My boy friend is coming off of pain killers , higher doses other known as oxys if he takes these 10mg yellow pills will this mess with him? He is on day 4 ## Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) is not an opiate, it is a muscle relaxer. ## @Vg (original poster), Please excuse me If I'm misinterpreting your post, as it's very difficult to make complete sense of certain details mentioned within your description re: "My boy friend is coming off of pain killers , higher doses other known as oxys". However, IF your boyfriend was ever intending on taking Cyclobenzaprine with Oxycodone, I personally wouldn't recommend doing so, since there are known drug interactions between the two medications. Specifically, causing an increased risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, difficulty b...

cyclobenzaprine ## Can't wait to receive your daily Newsletter. ## For more information about this drug please see the page: Flexeril ## Be careful with Flexeril. If you are on anti-depressents, ask your doctor. I am on anti-depressents and cannot take Flexeril. Robaxin is better by far.

I just took 15 pills of Cyclobenzaprine of 10mg for pain. It's a yellow pill with the letter V on one side and 2632 on the other side. And im also taking bupropion 2x a day. Is this dangerous (?) cause I'm getting scared now. ## Hello, Rose! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? Why did you take so many? This is a muscle relaxant, not an actual analgesic, but taking that many could still be dangerous, because it can cause depression of the central nervous system. And I'd like to add a note for anyone else that reads this in the future, if you have reason to suspect that your life or the life of someone else may be in danger, please call poison control or be send at your nearest emergency treatment facility. While there are those of us online that are always happy ...

My insurance company informed me that they will no longer cover prescription for Cyclobenzapr for patience over 65. Because of the problems seniors develop from this drug. My doctor did not know what they meant and said I could just pay for it and still get it. $4.00 at Walmart so I will continue but is the insurance co. correct or lying, is it dangerous for seniors, if so in what way? Very concerned! ## Hello, The concerns that your insurance company expressed may actually be valid. Based on my research, the FDA states that the use of Flexeril (Cyclobenzaprine) In the elderly may increase the frequency and severity of adverse events associated with or without concomitant medications and should be initiated with a 5 mg dose- then titrated slowly upward. That is the most pertinent inform...

Can 370 mg of this medication kill someone? ## From what I've read, the recommended dose of Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is 5 to 10mgs three times daily; which would amount to 15 or 30 mgs total. I'm not sure why anyone in their right frame of mind would consider taking anything more than that, but 370mg is just ridiculous and careless in my opinion. Do you know if this person is even still alive right now or are you simply speaking hypothetically? In case of any overdose, you should probably be prepared to call your local poison control center or emergency hotline first and foremost. Waiting for a possible response on a forum may not be the best idea if the person you know really is dying from this overdose. I hope this helps!

Want to know what this drug is equal to in a more familiar name. ## Cyclobenzaprine is Flexeril. ## @Thomas, No two drugs are "equal" in my opinion, because they also contain different binders and fillers, different half-lives (i.e. some lasting longer than others), different release rates (i.e. how quickly it affects you), etc.. So when you ask about an equal substitute, the best I can do is point you in the direction of different brand names of Cyclobenzaprine... Karen named 1 of them, and two others I'm aware of are Amrix and Fexmid. There are also various medications within the same drug classification as Cyclobenzaprine; known as muscle relaxers. A few drug names in this category are as follows: Methocarbamol, Carisoprodol, Metaxalone, Orphenadrine, Chlorzoxazone, and D...
