Round white pill with IG on one side and 239 on the other found in kids room, what is this?? ## This one has been a challenge to find a definite match for. Basically, FDA approved prescription drugs are all required to contain a unique imprint code / color / shape from all manufacturers. The fact that this marking is not showing up all over the place can indicate one of the following: 1. It may be an over the counter medication 2. It may be from outside the United States 3. It can be an illegal drug - although I doubt it with this one since the markings are so specific I wish I could be more specific with this post, but at this point it is difficult to tell. Are there any other details which you can provide? If anybody else has more questions or details concerning this particular pill, ...

Blood pressure meds are not recreational drugs. You could kill yourself. If you want your feet to swell and heart to stop, well sounds like a risky buzz to me if any. I have taken it for months now and I assure you, no opiate type effects. Your blood pressure will drop, might make you dizzy but no fun there and too much can kill you. My advice to you my friend is this: Don't play with this med. It is for cardiac patients with serious needs to help control heart. A fine line here. As far as getting buzzed on pills, man, leave it alone.

round white tablet with the number 10 on one side and 239 on the other side ## Located a white round pill with 239 IG on it. It could look like a 10 if it's an older pill. If this is your pill it's Amlodipine Besylate 10 mg. Amlodipine is a long-acting calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine class) used as an anti-hypertensive and in the treatment of angina. Like other calcium channel blockers, amlodipine acts by relaxing the smooth muscle in the arterial wall, decreasing total peripheral resistance and hence reducing blood pressure; in angina it increases blood flow to the heart muscle. Found half pill in house I'm cleaning wondering what it is its 23 on the half I have on other side it looks like a G but the other is missing ## Hello, Raydogg! How are you? From your description, I have a suspicion that you've found half of an Amlodipine tablet, there are 2 available that would have the logo IG on one side and numbers that start with 23 on the other, a 5mg one with 238 and a 10mg one with 239 on it, both are round and white. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, dry cough, increase urination and hypotension. I can't be certain, of course, since you only have half of the tablet, but that's the ne...

is the medicine amlodipine besylate medicine time released. ## Hi Barbara, Usually if a medication is time-released it will have one of the following abbreviations at the end of the drug name: XL, ER, SR, or perhaps some other similar notation. From my experience, if a label doesn't actually specify that it's time released in such a way, then it would probably be safe to assume that it's not. However, if you happen to know what the imprint/markings are on your tablet, I'd be happy to verify this for you. I hope this helps! ## The markings on his pill are IG on one side and 239 on the other. Thanks for the help ## What does BES after the printed name? ## @Barbara, My apologies for the late reply, as I just received notification of recent activity on this thread. I'm s...
