Hi , My neice was getting fever during nights continously for 3 to 4 days , when we took her to doctor and conducted blood tests malaia and typhoid tests are negative. Doctor has suggested monocef 1g iv/im injection twice a day for 5 days,. we took the dosage for 3 days. Now i want to know whether 2mg /day is too heavy for 4yrs kid. ## Hello, Bp! How does the monocef inj. work to prevent loose motion when taken with mikacin? ## These are both antibiotics, so they can actually cause loose motion as a side effect, according to the NIH, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and non-allergic skin rash. However, if your current case of loose motion has been caused by some type of infection, they may help and you should take them, if your doctor has instructed you to do so. My child has been operated for choledocal cyst six yrs back and now she is o.k but unfortunetly she has been detected typhoid. which medicine is suitable for her. her age is nine plus. dr has given her septran. shall we give her monocef injection or some other medicine. after six hours her temp raised 102 then we given her lotemp paracetomol after consuming lotemp her temp remains normal

My daughter was suffering with vomiting and now she is suffering with loose motions (diarrhea). Doctor prescribed Monocef 500 Inj. and kalicacin 250 Inj. twice a day. Continuous Vomiting got controlled and had totally stopped, but loose motions continued... Can I stop her monicef and kalicacin inj's.? ## You should give her the medications for as long as her doctor has told you to do so. Diarrhea, nausea, non-allergic skin rash, and headache can be side effects of this antibiotic. They should clear up within a week, or so, of her finishing her course of treatment. How many days will she be taking it?
