I am currently on Lisinopril for High blood pressure, how safe is it while takin it with Phentirmene? ## Actually, Phentermine should not be used if you have high blood pressure. It is an amphetamine and phenethylamine class medication, which means it acts as a stimulant. Stimulants are very well known for raising your blood pressure and heart rate. Phentermine has been known to cause hypertension in people that were taking, who had not previously had high blood pressure. Two doctors have told me to take atacand 8mg, lisinopril 5mg, and metroprol succ. 25mg for my slightly high blood pressure. Do they do the same thing is this overkill? sjr ## I honestly believe that taking those 3 different medications for 1 condition is a 'prescription overkill' as I like to call it. There are many natural alternatives for Blood Pressure control that in my opinion can be just as effective as prescription medication, with little to no side effects. I personally had high blood pressure, but was able to control it by controlling my eating habits and exercising. What works for me may not work for everyone, but my initial advice is to look into natural ways such as: Low sodium foods to help reduce inflammation; supplementation of garlic, fish oils, as well as calciu...

G2 H2 Pinkish ## If you would like more info on Lisinopril you can look here ## This drug really works! ## Hey, I am on 5mg. I got sick and my Dr said not to take them unless needed cause it was dropping. I have been taking it for the past few days cause it goes up every other day and it helped me but today it's 140/98. ## Lisinopril is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. Glenda, that is a very unusual way of taking it. How low was it dropping? Are you on any other medications?

Can this medication make your red blood cell count high? ## Lisinopril is what I'm on. I had to look up the side effects since I'm sensitive to medication. It's an ACE inhibitor. It can make you dizzy, headaches, increase your potassium levels (WebMD says don't take a potassium supplement if you're taking Lisinopril.) You can have abnormally low blood pressure, decreased blood platelets, decreased function of the bone marrow. Decreased neutrophils (a type of white blood cell), deficiency of granulocytes - a type of white blood cell. I'd suggest doing a Google search to see what you can find. I've noticed you can't find the information you need all in one place. Good luck! ## No, that is not listed as known side effects. In addition to what Nikki has alrea...

I have to take medications a day and I would like to eliminate some of these medications. ## Hello, I would speak with your healthcare provider before stopping any of your current medications. Recently while on vacation in Arizona, I got a severe headache ( I think from a strain?), went to a clinic & they said my blood pressure was 185/110. Their first drug (lisinopril 20 mg) was for blood pressure and also an injection of toradol. Two days later the headache was still there and they prescribed a pill (Butalbit/acetam/caf 40 mg/tablet ). The headache and BP are in control but I am concerned on taking a barbiturate, is there an alternative and what would be the process to eliminate the drugs. General research shows Butalbit is being discontinued?? or not a preferred choice. ## Hello, Marie! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. There is a chance that the headache was due to your blood pressure being so elevated. It can cause sev...

Lisinopril for my high blood pressure. Within a day, my pulse was under 50 and my bp was always under 90/50. I complained and he lowered it to 20 mg. daily. That is a little better, but now I'm having heart palpitations and dizziness. I think he's trying to kill me. If your doctor doesn't take your complaints seriously, you MUST switch doctors! I have OCD and I have a pill phobia and become obsessed. My question is how much is too much of Lisinopril 25mg? Toxic effects? also for HCTZ 25mg? ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? I understand, I have OCD myself and frequently do the same thing with medications, though I don't have a phobia about taking them. Anyway, I am very happy to help with more information. A.C.E. ## My Lisonpril from a local pharmacy was a triangle shaped one and I seemed to do well on it for 14 months. I then order them through Aetna RX and they sent a white, round pill and have been experiencing problems with bp & Heart rate too high. Could the difference in the pill be the problem? ## My Pharmacy switched me too, from a triangular pill to a round pink one. I'm having problems with sore legs, stomach cramps, tight jaw, higher blood pressure, sore forearms. I have been taking Lisinopril /HCTZ 20-25mg. I,m out. I do have a bottle of Lisinopril 2.5 mg that was filled incorrectly, but I still have them. my blood pressure is high 155/96, and I have a terrible headache. is it ok to take the Lisinopril 2.5mg ## It is a much lower dosage, so it may not work as well as the one you are currently prescribed. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. In the future, it would be best to make sure you pick up a refill, before you run out, since missing doses could be dangerous. Have you consulted your doctor?
