Is Cyclobenzapr A Narcotic

for my lower back pain I have been prescribed pills called cyclobenzapr 5 mg. Some of the pills are pink and some are yellow with the inscription TL 211 or 2631 on them. There is a blue 5mg manufactured by Mylan, it should have an M on one side and the numbers 771 on the other. This is a muscle relaxant, so it only helps with pain that is directly caused from muscles, such as strains, sprains, spasms, swelling and etc. If your pain is caused by other factors, which I assume it is, since you fell of a ladder, then this will not help much. is flexeril like tramidol? ## NO! Not even close. Tramadol is an opiate derived anti-inflammatory, they were trying to engineer a medication that would have the pain killing benefits of a narcotic, without the side effects. It didn't work and they ended up with something that is just as addictive as regular opiates. Flexeril, which is Cyclobenzaprine, is a completely different class of medication. I found a bottle of pills...the bottle indicates that they are Cyclobenzaprine 10mg tablets...a generic for Flexeril 10mg. I looked up the description for the pill but what's in the bottle is a small white pill with the number 5658 on one side and DAN on other side... What is this exactly? ## It's a muscle relaxer. It's non narcotic but can be habit forming. I take 10mg a day for my back. It will also knock you out or make you tired. You have the generic form of it is all. ## It is Cyclobenzaprine. Is Flexeril similar to Roxcets? ## NO! Not the same type of drug at all. Flexeril is a muscle relaxant containing Cyclobenzaprine. Roxicet is a narcotic pain reliever containing Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. ## No Flexeril is a strong and good muscle reaxant, also causes sleepiness, Roxicet is a STRONG!!! I am a chronic pain patient and I have slowly got off hydrocodone 10mg-325 acetaminophen and acetaminophen#4 due to stomach issues. I also take other meds cyclobenzaprine diazepam, nortriptyline . I was prescribed the 25mg patch. after reading info with meds it states DO NOT TAKE IF NOT ALREADY USING OPIOID PAIN MED. I am scared to death to try this med. I found half of a white round tablet it ends with N on one side and looks like it ends with 5 (possibly) and 8 definitely on the other. Found on the floor in my home just trying to id if possible thanks! ## The closest match to that (but could be something else) is a pill that says DAN on one side and 5658 on the other side, if that sounds like it might be right? That's Cyclobenzaprine HCL 10mg. It's a non narcotic muscle relaxer typically prescribed for muscle spasms, migraines, sciatica etc. the other closest match is OTC Claritin.
