Iv had this medication for 18months now and when I too it it took along time to kick in Should I get a new prescription? ## Hi Sandy, How did you have to wait before noticing any relief from taking it? Unless you took it with a meal, it shouldn't take very long (typically no more than say 15-20 minutes on average) to feel the effects of a medication you ingested. If however, you are simply not getting much relief or benefit from its use, I would definitely encourage you to speak with your doctor about other types of treatment options for your pain. I hope this helps! ## Do you mean you have been taking this med for 18 months or you have had the same prescription for 18 months ? ## the time it takes to absorb very's from person to person and the time you ate around taking the pil...

Btw I have a gpa named joe schmohe literally ## The red dots are just part of the pill, it's how the manufacturer identifies their pill, i.e. Watson has their name on theirs Vi...

Hi, can you help me please? These particular tablets are white with dots that appear light pink, where is this color derived from - what elements/source/dyes? ## What are the markings on them? That is what would enable me to look up these specific tablets for you to see what's used in them. I have been taking norco 10/325 yellow oval pill for a few years but yesterday what I got was different they were white oblong pills which says hyd/apap 10/325 mg tab amnea on it and the numbers on the tablet are G 037. Are they the same? The norco always worked very well but these white tabs don't seem as strong or work as well. ## Yes, they are the same, the tablet with the G 037 on it has just been manufactured by a different company, in this case Tris Pharma. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How many have you taken, so far?

I have been taking Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen 7.5-200mg tabs for over 10 years now for chronic pain from having my jaw smashed & back broken. The past two months I have received a different generic from Wallgreens with Actavis as the manufacturer and THEY DO NOT WORK. Absolute crap!! I tried taking more to get the same normal affect and now I have had nothing but major stomach issues and ears ringing. I am going to my Dr on Monday to discuss!! This is ridiculous!! I am going to report to FDA and wallgreens headquarters!! Please let me know if anyone else feels this way?? Thank you. ## I had the exact same issue when I went to have my script filled at Walgreens in Dec 2016. The pharmacy of course did not say they switched manufacturers and so a week into the meds I thought I was losing it...

I am new to butran patch. I have heard that it May take a couple of days for the patch to become effective....is it ok to take my loratab 10mg 2 tabs every 6 hrs the first day? ## Hello, Gaye! How are you? There is no reason it should take so long for the patch to start working, it should only take a short time for the medication to start being absorbed and alleviating your pain. Learn more Butrans details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And you shouldn't take any other narcotic medications, unless your doctor says that it is safe for you to do so. I have had two surgeries and on hydro.10mg|325 tabs. I have winged myself down to 1 every 12 hours. Ive noticed that after about 9 hours it seems like im catching a cold. I push myself to go the 12 hours. Once i take the med. im fine. I have probably been on them fo 3 months.. Really i may need a smaller dose but ill try taking maybe about 5 ibuprofen's for a little while. Is there a easier way to taper down, how can i taper down or do i just have to crawl under the sheets and die. I hate these pills, don't want something else controlling me. ## Sounds like you have been on them a while, The reason you feel like you have a cold is that your waiting to long to take one, if you want to tapper down start with the dose you were on, then your next dose wait an additional hour and so on...

My bottle says 7.5-325/15ml. How much would be equal to 2 tabs? Would it be 30ml?! I have always been on the pills but I now switched doctors & I didn't notice he prescribed liquid lortab until I went to the pharmacy. ## Hello, Megan! How are you? Yes, however, you should not exceed your doctor's dosing instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. WHAT IS THE T FOR ON THE WHITE HYDROCODONE ACETAMINOPHEN 10-325 BY WATSON THIS IS 10-325 T I RECENTLY CHANGED FROM YELLOW 10-325MG TABS TO WHITE ONES I AM NOT CRAZY BUT THE WHITE ONES ARE NOT REALLY HELPING AS WELL WHY IS THAT ## Hi jen, Your not the first to say that the white ones haven't been working as well. There have actually been several complaints to Watson (Actavis) regarding the lack of potency in their "supposedly equivalent" white tablets. They claim that the only difference lies in the removal of 'dye', however that doesn't necessarily explain why they don't work as well, since dye has no real impact on anything but its color. The true answer to their ineffectiveness is still a mystery until the manufacturer opens up and spills the beans. In the ...

