2 REPLIES Filed under Phenylephrinecan we use zincold tablets for cold ## Hi chappu, From what I've researched, Zincold contains the three active ingredients Cetirizine + Phenylephrine + Paracetamol, which are marketed for use as an antihistamine, a decongestant, and a pain reliever/fever reducer for treating various symptoms that may be associated with the common cold (such as congestion, sinus pressure, discomfort, etc). So while Zincold wont take the cold away, it looks like its supposed to help with some of the symptoms that often come with a cold. Are you doing anything else to help combat symptoms as well or has the Zincold been working fine on its own? Feel better soon!
1 REPLY Filed under Cetirizinepain doc prescribed 30 mg per day 4 months ago. I was in the hospital for a month a year ago as my spine collapsed and I was fused from C-3 to T-3 with lots of giant screws, 4 titanium rods etc. I had had a C-3 to C-7 fusion in 1997 which was way less complex and dangerous. I have taken a number of different meds over the years and over time I developed severe allergic to all narcotics and methadone. The recovery has been slower than I had hoped but I try and cope by exercising, leading as normal a life as possible, walking a mile daily using a walker n our hilly neighborhood. I have some spasticity, difficulty done fine things with my hands (I.e. putting on earrings, stying my hair, applying makeup, etc., )buttons buckles on and on. I have terrible proprioception,. Like most people in ...
2 REPLIES Filed under CymbaltaI am 4th month pregnant now and from past 3 days I have cold (Blocked nose), and cough with Flum inside and fever at some times. My doctor prescribed Relent cough syrup , but want to make sure before I use it as I am scared to use anything during pregnancy. Please help me. ## From what I can find, Relent is listed as containing Ambroxol, which is used to break up the mucous. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? Since it isn't commonly used in the U.S., this site doesn't have a lot of information on this and what I can find just says that it should not be taken during the first 3 months of pregnancy. ## I'm towards five months pregnant my private part is itching I've use warm water but its the same can I use canex v to that itching Plz I need answers is safe...
2 REPLIES Filed under Allergies, Cough & ColdSir, I have been taking Montelukast Sodium and levoctrizine dihydro chloride since few months as I feel relieved from allergy which used to cause cold and caugh.Although I feel fine now and want to quit this tablet now .Please suggest me on how to quit .I feel drowsiness which is having negative effect on my work .Please help me . ## This medication is not habit forming, so you don't need to taper off of it, or anything. However, stopping abruptly may cause some rebound sinus congestion, as reported by the U.S. FDA, but that should go away within a week, or so. Drowsiness can be a normal side effect of antihistamines, sometimes it gets so severe you can't stay awake to do anything. Are you on any other medications?
1 REPLY Filed under MontelukastI am 24 weeks running pregnancy due to common cold itook nimsulide tablet once..will its going to be effect my baby I am too much worry now please help ## Hello, Liani! How are you? During pregnancy, it is always best to never take any medication, without first checking with your doctor. This one should not be taken during pregnancy, according to the U.S. FDA as it may cause some problems. However, if you only took it once, things will most likely be fine, but you should make sure to inform your doctor, just in case. Have you taken any other medications? ## Hi, I hope you are safe. Was there any problem to the baby when you took the Nimesulide in pregnancy? Plz help me by replying. I m in similar situation.

How are you? I'm sorry, since this medication isn't available in the U.S., I don't have enough information on it to speak on its safety. However, they are different, Lemsip contains both the Phenylephrine and Paracetamol. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and insomnia. Is there anything else? ## Thanx for reply Verwon, I feel fine now

I'm a 71-year-old male: Cardiloc 2.5 (bisoprolol) seems to work fine - but makes me feel very very cold. Is there an alternative? ## For Hypertension or cardiac conditions, there are actually many other medications that are available for you to try. I had a similar problem with the beta blocker class of medications that Bisoprolol is in. The one I am currently using that hasn't caused me any serious problems is Labetalol, so you may want to see if it's available there for you to try. Learn more Labetalol details here. Learn more blood pressure details here. If it's not available, just let them know the problem you are having with it and tell them you'd like to switch to a different medication. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Many thanks. ## I have recen...
4 REPLIES Filed under BisoprololTook for first time three hours ago as prescribed for bad mania caused by required large cortisone injections for acute arthritis pain. As prescribed (two 0.5 xanax plus two 5x325 percosets did nothing to reduce the manic anxiety and pain. Heart still racing and terrible anxiety continued. Took one extra 0.25 atenolol (have chronic mild atrial fibrillation, keep it on hand). Also took two more xanax and one extra percoset. Felt disoriented and sorta walking into walls for two hours. Now heart is fine, pain reduced, but I can't concentrate on Birdman and scared to go to sleep. It's 4 am...mouth dry. New to these drugs, and history of addiction to 30 years alcohol/fentanyl, but sober/clean for three years after seizure/coma due to cold turkey stopping drinking. Never do this again...
2 REPLIES Filed under XanaxI have been on 15mg Prednisone now for 10 months and my team of specialists want me to quit cold turkey will this cause issues for me? I tried to reduce down to 13mg a while back but suffered severe back oain and confusion after only reducing by 2mg... ## Lani --- i don't think its a good idea to go off Prednisone cold turkey. Your adrenal system needs to adjust slowly -- reducing by 11/2 to 2 mg a week would be better until your down to 5 mg. Then you might be able to stop cold turkey. ## I actually agree but today they went ahead and did it anyway so I am no longer allowed to have any prednisone. My blood pressure has dropped and I tried to use a zimmer frame to walk with (because I was dizzy and light headed and the lower back pain was horrendous) and that was fine until I sat on...

