An analgesic is any member of the group of drugs used to achieve analgesia, relief from pain. The word analgesic derives from Greek αν - ("without") and λγος - ("pain").[1] Commonly known as painkillers, analgesic drugs act in various ways on the peripheral and central nervous systems. They are distinct from anesthetics, which reversibly eliminate sensation, and include paracetamol (known in the US as acetaminophen or simply APAP), the non-steroidal anti-inflamma...

found pill white, round, 8 or 9mm in diameter. side A: scored into fourths. a number is in each section. TOP LEFT: 0 TOP RIGHT: 2 BOTTOM LEFT: 2 BOTTOM RIGHT: 1 Side B: [BLANK] ## This one took some hunting, mainly because I discovered it is not a drug intended for human consumption!!! This is a Pet tranquilizer, Acepromazine 25mgs. If someone passed this off to you as pain pill, or you received from a doctor or pharmacy, something is screwy or they are messing with you. Though, it would not be the first time this has happened, or the first time someone took pills intended for the pet in hopes of getting high or something from it. The danger here is that not everything that works safely for an animal is safe for people, and vice-versa. Here's the page I finally found it on: Pharmer ...

i have arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I take either Norco or Percacet. Both make me very itchy. Can I safely take them with Benadryl? ## Hello, Julie! How are you? It would be best to check with your doctor first, to make sure it is safe you, because Benadryl can increase the absorption of most opiates, which may be too much for some people. The FDA also warns that opiates carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The itching from opiate pain meds is not an allergic reaction and benedryl will not help relieve the itchy sensation. Typical one become itchy when the body has absorbed too much of the drug so you may be on to high of a dose since it is a negative...

well i found this white pill that says m in a box on one side and 3 on the other side. i ussaly take 2 30mg of the m 30 ones that are30mg of hydrocodiene. the m 3 ones say its 30mg of codiene and 200mg of acephime [ or how ever u spell it ]. how many of the m3's would i have too take to equal a m 30 ## Okay, first lets cover exactly what these tablets contain. The one with the M 30 marking does not contain Hydrocodone, it actually contains 30mgs of Oxycodone, it is a generic for Roxicodone. The pill with the M 3 marking contains 30mgs of Codeine and 300mgs of Acetaminophen. As to the conversion, the amount of Codeine needed to be equal to each 30mg Oxycodone tablet would be 300mgs, because the Codeine is much weaker than Oxycodone. Therefore, it is neither practical, nor safe to try...

So I accidentally overdosed on 2 500mg of cipro, 2 200mg of ibuprofen, 1 200mg of Advil, 1 500mg of L848. Will I die or get sick? I took those all at once and I am scared. They all contain acetaminophen which scares me. Are there any bad side effects caused by taking these painkillers all at once? ## Hello, Rene! How are you? Did you experience any adverse issues? That is a large amount to take, at once, so you should inform your doctor, or seek emergency medical assistance if you start to feel very ill, dizzy, or as if you will faint, according to NIH overdose reports. However, these are not all pain killers and they do not all contain Acetaminophen, so you didn't take too much of that, the only one that you've listed which contains Acetaminophen is the tablet with the L848 mar...

white, oblong, one side says 537 and the other says 93 ## Sounds quite a bit like the generic brand Vicodin I was prescribed for dental work. ## Nope, this is NOT a narcotic of any kind. Pill Image Click Here This is nothing more than the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory Naproxen Sodium, 550mgs, so a prescription strength of it, but it is the same active med that you get in a lower dose in Aleve over the counter. There aren't any proprietary guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry regarding the shape, color, size, or etc. of pills. How they look, how they are shaped, their size and etc. are entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. The only way to tell for sure what something is, would be to look up the imprint code, all prescription drugs sold legally in the US are requir...

which is the best painkiller for low backache? Is it Voveron, Tolifast or Echochyte 60 or any other? ## I am suffering from back pain for last 4 days i am taking Tramajc 50 mg twice a day no relief in India ## Do either of you have a diagnosis as to what's causing your back pain? Has any testing been done? Learn more pain details here. That would be the place to start, you need to find out what's causing your pain, in order to find the proper solution. If you don't and you just take pain medications on your own, you may end up doing permanent damage, only to find out later that to start off, it was a minor injury that could have been easily remedied.

I was in unbearable pain with arthritis, my gp will not give me anything that works. I know it was wrong, but I ordered Dihydrocodeine over the internet illegally, and I found that after an hour of absolute agony I am so relieved, and so happy. I have a very addictive personality but I need an alternative to stop the actual pain and probably help me to reduce, because I am surely addicted to them by now. However I would be going back to a none life existence, I will be heartbroken when I cannot lift my grandchildren. So I am thinking what if I had them just at weekends, a lot of willpower is needed, but the alternative of non-stop hell without a break is a NO,NO, not now I have found I do not have to wake in agony everyday, life is too short, I am almost 60 now. Does anyone have any adv...

What are M and M's - as described in Tim O'Brien's book about Vietnam - The Things They Carried ## If you read historical accounts of Vietnam, many of the medics actually carried M&Ms candy that they gave to the severely wounded, who weren't likely to survive. Under such circumstances, their supplies of actual analgesics, such as Morphine were limited and therefore, it could only be given to those whose injuries weren't considered fatal and who were thought to have a chance of surviving. In the interest of doing something and not walking away from a solder who had been so brave and was severely suffering, they often gave them a piece or two of the candy as a pill, in hopes that the placebo effect would occur and they soldier would feel less pain and be comforted ...

The millions of pain patients who rely on pain meds to get through their day without horrible pain are out of luck. Doctors are under threat of imprisonment and pharmacy's are being told they will be audited if they fill any scripts. This is a horrible situation for legitimate pain patients. Now they will all be looking on the streets and many will die from the illicit drugs going around. People hooked on painkillers should research Ibogaine. People in daily pain will need to find a doctor to prescribe the proper type of marijuana to treat their pain.

In March of 2014 I was involved in a bus accident on lovely SEPTA. The i**** bus driver hit a PARKED VAN on the Blvd during clear weather. Anyway, the bus was partially destroyed and I suffered two herniated discs which have caused me no end of pain. The lawyer I retained sent me to MRCP where I received physical therapy. It helped for awhile but after a period of time it just stopped helping. Now I am in the situation where I am in pain EVERY DAY. If feels like a knife is twisted in the middle of my back at all times because of the pain. I was hospitalized when I couldn't walk and found it was a MRSA infection that spread to my heart, lungs and both hips. I am still here leaving in five days. I must use a walker because it's too painful to walk.
