I have pain in my whole neck and my whole neck is this normal the pain is so bad. Iam on antibiotics from yesterday but how long will it take to go. ?? ## Hello, Julie! How are you? The general rule for antibiotics is that if they are working, there shouldn't be any worsening after being on them for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after a full 3 days of taking them. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. If there's not improvement after a couple more days, you should see your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm wondering what this pain is? I normally feel some severe cramp all over my whole leg from mid calf to my upper thigh. It radiates and it feels like it's in my bone or bone marrow, meaning deep inside. This pain makes me want to fall if I'm standing upright. It lasts for about one hour to 1.5 hours. When it's occuring it feels like I can have a baby and I'm normally suffering from arthritis pain too. What is this pain? ## Unfortunately this site is not familiar with your full medical history so we cannot diagnose, treat or prescribe anything. Which means I can't tell you what it was or what was causing it just from the information you posted. You need to see a doctor for a proper assessment of the problem. Have you made an appointment, yet?

I am addicted to opiates for pain. I abuse the oxy that I get. Would Sub or Methatdone be better for me with regards to pain? My husband has a history with drugs and has been on Methadone. He thinks Methadone is the way to go. ## Hi Sheri, I guess I am way too late but will throw in my two cents anyway. Im recovering from an opiate prob (percs) and am on a sub program. I found a good doctor, checked his background on the net, and am lucky. Things are going well.. Ok, I can answer with confidence that Suboxone is NOT a choice for you. Subs are used to fight an opiate addiction, not to treat pain. It was not designed for pain management, but Methadone is. I have read its especially used for end of life pain management. It has a long half-life and therefore is easier for people to overdose...

Hi, I had a back ache and a bit of pain was radiating to my legs. For the last 2 days there has been a feeling of numbness and tingling in my lower right leg. I have been prescribed Felicita OD for this and I'm not sure why this drug is important for a pain related matter. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

A friend suggested I ask my rheumatologist for this as a substitute for cyclobenzaprine which became excessively costly for me about 2 years ago and I stopped taking it. The spelling of "marporanol" is a guess. I do not know any more than this.

Pain meds don't work any more and I want off of pain killers. ## I have been looking at kratom forums on the web seeking alternatives to pain pills. DermaTran compounds a cream that I use to help with my arthritis. This is the only cream that I have used and gotten relief. It costs me $60 a tube and I am 92 yrs old and live on Social Security. The VA says they can not help me and I need some help in lowering the cost. A tube lasts me about 2 months. ## Hello, John! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having. However, DermaTran is a chain of compounding pharmacies, which means what you're getting isn't actually a specific name brand medication, so there is no assistance available for it. I wish I had better news for you, but unfortunately, I don't. The only suggestion I can make is to check with other compounding pharmacies in your area and see if they may offer a cheaper price. Does anyone else...

How long does it take to get off subsys, I have been on this for over 15 years for chronic nerve damage. What are the withdrawals and what other pain relief is instead of this. ## Hello, Jean! How are you? The FDA lists Subsys as containing Fentanyl, which is the most potent opiate available, thus after that long of a time period, you'll need to do a very slow taper. Your doctor should be able to help you set up a proper tapering schedule. However, since there is nothing else close to it available, I am not sure what else you may be able to use for pain relief. What dosage of it have you been on? The possible withdrawals may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, diarrhea, depression and rebound pain.

slight whip lash, neck pain-difficult to turn head to the right ## It should be helpful in your situation, although Lyrica is typically prescribed for neuropathic pain such as Fibromyalgia or spinal cord injuries. (were you prescribed this by your doctor?) If you're dealing with muscle pain, have you considered safer over-the-counter products such as Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, etc? Regardless I'd say that you should get your neck checked out if the pain is moderate or more. Hope this helps! You can read more about this drug at:
