My primary won't prescribe any narcotics, so I'm looking for a new primary. I am going to Bay State pain mng, but they won't do anything at all until I jump through all their hoops.I have been waiting for 4 months now to get facet injections, and IF i ever get one, I have to wait 3 months in between each one which has been awful. I have severe chronic back pain and Fibromyalgia and have tried steroids, injections, therapy (both physical and mental) and nothing has helped except narcotic pain medication. But with the new regs. etc, I cannot find a Dr to prescribe them. ## I've been transferred to Muscatine, Iowa for business and I'm having trouble finding pain management clinics that will take cash. I have chronic pain and have tried everything: physical therapy,acupuncture , nerve blocks, steroid and non steroid injections, epidural a, pain pump, tens machine, I have herniated, bludging and bone on bone disks in my while back. In addition I have a large kidney stone that has to be removed. I have taken narcotics before and know that they work. I have proof of my condition .im in south pain and I just want to find a doctor who will prescribe narcotics as nothing else has worked.i have 4 children, no quality of life, can't do normal everyday things. I could really use some advice here. I moved to the Chicago area from out West and the pain management is like night and day from there to here. I feel like b/c there is such a drug abuse problem in the Chicagoland region the doctors I have seen are not willing to prescribe opiates and if they do they aren't willing to prescribe what is necessary to provide pain relief. The doctors I have been seeing in the Chicagoland area seem dead set on installing a Spinal Cord Stimulator. I have also had a doctor who only wants to do epidurals, injections and when he looked at what I was prescribed to when I came and saw him, he literally flipped out. My primary dr refuses to prescribe any pain medication at all for me, even though I have 2 ruptured discs, and my L5-S1 is completely gone so it's bone on bone and I have the MRI to prove it. I have been trying for something to fix my migraines for years. After trying preventatives my neurologist went to narcotics. I went through oxy percs injectable Demerol (100mg) and NOTHING worked as well as the Dilaudid has, my dr got banned from writing anything controlled for 3 years. I live in Tyler Tx. I am looking for a doctor in sioux falls, sd that's not "afraid" to prescribe narcotic pain meds. I've had severe back pain for years, have been through chiropractors, physical therapy, injections, nothing helped. I feel like I just had to learn to live with the pain. Since having 2 kids, the pain has increased immensely, but my current Doc will not give me anything that helps. I have tried meloxicam, gabepentin, tramadol (which I found I was allergic to, though it did help slightly), and feel I am about to overdose on naproxen and tylenol, because they are all I have access to and though they don't help, I keep hoping they may if I take enough.
