What if any side affects does ferro-tab 200 mg have. thankyou ## From what I could gather, Ferro-tab is an iron supplement for those who may be low in iron or anemic. The only side effects I've found on this supplement is that it may cause nausea, stomach upset, dark stools, and possibly constipation. Tablets to cure anemia ## Ferrous sulfate is the correct name. Basically it is a supplemental form of Iron Salts. You can view more info in the link below... Obviously iron or iron absorption is lacking in the diet. If you want to avoid pills, you should naturally eat more iron rich foods, like spinach, hemp seeds, watermelon, and MANY more. Also try to eat more kiwi for their high vitamin C content. It is much higher than oranges and will help with iron absorption issues. There are a vast number of other foods with similar properties to help you naturally if this is the route you choose to take. Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.

I have been taking Ferrous Sulfate tablets (325 mg; 1 tablet 3 times per day) for the last month. My Hgb is still 87 and Hct 27.7 (both results are still low). These pills have been perscribed through the VA Clinic. My Family Physician says that he has had better results using the Poly Iron 150 than the Ferrous Sulfate. My question then is: If I order the Poly Iron tablets....at what dosage am I going to take them. Now taking 975 mg of ferrous sulfate and the poly iron is 150 mg. Would I take the same dosage of the Poly Iron to do any good? ## Hi Robert, How many tablets of Ferrous sulfate are you currently taking in order to reach 975mg? Hi, I'm 17 years old and I'm taking 1 tablet of Ferrous Sulfate once a day. But I'm also taking 1 1/2 tablets of Predisone twice a day and along with multiple other dosages of other medicines. Could this be the reason for the churning sick feeling in my stomach? ## I think it largely depends on what all the other medications are that you might be taking with it. Just about all prescription drugs can cause these types of side effects. Based on my research, Ferrous Sulfate does list "constipation" and "stomach upset" as side effects. It also mentions that you should tell your doctor if either of these symptoms are severe or do not go away. The only problem I see with pinpointing the culprit, is that Prednisone also lists this as side effect as well. And I can o...
