i'VE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH HIGH CRP and I am trying to find what is causing it and what to do about it. ## CRP is produced by the liver and by fat cells (adipocytes). The most common cause of C Reactive Protein is infection. If you have burning on urination, getting up in the night to urinate, urgency when your bladder is full all the time, check for a urinary tract infection. If you have wheezing and a chronic cough or shortness of breath, check for a lung infection. If you have belching and burning in your stomach. I would speak with your M.D. and ask he/she the right treatments for you. ## For talking care of High CRP levels discuss Revozyme Forte with your Doc

Can Bystolic cause an inflamed liver? Also, can it make your extremities like feet, fingers, and legs painful? My husband has been on this med for approx.3 years. ## Hello, Mimi! How are you and your husband doing? Most medications are processed through the liver and may cause problems, but only a doctor can tell him for sure if it's due to the Bystolic or something else. What type of pain is he getting, is it numbness, as if they are too cold? Blood pressure and cardiac medications, such as this one, work by affecting circulation, so some of them can cause these types of problems, I've had it happen myself. One was so severe that I had to stop taking it. Learn more Bystolic details here. What does his doctor feel is causing the problems he's experiencing? Is this the only medi...

My husband started Xarelo Dec 21. He is having a lot of hip/leg/knee pain, and we've been told the drug is breaking down the DVT clots and setting up inflammation in his body as a reaction. He is taking hydrocodone around the clock for this pain. What to do? How long will this last? Are others dealing with this? ## Hello, Jan! How is your husband doing? Yes, pain in various joints and muscles can be a side effect of this medication, as reported by the FDA. He may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and easy bruising. Side effects are usually transient and improve, once someone's body gets used to a medication, but that can take 4 to 5 weeks. ## He's been on the drug since Dec. 21, so 20 days out, he's getting a little better. He just went on the one-a-day dose of...

I had twisted my left foot by wrong stepping and am now feeling a severe pain. The left foot is swollen too. Can I take Voveran Plus to help alleviate the pain and swelling? Please advise. ## Have you consulted a doctor? This is an information only website and does not diagnose, nor recommend treatment for any medical conditions. Voveran Plus contains the active ingredients Diclofenac and Paracetamol - It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever and swelling. In which case it's purported to help with such conditions. However, on the flip side, it may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. ## Voveran tablet can be used for severe joint pain, but not more than twice a day.

My mom is prescribed PAN-D and she is 80 years old. After a week of the medication, swelling of the feet has been observed. Is this a side effect of PAN-D? ## Pan-D contains the active ingredients Pantoprazole and Domperidone, it is used to treat problems commonly associated with excess stomach acid, such as heartburn, GERD and gastritis. In this case, the swelling of her feet is probably associated with the Domperidone, it is warned about as an unusual side effect in the patient advisories and she should contact her doctor about this immediately, as she will probably need to stop using this medication. Has she contacted her doctor, yet?

I have taken Indomethacine for chronic inflammation (possible spondylitis) for 3 weeks and it seemed to make the pain worse than while taking Advil. I switched to Meloxicam and have been taking it for a week. Again, no relief and perhaps it's even worse! Is it possible for these drugs to worsen the pain? How long does it generally take to get relief while taking these meds? ## Unfortunately, some people do experience the opposite of the intended effects from any given medication. It could be that you may need to explore other treatment options. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. Have you only tried NSAIDs, so far?

As an anti-inflammatory, what is most effective: 75mg diclofenac NA or 200mg ibuprophen? ## The Diclofenac is much stronger, that is why it is only available by prescription and you can purchase the 200mgs of Ibuprofen over the counter. This, however, also means that side effects, such as: nausea, headache, stomach irritation and ulcers can occur more rapidly and be more serious. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Earlier this year, I was hospitalized for a stroke. It was actually pretty mild, I sounded like I was drunk and had a slight droop to my right side of my face. From tests done over time, the doctor's are pretty are convinced it was caused from my untreated high blood pressure. I have had HBP for years, and taking meds for it. My RX ran out last Dec. and my PCP would not refill it, until I check with the cardiologist I had seen one time a year earlier. I emailed her, during this time (12/15/16) because it was Christmas time, probably would not be able to see anyone until after the first of the year, AND I was pretty sure my insurance was going to change AGAIN - THANK YOU Obama care! The past few years, it always seems to change, and FINALLY, by the end of March, you get your new card...

I've recently been referred to pain management. I have never been on pain meds, except for times when I had surgery. I'm really skeptical about the inj's. & how I will feel after getting them done. I'm a 24/7 caretaker to my 72yr old father, I do just about everything for him & he can't be left alone for longer than an hour. Im an only child, my mother isn't around either. I have been on norco for 3 years. I take up to 5, 10/325 mg tablets. I have recently found out I have an inflammed pancreas. Also, in the past I have had kidney problems. I also take lots of other medications, and I am concerned about my liver, and inflammed pancreas. I want to take an opiate pain killer without acetaminophen, ibprofen, and naproxen because they are bad for your liver. How do I get a drug like that? Why do they put those other otc meds in the pain killer, when it hurts your liver/ ## Hello, Saree! How are you? The Acetaminophen and NSAIDs tend to augment the action of the narcotic in some people, so they often get better pain relief from a lower dose of the narcotic. However, there are many available that do not contain any of them, such as Zohydro, Oxycontin, Roxicodon...

How does ibuprofen compare to Celebrex or Toradol for post surgery inflammation and pain? Ibuprofen has always worked for me in the past and I'd prefer a safer alternative. ## None of these are really a safer alternative, so to speak, because they are all NSAIDs, so the possible risks, such as stomach ulceration, gastritis and increased risk of bleeding are about the same for all. Really, it would most likely be best to stick with the one that you know works well for you. What has your surgeon recommended? Of the choices you listed, Toradol is the strongest, so it may provide the most pain relief.

I was diagnosed heavy inflammation by my pcp latter cidp by a neurologist. The pcp put me first on lortab took me off and put me on Norco right before I went to the neurologist for a second opinion. The neurologist left me on the Norco. Any advice on which brand or type of 10/325. Norco works best? ## Hello, Pat! How are you? It really depends on you and which one works best for you. Norco and Lortab are the same, they both contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. This is listed by the FDA as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Has the one you've been receiving from your pharmacy worked well for you? ## I would get constipated at first on any of the drugs ...
