my 5yr starts risperdal next week..i would like to know all the sie defects & more information about this drug..thank you! ## Hi Allison, I am a psychotherapist and a holistic practitioner. I am also a mother of two toddlers. Please do a lot of investigation before giving your 5 yr. old such powerful mind altering medication. The medical community is still unclear about the long term effects of mind altering drugs on the developing brain. Basically, we don't know how these drugs are going to change your child brain when it is still growing. In this day and age children are being more diagnosed with bipolar disorder. We don't know why this is the case but before we jump into medicating them we should try alternative routs that are not as invasive. Is your child in therapy? Ha...

I was prescribed hydrocodone for a pinched nerve in my neck. I will have to take it awhile because my health insurance is insisting I undergo less invasive treatment before having the surgery my doctor recommends. Anyway, the first prescription I filled was for 5/325, an all white pill with an M marking. I was able to take those without problem. The second prescription I filled was white with red specks (same strength). About a half an hour after I took one of these pills, I started feeling ill. My heart was pounding and I had chest pains. Then I developed a mild case of hives. I notified my doctor and he switched me to oxycodone which was just too strong. I reported this and he rewrote for hydrocodone. I returned the oxycodone to the pharmacy as I had done with the white and red hydroc...

Hi, may I ask you for an opinion regarding a drug called cabozantinib, TKI of VEGFR, Met, AXL.... I have a relative, male 35 years old, recently diagnosed (February, 2016) with renal adenocarcinoma III grade, and about ten days ago, nephrectomy was performed. Furthermore, 3 lymph nodes were removed as well. He will be subjected to additional analysis like MR, CT of abdomen, torax, vena cava renal in order to check further invasion if any. Doctor said he will treated him with sunitinib as a first line treatment. I am wondering whether treatment with cabozantinib in combination with ipililumab and nivolumab would be better choice then what he suggested? Also, would you advice us to check the tumour tissue for the expression of Met and VEGFR? I would appreciate very much for your opinion, or

I took prolia shot almost a year ago. I have gum disease for first time now. Can I safely get gum treatment and deep cleaning? Do I treat it differently because of Prolia? Do I risk worse infection? Do I take antibiotics first? Should I wait 6 more months to be more prolia free? ## Hello Janet, Here is what the National Institute of Health has to say on this matter. [1] NIH Prolia Information Section 5.4 "For patients requiring invasive dental procedures, clinical judgment of the treating physician and/or oral surgeon should guide the management plan of each patient based on individual benefit-risk assessment." Basically this means that it's going to be up to your doctor and dentist to determine what is safe and if your oral situation needs to be addressed immediately or can...

My husband suffers from sciatica and has suffered from it for at least 10 years. He has had 2 major invasive back surgeries to release pressure off of his sciatic nerve. The second surgery got him off of the floor and enabled him to function but only with the help of Norco and Tylenol and Ibuprofen. For some reason there is NO Norco available in Houston or the surrounding suburbs at this time. Does anyone know what is going on? ## I am sorry to hear this as as I also suffer from sciataca and also live in Houston. Hey, I have been prescribed adderall for the last 10 years, but recently I was abruptly cut off. This was due to an illegal invasion of my privacy, and I have severe add/adhd. As a result, I'm about to lose my college investment. I also am in a methadone maintenance program, but I desperately need my add meds. back to regain my executive functioning skills. I have never abused my adderall and my records concur. Is there a recommended doctor in eastern Wisconsin that will prescribe adderall and xanax in conjunction with one another? In addition, they must be ok with prescribing to a patient already is in a methadone program, due to an opiate addiction. I have severe anxiety as well, and I was just about to graduate with a dual-degree from a prestigious university until I was abruptly...

Is it normal to have bruising after having a stent put in through the groin? My husband had this procedure done a week ago. ## Hello, Lady d! How are you? Yes, bruising can occur after almost any invasive medical procedure, including dental extractions and actual full surgery. You can read more about it in the details provided by the NIH. Anything that requires the tissue to be cut, ripped open or manipulated in any unusual manner can result in bruising. Has it changed, any? A healing bruise should gradually go from the darkish color to a pale yellowish or greenish shade, which denotes improvement. If you're concerned, then please speak to his doctor.
