to help some people with pain, however, there is no medication that works for everyone person that takes it. It also may not help your pain if you have been on the same dosage for a long period of time, because your body is used to this dosage. Is your doctor providing other treatment for your pain? ## yI don't know what to do next, I am in a LOT of pain.es my Dr. prescribes Norco for my pain.I also just got steroid shots in my back, which helped at first(it was great) but after about 3 days it stopped.

I'm 36 years old I've been on methadone 120mgs daily for right at 10 years and rxc 30s for breakthrough pain and I call my Dr to verify my appointment and the nurse tells me..... yes but just to let u know he can't write narcotics anymore. I went to suboxone and i am still in pain. after doc switched me to methadone and back again to suboxone because i couldnt do the methadone she told me this was it. gave me script to begin that day. had last methadone that morning. by the time i picked up mychildren i was going thru horrific withdrawal induced by the subs. and great pain. bi called them for help and an answer to why i was going thru it. they thought i wanted more suboxone! then they said they didnt know why and that i would have to go thru it. by the weekend i was in such desperation i put on a fentanyl patch. took it off 12 hopurs later. i was so deperate. now ive been dropped. this is following me. i am in so much pain. no one will take me for pain management. even with sub i cant function. found out in suboxone info ...

I was in a auto 04/2010. My back is broke in several places and my L shoulder. My family an I were told I need a 24 hr operation on my back and a 12 hr operation to replace my shoulder. We were told I would not.survive either and need to be on comfort care with pain meds the rest of my life. I moved to cottage gove,mn 07/2014 and have been treated like I"m a street drug addict. As a brief background - I have very advanced Degenerative Disc Disease, along with bad arthritis/spurs/nerve damage - all in my neck. 5 of the 7 discs are in terrible shape - I've been told by several doctors that it is very advanced for my age (34). I've been through a great deal of pain management including massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractors, injections and procedures on my neck. Had a TKR 8/11/15. Sent home with Norco then hydro codone acetaminophen 10-325. Worked a few days. Got really bad shin pain can't stand up. Then Dr gave me OxyContin 10. Time realease. Morphine is the active ingredient in Kadian, so neither one that you've mentioned is stronger. The difference lies in the formulation. The Kadian is a time released formulation, so the Morphine is slowly released for a period of approximately 12 hours to provide better pain control. I'm 63 and was admitted 4 weeks ago to ICU in a Pretoria Hospital and for the first time was diagnosed with hi BP and irregular heart beat from 50 to 148 and a problem in the lower heart chambers. They repair a valve and Adco Bisocor 5mg was prescribe for the high BP and Arycor 200 for the irregular heart beat and Warfarin to regulate the blood thickness and Aspavor 20mg for cholesterol. From the time I was discharge upto today I haven't slept more than 2hrs at a time because of terrible muscle pains. I was in a severe accident in 2006 that caused many spinal fractures, herniated disks, and severe damage to my right knee. I've been seeing a pain management doctor who has prescribed me Opana 40 & 20mg. ER's to be taken every 12 hours. He also prescribes me Mobic for joint pain. The Opana does help with my spinal injuries, but doesn't seem to help my knee pain at all. The Mobic isn't working either. Should the Opana be helping me with my knee pain at all? I have been prescribed just about all of the available opiate medications including; oxycontin, methadone, the Duragesic fentynil patch, morphine, and nothing seems to be working. Is there anything available that would help my knee pain short of knee replacement surgery? Any information would be greatly appreciated...

I'm a chronic pain pt. I was on 16 mg of sub for pain for 2 straight years. It completely stopped working, when in the beginning it worked "good enough" now, my dr is a pain specialist and suboxone dr. He put me on a fentynal patch 25 mcg told me to take my last dose of sub and put patch on at same time because sub should b mostly out of my system within 12 hrs. I had no problem switching but a little wd from the sub. It is only day 4....dr said 40% of your opiod receptors r still open on sub!!! It only fills 60% of them. Still, enough to block most opiates, except very high doses. Now, I am just starting to feel the fentynal on day 4. But am still in moderate/sometimes severe pain. So yesterday I FINALLY RECEIVED my prescription of Pain-O-Soma in the blister packs that are from (Supposedly) HAB Pharmaceuticals & they ARE / WERE AWFUL!!!! Hi, I've been taking norco 10/325 for a couple of years now for fibromyalgia and chronic back pain, tendonitus and siatica. I'm prescribed 90/month. But my pain is not being managed. I have high tolerance I guess., but im afraid to ask my dr. if he will prescribe 120 a month because 3 a day is just not cutting it at all. but i dont want him to get mad at me. My 7 yr old daughter is comaining I really bad stomach pains and has occasional gas and belches. I'm wondering what the side effects are when using buprinorphine oral on cats. My 13 +? old rescued male is dealing with a kidney stone plus crystals in his bladder. I have a good understanding of how to treat for the stones/crystals but I'm wondering if there are any side effects that might make him nervous. He's getting 0.3mL by mouth every 12 hours. Thanks Daniel ## Hello, Daniel! How are you? An antibiotic will not help with the flu, or its symptoms, since it is caused by a virus and antibiotics only treat bacterial infections. Additionally, these both contain Amoxicillin, so there isn't any point in taking both. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking 120mgs methadone and 90mgs oxycodone per dium for20yrs....pain doctors come and go, but I'm here for the long haul. I got a call today informing me that my Dr. is closing up shop .We are to receive one months meds with NO referral for another Dr.that will per scribe these meds. Finding a Dr. in southeast Louisiana that will treat chronic pain with methadone is like looking for hen's teeth.I need a GOOD Dr....as I am truly in chronic pain (a #8 on the scale).
