daughter has this is it legal rx ## what is this pill i also found same pill in my sons room ## This is a prescription only tablet, containing Acetaminophen 325mgs and Hydrocodone 5mgs, which is a very potent narcotic. This is a generic for Norco. ## why when i get name brand they give me 7.5mg but when i get generic i get these are the same since the diff in acetaminophen? ## The difference is not just in the Tylenol the hydorcodone has different amounts as well. they are the same be it generic or brand name so check that your rx wasnt changed or that the pharmacy didn't make a mistake.

The tablet with the M 367 marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, while the one with the IP 109 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. I have taken 10mg/325 for a number of years ,IP110 is inferior to M367 and certainly to vicodin or lortab.Dr.Oz brought to my attention that many generics of many drugs can have an efficacy of +or_20% value.My opinion after many years of use of this type of drug is most generics are inferior.I also feel because I am on medicare my options are limited.IP100 is the poorest generic I have been given to this date. ## Hi john bee, It is true that the FDA permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formulas. 20% is extremely sloppy in my honest opinion! I take this drug for nerve pain..it will make you sleepy when you first start taking it, but no, it will not make you feel high. Not like taking a narcotic pain reliever such as hydrocodone or oxycodone. This is not a narcotic pain reliever.

Worried about deadly effect of Vicodine. I do suffer from extreme pain from Gout and extreme bunions. ## The 5gs of Hydrocodone in this is a narcotic opiate and is coupled with 325gs of Acetaminophen. However, the only way it would really be deadly is if someone had a severe allergy to one of the ingredients or if you would overdose on it. Hi there, if you have been on this pill IP109 and Norco for a number of years & it no longer is helping... instead of increasing the dose myself like alot of us do..Should I talk to my Dr about raising me up to a 7.5 or a 10mg because the Physical Therapy & Trigger Point Injections (TPI) are not helping that much and are actually causing more pain & discomfort.
