Is Roxie 10 stronger than morphine 60just wondering what's best to take I find morphine last longer than Roxie ## Oxycodone is one a half times stronger than Morphine, so, going by the doses you've mentioned, the 60mg Morphine is stronger. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation, it also carries the risk of being habit forming. I find it ridiculous that sooo many people are messing around with schedule II narcotics yet have no clue to the potency, side effects, drug interactions, etc.. are you people not adults? Oxy is indeed a good 1.5% stronger than morphine and not at all subtle like morphine.. Most doses of Oxy that are between 15-30 mg are IR's not ER (extended release like most morphine)... I have been using ER 60 mg morphine sulfate x 2 daily with other meds. No one has this medicine in Tampa area and being legally blind I have no way to go to 50 pharmacies to locate because they won't tell you on the phone. I take morphine 60 mg 2 at a time it has a m on one side 60 on other. I know it's extended release but how much do u get at a time and how long does it last? Plus I can take 5 to 6 30 mgs of oxycodone at a time so how many morphines do I need to equal that? ## Hello, I believe that the absorption rate of any medication is determined by weight and other factors that only your doctor can asses. Is 5 to 6 (30 mg) Oxycodone pills what your doctor prescribed to you? I'm not exactly sure how many grams of Oxycodone will equal 2 (60 mg) Morphine pills, however I do know that Oxycodone is 1.5 times stronger than Morphine. My medicine has been changed from oxycodone 30 mg with opana 60mg to the oxy 30 with morpine sul 30 mg er** I was wondering will it work as well? ## Oxymorphone / Opana is quite a bit stronger than morphine, so unless your taking alot more morphine pills I can't see how it can. But maybe you will have a good reaction to it. I have been taking 60mg ms contin extended release 3 times a day + 30mg oxycodone immediate release 4 times a day. Recently my doctor changed the oxycodone to morphine 30mg immediate release. He also added lyrica 75 mg and I also take baclofen 10mg & amitriptyline 50mg in which i take 2. I'm still in constant pain. I was shot 8 yrs ago and I still hardly feel relief. I have had 6 back surgerys with pins,screws and many of fusions.over the past 5 years or more have been on oxycodone 10-325 4 to5 times a day. I cant see that morphine 15 mg does anything for me. I was taking 40 mg oxcontin twice a day and something else for breakthrough pain. Since going on medicare supplement insurance I can't get the oxycontin through the company. I was taking dilaudid for the breakthrough pain but living, in Florida, I can't find it at all here. Does Oxcodone do as good as the morphine? I don't know that I can even get that here though. They have cracked down so much on what is dispensed in Florida that any meds is hard to get. I have been on morphine 60mg extended relief, 3x A day for about 10 years, I have recently noticed that it quit working as well as it did in the beginning so my doctor is going to switch me to oxycoton 30 mg extended relief am I going to go through withdraws because he is only giving me 30mg versus 60mg? My insurance company did not give me a choice recently so my dr. & I had to make different optons for my PM. I was on: Oxycotin CR 60 mg. twice a day along with ~ up to 4 percecot daily, which was: 10/325 mg.
