Two doctors have told me to take atacand 8mg, lisinopril 5mg, and metroprol succ. 25mg for my slightly high blood pressure. It can make you dizzy, headaches, increase your potassium levels (WebMD says don't take a potassium supplement if you're taking Lisinopril.) You can have abnormally low blood pressure, decreased blood platelets, decreased function of the bone marrow. I am currently taking 6different medications for my high blood pressure. I feeel like this is a bit much and would like to cut back. I am taking glipizide 15mg, metformin 1000 mg (2 a day), lisinopril 20/12.5mg, clonidine 0.1mg (3 a day), metoprolol er 100mg, verapamil 240 mg. Recently while on vacation in Arizona, I got a severe headache ( I think from a strain?), went to a clinic & they said my blood pressure was 185/110. Their first drug (lisinopril 20 mg) was for blood pressure and also an injection of toradol. Two days later the headache was still there and they prescribed a pill (Butalbit/acetam/caf 40 mg/tablet ). The headache and BP are in control but I am concerned on taking a barbiturate, is there an alternative and what would be the process to eliminate the drugs. I have been taking Lisinopril /HCTZ 20-25mg. I,m out. I do have a bottle of Lisinopril 2.5 mg that was filled incorrectly, but I still have them. my blood pressure is high 155/96, and I have a terrible headache. is it ok to take the Lisinopril 2.5mg ## It is a much lower dosage, so it may not work as well as the one you are currently prescribed.
