I recently received knee surgery due to a car accident. However, I was already receiving Oxycodone for the pain associated with me tearing my ACL. The insurance company of the people who were responsible for the accident paid for my surgery, but in doing so, I violated my physician's policy of seeing another Dr. So he cut me off. I have all my medical records and I'm experiencing extreme pain. Searching for Oxy 30's on the streets are out of the question. Can anyone recommend an alternative route/ Dr.? ## Do u still have any oxy left? Or were you able to obtain any?

I'm looking for a doctor in the Kansas City Missouri area who prescribes Adderall without going through a psychiatrist. ## Hello, Amie! How are you? Technically, any doctor with their license to practice medication could prescribe it, however, due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, most will not and will require you to go to a psychiatrist. To avoid improper prescribing and over prescribing, it's been decided that it's best for specialists to handle the prescribing of such medications. Doctors can, in some cases, prescribe them for existing patients, without any issues, but most have just gone hands-offs. The FDA lists Adderall as a stimulant that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause s...

I need to know the name of the doctor in Johnson City Tennessee who prescribes Subutex and benzo's at the same time I am interested in maintenance. ## Most Drs won't prescribe the two together. Because they both are downers. A lot of people dont know that. They lower your respiration. Finding a dr that will prescribe the two will be difficult. You can always seek a primary care or Ive heard some place called Graceland that would write the benzos and just find another doctor for addiction purposes solely. ## Restoration and wellness is located on Susanna Drive in Johnson City the doctor's name is dr. Morris he will prescribe you benzos and Subutex ## If you have a dr giving you pain meds or maintenance meds primary dr can't give nerve meds they tell u get from your other ...

My doctor recently left the practice. He was my GP and wrote all my meds including pain meds for my spinal stenosis. The doctor he referred me to is writing them but she is reducing them and told me that the practice is trying to get patients on narcotics over to pain management doctors. I know that many pain management doctors do not write prescriptions and instead do injections, PT, etc. I have been down that road with nothing to show for it. Does anyone know of a good pain management doctor that will write pain meds but not subject you to a UA every single month or an office visit every single month? It's not that I won't pass it I just don't want another paranoid doctor that is more worried about the Fed than me. Thank you! ## That's not just something that their pra...

I have been on a combination of oxycontin and cortisone for 8 years. I've always taken them as directed and never missed my medication. I've only had 2 doctors in 10 years that prescribed my medication. Unfortunately I need a new doctor now and don't know who to see. I feel like doctors are punishing me for being on these medications, but they have worked very well with no side effects for 8 years. Without them I would be much, much less active I will never be pain free but these medications make my neuropathy, arthritis and osteoporosis manageable. I also have liver issues so I am limited with medications. Please let me know if anyone can help. I'm located east of the city. Thank You Denise. {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Denise! I'm in a suicidal state over the fact that I have not been able to get any help with depression does anybody know of a psychiatrist here in New York City in August that would be taking Medicare ## Hello, John! How are you? I am so very sorry about what you're going through. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? They should be able to prescribe something that can help, in the meantime, while you're hunting for psychiatrist. Are you currently on any medications? Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?

Was in rehab in the past under court order so finding a Dr. that will give narcotics for my pain has been close to impossible. Want to get pain meds from Dr. not from street. Anyone know a doctor who is sympathetic to chronic pain patients around Traverse City, MI. area? ## You might want to contact a lawyer to see if your states reports people who have been in rehab by the state and if people are flagged and how a doctor would get that information. Sometimes this information is not shared between agency's. For example I don't know how your doctor would know unless you are flagged by your state monitoring program. However when you see a new doctor they will ask you to sign a pain contract before getting opiates medication and if he finds out you lied you could be dropped and tha...

I'm moving to Vassar, Michigan in a few months and I'm looking for many types of doctors. Bay City, Saginaw, Michigan are some of the bigger city near to Vassar which is a very small city with hardly any doctors. I need a PCP, pain management, ENT, gastroenterologists, neurologist, urologist, nephrologist, hepatologist, cardiologist, and pulmonologist. I'm take 39 medications daily which means I take 87 pills a day plus inhalers, nasal sprays, nebulizer, and inj's. I have been seeing some of these doctors for 20+ years and have great relationships with them. I been seeing the pain management doctor for 7 years. I take Opana ER, oxycodone/apap, Lyrica, and a muscle relaxer. I know not all PM doctors will prescribe the same medications or Narcotic pain medications but I ha...

I am currently taking MsContin and lortab for headaches, lumbar herniations, degeneration, stenosis and sciatica and dysmennorhea I plan on moving in the next 11 months thanks for any help ## Hi, Chaos! How are you? When moving to a new area and requiring those types of medications for long-term chronic pain, you're best bet would be to establish a relationship in the new area with a PCP, then have them refer you to a pain management specialist. There are so many new regulations in place, that it's going to be hard to get the help you need, if you try to do it some other way, such as finding a doctor on your own. Learn more MS Contin details here. Learn more Lortab details here. Have you discussed it with your current doctor? They may have a colleague in that area that they can ...

This is a lotion for one afflicted with epidermolysis bullosa simplex-kobner. The ingredients are 1/2%HC, 1/2%NEO. I would like to receive any information from a doctor regarding this lotion. Can it be gotten over-the-counter? ## I am afflicted with epidermolysis bullosa simplex/kobner and yes, in my case a prescription must be obtained from a doctor. I was introduced to this Iowa City Lotion back in the mid-1960's by a new dermatologist that came to town. It's good stuff. It has never let me down!! Before I used this lotion, I was prescribed ointments. These ointments did not work for me. This modified lotion worked great for me and I couldn't live without it. I really need too add that this is an EXTERNAL application Lotion Only!! This lotion is in no way to be taken inter...

I injured my back in 2003 and then bad car wreck in 2005 was on pain pills but seen to abuse then after 3yrs. Got on suboxon it works great but my doctor that work it for pain management retired so 7 had to go to a suboxone clinic and they want to keep taking me down in my dose when i am maintaining just fine with pain. ## Hello, Julie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. Yes, it is normal for the Suboxone doctor to want to taper you down, after a period of time, because that is what they are supposed to do, since they treat addiction, not pain. It is in the FDA guidelines for such treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and con...

I am uninsured and have a referral to a pain management clinic, but cannot afford the clinic. I would like to know of any cheap doctors who would prescribe the narcotic pain medication I need to be on in the Kansas City MO area. ## Hi, Kat! How are you? I'm sorry, but under the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require narcotic pain medications on a long-term basis to treat chronic pain, you're going to have to see a pain management specialist. PCPs are no severely restricted in what they can prescribe, how long they can prescribe it and why they can prescribe it. Do you qualify for any type of assistance to help paying for the clinic? ## Hello Verwon, thank you for the reply. I am currently trying to get Medicaid but I know the clinics do not take Medicai...

It would b nice to find a free doctor but I know that can't happen here. I got Medicaid and I know it don't pay for visit and really don't know if it will pay for subutex anymore since I'm not pregnant know. ## Hello, Leary! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. The best suggestion I can make is to contact your nearest large hospitals and see if they have a social work or patient assistance/advocate group. They usually have lists of doctors that accept Medicaid, or low-income patients on a sliding fee scale, so they may be able to help you. Alternatively, do ...