I was given HYDROCODONE-APAP 7.5-500 tabs today.I've read they are used for sleep, however I don't feel that effect. I usually take Ambien or Seraquil for sleep. OK to combine?? ## Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen (APAP) is a narcotic pain medication, generic for Vicodin. They are not generally used for sleep, however, one of the side effects can be drowsiness. Due to the effects of sedation and circulatory depression, the medications you asked about should not be combined without your doctor's approval and supervision of your condition. Have you spoken to them about this?

My 50 yr old son took 4 tabs of hydrocodone bitartrate w/ apap (5mg/325mg) ## In my honest opinion, any type of drug related overdose can be pretty serious, especially because many of them tend to be life-threatening as well! Based on my research, symptoms associated with Hydrocodone overdose may include the following: -narrowed or widened pupils -slow, shallow, or stopped breathing -slowed or stopped heartbeat -cold, clammy, or blue skin -excessive sleepiness -loss of consciousness -seizures -death I also need to point out that if someone takes more than the recommended dose of acetaminophen, it is imperative that they get medical help immediately, even if the person does not have any symptoms. Symptoms of an acetaminophen overdose may include: -nausea -vomiting -loss of appetite -swea...

I am out of my hydrocodone... Can I take tramadol temporarily until I get my prescription? I'm used to taking 10-325s. These tramadol are 37.5-325. How do I take this? Please help! In chronic pain. ## Tramadol is a serotonin drug. My Hubby takes 1 tab every 6 hours. But they are 50 mg tabs. I would NOT go over the one every six hours. But if you taken another drug that has anything to do with serotonin receptors are involved. I wouldn't take. You would be in far more trouble with serotonin poision then your chronic pain. Call your pharmacy if you don't want to call your doctors office. Or just pick a random pharmacy. Better to call and ask them end up in the ER. Please be safe. Call first. I was treated by PMR physician for almost 2 yrs for chronic pain. Two months ago I had a negative lab result for hydrocodone. I've been taking the above 10/325 1-2 tabs every 8 hours PRN, I don't understand why the test was negative. The medical group has a zero tolerance policy, and since I was neg on a random test I've been banned from their practice, there was no discussion. They have deemed me guilty of noncompliance, insinuating that I'm giving and or selling my pain medication, which is absurd! Is there anything that I can do? I feel so very helpless. ## I was taking 7/325 hydrocodone for 4mths & had 2 negative results. I was told I could no longer get pain meds through my Dr.s office any more? Why the negative tests?

Will switching to Percocet from lot tabs cause any withdrawal symptoms? ## Hello, Cat! How are you? In theory, it shouldn't, because the Oxycodone in Percocet is stronger than the Hydrocodone. However, the doses will matter, can you please post back with them? For example, for each 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone you were taking, you'd need 5mgs of Oxycodone to be equivalent. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I have been taking hydrocodone APAP 5/325 for knee and joint pain(1-2 tabs. approximately 3-times weekly) for the past 6 months with limited side effects ( sweating). 2 days ago, I began to have severe dizziness, nausea, sweating approximately 1-2 hours after taking a dosage of 1-2 pills. I cannot find any difference in medications, habits, etc. that may be contributing to the sudden onset of the otherwise common side effects. Is it common for side effects to manifest themselves after no problems for 6 months? ## I wouldn't say it is common, but yes, it can happen, allergic reactions can also happen unexpectedly, even after having used something for a long time. Did you suddenly get a different generic from your pharmacy? The FDA does allow generics to differ, in the active ingredie...
