Is this similar to Vicodin or norcos? Does it give you the same feeling/affect? Does it have narcotics in it? Is it considerate a opiate? ## Does it have ip 190 on one side and 500 on the other, white oblong ? If it does it is 500 mg Naproxen. Naproxen is a nonsterodial anti-inflammatory. It is the same medication that is in Aleve over the counter, except the mg is higher in prescription Naproxen. It is not a narcotic or opiate. It does not contain the same medication as Vicodin or Norco.

Online this morning, there were a ton of hydrocodone images and this is one that did appear. what do you think about that? just curious if it is really hydrocodone or naproxen ## Hello, Nicki! How are you? This is definitely a 500mg Naproxen tablet. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Learn more Naproxen details here. As to what I think of that, I think it's very common for such errors to be made, mainly by lay people that aren't familiar with medications and don't know how to check and see what a pill actually contains. Many people just assume that any large, oblong tablet must be Vicodin (Hydrocdone/Acetaminophen), because they...

Hydros say IP 109 and Naproxen says IP 190 ## Hi amanda, Thanks for clearing up any confusion between the two pills! From what I could gather, another differentiating factor is that Naproxen's tablet also has "500" imprinted on the other side of IP 190; whereas with Hydrocodone/Apap, IP 109 is the only imprint. Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190): Ref: DailyMed Hydrocodone/Apap 5mg-325mg (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## Is "ip190" and "tramadol hcl 50mg" the same thing?

I have a couple pills I'd like to ID. One is round Salmon color with RX 792 on it. I also have an oblong white tablet 500 on one side and IP 190 on the other. Can you please tell me what these are? ## RX792 This tablet contains 40mgs of Simvastatin, a generic for Zocor. This is used to help lower cholesterol. Some of the most common side effects include: indigestion, abdominal pain, diarrhea and weakness. ## IP190 500This tablet contains 500mgs of Naproxen, a generic for Naprosyn. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.

I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same? ## Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals). The IP 190 500 tablet contains Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190); a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Ref: DailyMed The IP 109 tablet contains Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 5mg); which is a combination of two types of pain medicine - Hydrocodone being an opiate narcotic pain reliever. My friend thinks her pills are vicodine, I have looked them up and found they r naproxin. is there any way a white oblong pill with ip190 on one side and 500 on the other b anything other than naproxin ## Hi Ashley, The imprint you mentioned "IP 190 500" is identified as Naproxen 500mg, and ONLY that. It is manufactured by Akyma Pharmaceuticals. I was able to verify this on a number of websites as well, so you can be rest assured it is just that. Some people actually misinterpret the look of the pill and think that it is Hydrocodone (Vicodin), since the look of the oblong white pill is "similar" but this is not the case here. Is this OK to use for serviear headache/migraine? ## I don't remember why this was prescribed to me as I have multiple medical problems & get bad headaches I read something saying this was for pain? But headaches I don't no? Thanks in advance ## Hi dracey, Sorry to hear about the terrible headaches. However I do want to clarify that "IP 190 500" represents the markings of a 500mg Naproxen tablet, and "NOT" Hydrocodone as you may have originally thought. Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, but it is also a commonly used remedy for treating migraine headaches. I don't know how its overall efficacy compares to other possible treatment options, however, many patients do report that it works well for such conditions. More specific details invol...

Hey guys, the IP 109 / 500 is naproxen. But if you have an oblong pill with IP 109 and a line on the back I think it's Vicodin 5mg. Personally I think they look way too much alike. Always check. ## Hello, Kristin! How are you? Thank you for your helpful post! I'd just like to add some clarification to avoid confusion that may be caused by the typo… The 500mg Naproxen tablet has the marking IP 190 on one side and 500 on the other. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. The generic for Vicodin has the IP 109 on one side. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and...