8 REPLIES Filed under PrednisoloneI was prescibed Serta-50mg.by the doctor for depression.I have been taking it for last three years.Since I am feeling netter. can I stop it.now ## Do not stop cold turkey! You will be very sick. My doctor said to wean slowly. For a month, take a half a pill a day. Then a half a pill every OTHER day. Then stop. I did it just like this 33 days ago was the last pill I had and im still trying to get these withdraw symptoms to stop. Im very sick to my stomach almost all the time. It sucks ## Hi Meena! The reason you are feeling better is because you are taking the medication. I know people who stopped their medication and they were fine for awhile then lapsed into depression again. It is NOT good to stop the medication until you speak to your doctor. Call him first.
2 REPLIES Filed under AntidepressantI am 56 years old and am disabled due to a work-related injury therefore I am rich by no means! I have heard that they are considering taking methadone off the market due to too many overdose issues, plus people on it, get a prescription filled and sell it for profit making it even harder for folks like me who take my meds honestly as prescribed. If Methadone is removed from the market, what am I supposed to do? I already know I can not go off this stuff cold turkey and am scared. Does anyone know any doctors in the Warner Robins-Macon, GA area that prescribe Methadone ILLEGITIMATELY? I am not looking to sell meds, I just want to be sure I will not be in pain. I've been on Methadone since November 2008 and so far it works fine for me. I just neeed a backup plan just in case that doe...
55 REPLIES Filed under MethadoneHi everyone, Im hoping to get some insite to who ever is able to give it. I started on Geodon in Septmeber on 2016 and I started that to help with OCD and moodiness. I am 27 years old and I am in pretty good health excpet for the issues I deal with on a daily basis. In November, exactly on Thanksgiving Day I started getting very fatiged. To the point where I couldnt keep my eyes open. I just wanted to lay down. My eyes felt like lead. I then started with loose stool..(sorry, TMI) and then a few weeks later it just got progresivly worse. I started to notice my hands and feet would get extrmely sweating. Almost to the point where my socks were a bit damp. I also started with chills. My lips would qiver like I was cold but I felt totally fine as far as temp. This has been ongoing since Tha...
1 REPLY Filed under GeodonI am running 42 of age and have been a patient of hypertension. I have been taking tab Concor 2.5 mg on morning daily basis for last 12 years. My BP was absolutely fine and even some time I used to forget to take on ween ends. In last month March, my BP fluctuated max 150/110 in last month March 2014 without any change in my routine except was not well (having fever / cold) at that time. My Doc has advised to change the tab to Eritel AM 40 mg and after a month now my BP is controlled. Please advise which tab is more harmful for my body and it was essential to change from concor 2.5 mg to Eritel AM 40 mg. ## I own experience is that Eritel is more helpful than Beta Blockers which have horrific side effects. I am on Eritel CH 80. I am 27 thought. Was previously on Lodoz 5 (comparable to C...

1 REPLY Filed under Allergies, Cough & ColdHi, I came off 40mg atovastatin 2 weeks ago cold turkey. Ever since I've had this immense pressure in my head that only goes when I go to sleep, my eyes are also blurry. I had another eye test yesterday and they say my eyes are fine. Do u think this could be related withdrawel symptoms of coming off the atovastatin? The drs haven't got a clue. Thanks. ## Hello, Louise! How are you? Have you had any other symptoms, such as pain or headache, or just the feeling of pressure? You can experience some withdrawal effects from stopping cold turkey, including rebound elevated cholesterol and possible blockages, as explained by the FDA. Your doctor does need to check this out for you. Are you on any other medications?
