Instaflex is actually classified as a supplement, not a medication, so no, it should not be a problem, as long as your doctor approves. I am on Plavix plus Aspirin 81mg. Could I safely try Instaflex for my arthritis and joint pain? ## I assume you're talking about InstaFlex Advanced joint supplement? If so, then you may wish to double check with your pharmacist just to be safe, as it contains Curcumin, which could affect blood pressure [1]. ARE IMFLAMATORY MEDICATIONS HARMFUL TO THE EYES? ## Instaflex is not an actual medication of any type, it is an over the counter supplement that is claimed to help with joint health. As such, the side effect profiles for it have not been studied, as is done for prescription medications. This company doesn't even list the full ingredients and amounts on their website, the only things they do note are that it contains Glucosamine, MSM and Hyuralonic Acid, which are contained in many over the counter products that are claimed to help your joints. As to actual NSAIDs, such as Diclofenac or Ibuprofen, visual changes and problems from them are considered serious side effects that you should contact your doctor about. This will be my first time taking Instaflex. How am I supposed to take it? I am currently taking Tramadol 50mg for knee pain. In my right knee I have no cartilage left in it. It is basically rubbing bone on bone. I need to know the success rate with both drugs. ## Tramsdol, gambinton, ibroproytin andare instaflex, cantina thèse be taKen together ## Instaflex is not considered a medication, it is classified as a supplement. It contains Turmeric, Resveratrol, Boswella extract, collagen, hyaluronic acid, and bioperine. These are believed to help with joint pain, and inflammation, but Instaflex is not FDA approved, and hasn't been proven to help. Some people report good results with it, and if your doctor approves, there is usually no harm in trying it. Having recently started having...

Can Instaflex be taken with Trileptal, Klonopin or Azor ## Hi Carrie, Unfortunately, there aren't any drug interactions/contraindications listed between natural alternatives (such as Instaflex) and pharmaceutical preparations. So there's really no way to know for sure how safe it may be alongside any of those medications you mentioned. For that reason alone, I believe your best bet would probably be to consult a naturopathic physician or herbalist who truly understands how those natural ingredients work within your body and in conjunction with certain types of medications. Posted below are the ingredients found in Instaflex: Glucosamine Sulfate Methylsufonlylmethane (MSM) White Willow Bark Extract (standardized to 15% Salicin) Ginger Root Concentrate 4:1 Boswella Serrata Extract...

Are there any drug intereactions of Instaflex with Vivelle Dot, Lovaza or Zetia? ## Instaflex is an over the counter supplement that's used to aid with joint health and mobility. They have several different formulations, but most contain Glucosamine and MSM as the base ingredients, then some herbal supplements, as well. Learn more dietary supplement details here. However, as a supplement, it has not been tested for possible interactions with prescription medications, because those types of studies aren't required to be done for it. The best suggestion I could make would be to double check with your pharmacist, before taking it. What condition are you trying to treat with it? ## My sister has arthritis in her knees, she uses a cane.. she's also 72 years old. She doesn't t...

I am taking a naproxin sodium in the morning and at night but would like to have more relief during the day. Would Instaflex be the answer? ## Hello, Nettie! How are you? Instaflex is only classified by the FDA as being a nutritional supplement, so it isn't actually proven to help with anything. The manufacturer lists it as containing Glucosamine, MSM, White Willow Bark extract, ginger root, boswella, turmeric, cayenne and hyaluronic acid. It is also always best to check with your doctor, before taking any supplements, as they may be contraindicated with some medications or health conditions. This may help you, but there's no way to say for sure. Is there anything else I can help with?

If I'm allergic to Bactrim, can I take glucosamine sulfate, methylsulfonylemethane, hyaluronan, boswellia serrata, white willow bark, turmeric root extract, cayenne. (All the ingredients found in Instaflex) ## Hello, Zory! How are you? One is a drug and the other is an over the counter supplement, which means the supplement really hasn't been evaluated to see if it may cause problems with certain allergies. Since there are some sulfa based ingredients, there is chance that you could react to it, if it was the Sulfamethoxazole in the Bactrim that you're allergic to, thus it would be best to check with your doctor, before taking it. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is it okay to take Instaflex with Declofenac, Tramadol and Tylenol. I know white will bark has a substance similar to aspirin. I'm wondering about the Declofenac (NSAID) with an aspirin-type ingredient. Also, I no longer have AFIB but am still taking a low dose of Atenolol and Flecainide (preventive) and am slowing going off of it. Okay to take the Instaflex. My doc doesn't know a lot about these herbs. ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? I'm sorry, but no one knows a lot about herbs and natural remedies. Since they can't be patented like prescription drugs, no one has any reason to spend the money to evaluate them for side effects or interactions with medications. Have you tried contacting the manufacturers to ask if they have any information for you? ## Can you take instafle...

Is it ok to take instaflex if u have heart problems, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and thyriod problems? ## Instaflex is an over the counter product that is claimed to help with joint health, so as nothing more than a dietary supplement, it hasn't actually been tested for possible interactions with medications and health conditions. However, since I am also a hypertension and cardiac patient, I can tell you that one of the ingredients in it is Black Pepper and it can cause blood pressure elevations in some people. It can really depend on the person, so I'd suggest checking with your doctor, or pharmacist, before taking it. From what I've found, any of the various pepper extracts can cause blood pressure elevations in some people, so you have to be careful about taking th...

Are there any known negative reactions to taking OTC, Instaflex and Legtrin, within the same 24 hour period? Also, is there a potential for negative reactions taking OTC Andrew Lessman's Nail-Skin-Hair, and his MSM 500 with Sulfate, along with Instaflex within the same 24 hour time frame? Thank you. ## No studies have been done on non-medicinal supplements and their possible side effects, but some potent ones have been known to cause nausea in some people, according to user reports.
