I am in desperate need of finding a doctor who will prescribe subutex in wv. I cannot take suboxone for it makes me very depressed and suicidal. If anyone can help me please find someone that can help me. I cannot go to another treatment center bc I don't drive and I can only find rides for doctor appointments if its once or twice a month only. I am currently on subutex now but it costs way too much. I just moved to WV and need a Dr. That will prescribe methadone. Because I don't want to go to a methadone clinic ## If you're using it for addiction treatment, then you have no choice but to go to a clinic as it is against the law for private physicians to prescribe it for addiction treatment. I am an addict and did control my addiction with suboxone. From the beginning it made me sick to my stomach I stayed swollen, and never had any gritty up and go about myself. Well I tried the subutex on my own and the stomach issues were gone the swelling subside and I have more energy and gumption to get out and enjoy life. I am very low income and rely on my family for transportation. If anyone can give me names of doctors that will prescribe me the subutex in or close to Beckley west virginia and/or in Logan west virginia and accepts Medicaid I would forever be thankful for your help. I am currently in treatment and have been for 3 months. I am allergic to Suboxone but was put on it anyway even though another doctor in the facility personally witnessed my allergy to Suboxone. I also had the same exact reaction to Bunavail. I was taken off my Subutex which I had no problem with and put on something I am allergic to. I do NOT wish to continue seeing a doctor willing to risk my life because they are that afraid of the DEA. My brother takes Oxycontin 80 mg. for timed release pain management and 30 mg. roxycodone for break thru pain. He has seen the same doctor and went to the same pharmacy for over 10 years. Suddenly last month, drug store did not have the 30 mg. available for a few days and this month, I was told that 30 mg. were no longer available. I cannot get his medication anywhere ( the 30 mg.) Are they no longer on the market? ## Roxicodone (regular timed to act) and Oxycodone(contin) (longer time acting) are essentially the same medication but here apparently prescribed for different effects. I've had back surgery and have degenerative disc disease that is already "severe" at 36yo. I'm miserable. My Dr just got in trouble so I went from 4 Roxy 20s and 2 opana 5s daily to 3 Roxy 15s daily. ive been prescribed oxycodone between 5mg up to 30 mg at a time any where from 3 times a day up to 5 times a day. I have a debilitating degenerating bone disease in my hips and lower back have 1 artificial hip awaiting the other replacement ... nothing else helps the pain except medicine that's being highly abused in my area and with recent fear of dr writing scripts its very hard to find a dr who will write them. this has forced me to patron some questionable facilities in the past several years. now im out of options and my family dr doesn't prescribe them. Only medical professionals that are specially trained to treat with it are allowed to do so, and only in a clinical medical setting. My partner was recently given an injection and three day prescription of Buprenorphine/Subutex for severe pain during an ER visit. She is a veteran and suffers from chronic pain and has been years in pain and has managed to suffer without pain medication. After she received the injection and prescription, she realized how comfortable and nice life can be without having to experience severe chronic pain constantly. The Subutex did relieve her pain a great deal. We did talk to the ER doctor whom prescribed the medication and he did not know of a local doctor that would continue her prescription if Subutex for pain management purposes. I am a resident of West Virginia and have Medicare with Symphonix Value Rx by UnitedHealthcare prescription coverage which DOES cover my Subutex prescription. I go to the doctor in PA, less than one mile across the WV state line.
