I'm brand new to this..my fiance is in the verge of being diagnosed with colon cancer we have just seen oncologist recently he has prescribed him 10mg of oxycontin sr 2times per day and percocet 5/325.2 every 4 hrs as needed his pain is tremendous and has debilitated him he was prescibed 90 for now and that was 3 days ago he is now down to 45 left he will run out quickly in the next few we are new to this and I think he is takin well over the recommended dose but his pain is so bad and its the only thing that gives him any sort of relief and not even that much. Os therd anything stronger we could ask the doctor for that may help..somebody said ask for dilaudid but I don't think that comes in pill form he had that as an Iv in the hospital and it helped soo much. i am a 57 year old male i am now taking hydrocodone 10/325 tabs 5x day as needed for 3years befor that 7.5/325 4x day before that propoxyphene 65mgs taps 3x day for about 15 years problems c-6 &l-5 broken r- foot shatterd left knee 6-ops than total knee replaced do ned to stop can i or would it be to hard with out anything i hurt to much to work i need to work to live do i need help ## You're asking if you need to stop pain medications? Find walk in Pain Clinic open on Saturdays in Georgia ## Did you find a place? I am not sure there are any pain clinics that just have walk-in hours. Most of them want fully established patient relationships, due to the nature of the medications prescribed. Learn more pain management details here. If you're in severe pain, the best thing you can probably do is go to your nearest ER for assistance.

I'm 25y/o suffering from lupus and herniated disks up my neck. I can't live with this pain anymore. Oxycodone seems to be the only thing that helps, but I don't know of a doctor that prescribes it. Anyone know of any docs or how I could get in to see a doc? I just don't want to be in pain anymore! I live in the Pinellas County area of FL, so counties near here would be best. Thank you for your support and help! ## Even if you do find a doctor that will prescribe it, getting it filled anywhere in Florida right now is liable to be very difficult. There have been many posts about the issue, many pharmacies are either no longer carrying it, or are refusing to fill prescriptions for it. What other medications have you tried?

I have chronic back pain I broke it in 2006 I have two rods and eight screws I also scratched my spinal cord which causes my legs to tingle so much it hurts and want to cut them off. nothing the doctors have prescribed works. Im 29, and I think I may have done damage to my liver. Im scared. I have developed a physical and mental addiction to opiates that has spun beyond what I could have ever imagined. I quit trying to get help in Arkansas and haven't tried going any where else because doctors seem like they are afraid to prescribe anything . I have Psoriasis on every joint, stomache area and behind the ears as well as pain in all of my joints where I have the Psoriasis. I have tried using online doctors but that is just so expensive. I have used hydrocodone and it take about 40 mg to get relieve that last for about 6 hours and same withe percocet. I had a friend let me try his hydromorphone(diluadid) and 4mg of that seem to work better and last longer but I don't know of any doctor especially in Arkansas that will prescribe it. What are the people with chronic pain going to do now that Drs will not prescribe pain meds they need and are in legitimate pain? Drs think you are a drug seeker if you ask for lortab even thought you really are in pain. What is going to happen to these people. Pain can cause other things such as high blood pressure and depression yet most Drs will not treat their pain because of all the drug seekers. What can be done about this. There has tobe a solution. The Physician's Oath says"First do no harm" But when they let someone in real pain walk out the door with no pain meds they in my mind are doing harm. There has to be a way to work this out so that people in real pain will be treated so they can have a quality of life. When you are in real pain you have no quality of life....

They are really only used in cases of severe pain, where someone either can't take oral medications, or they have exhausted other pain control options. Learn more pain amanagement details here.
