I Want To See The Mirtazapine Pill

My physician placed me on a 15mg dose of Mirtazapine beginning with just a 'half' dose for the 1st week. I tried this dosage for 2 nights and ended up having 'heigthened' throbbing and 'restless-like' syndrome of my entire body-especially the right side. I have Fibromyalgia, Renauds' syndrome and have suffered from years of sleep problems. I have been on varying doses of Elavil over the last 12 yrs but this no longer helps. I do suffer from mild depression, mostly due to work stresses but I have been on a medical leave since July 11'05 post rotator cuff surgery. Tonight I will be trying Ambien- 5mg dose. The claim that Mirtazapine is used to treat 'tremors' is contradictory in my case-seemed like it was causing mild tremor-like throbbing with my l...

Im on quetiapine MR 700mgs a day i also take sertraline 100mgs a day , tramadol 200mgs daily , depakote 1000mgs daily, and zolpidem 10mgs at night , my doctor is thinking about putting me on mirtazapine 45mgs daily i wanted to know if this is safe with all my other meds i have mentioned ? ## Many of the medications you've listed can affect serotonin levels, so adding another one creates the risk of your developing serotonin syndrome, which can be dangerous. It's not that they can't be combined, but it must be done very carefully, with the doses taken under careful consideration and the patient being regularly monitored. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Mirtazapine as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. Are you seei...

Ive am a recent user of Mirtezepine and have only been on them 5wks. They have made me sleep up to 12hrs a day for the 1st 2wks,e to take a Diazepan to kick my sleep in . They did calm me down within 1hr of taking them as I was having thoughts of impending doom , death & suicidal thoughts all the time .I have a job getting up and only do when I feel ready to , which could be anytime. After reading all the things about them I am reluctant to carry on taking them and will have to discuss this with my Dr when I see her next. Does anyone know what category of antidepressants they come into .. ## Mirtazapine is a tetracyclic antidepressant and yes, the drowsiness and fatigue can be normal side effects, however, they should wear off after 4 to 6 weeks, once your body adjusts to the medica...

It seems to me that Mirtazapine is a potentially dangerous drug with little information known about it. My veterinarian prescribed this drug in small quantities for my cat as an appetite stimulant, so I began reading articles on the drug and its effects. Although it is supposed to be used as an antidepressant for humans, it has a wide reputation for causing suicidal tendencies in children and young adults. It causes weight gain (the side effect my vet was looking for in my cat's case). It also can cause feelings of depression, and wooziness. I spoke with a nurse who took it and she said the effects of sluggishness and dizziness lasted 2 to 3 days. It can also cause nausea and headaches. It seems to me that these side effects are anything but what a person who is already depressed sh...

ive been on mirtazapine after suffering from anxiety and insomnia for 18 months. Tried SSRI's (2 types, but they made me more anxious). Ive managed to stay on this so far, they have got rid of the anxiety and insomnia on day 1, which is great!. I have been experiencing other side affects though such as depression and numbness in my face. The appetite hasn't increased as yet (phew), but i have hope for this drug as the sedation seems to be wearing off. If the depression doesnt lift after 6 weeks then i will be coming off them. I have done counselling and cbt. I have been reading self help books for 18th months, but I have not managed to shift the anxiety and insomnia unless im off work or on this drug. I have also started yoga and meditation. I eat well and excercise regularly. s...

I need a pic of this pill, its white round blank on one side and a capital E over numbers 333 on the other side. It is a generic brand ## Hi scott, Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a picture of pill that matches the description you provided. However, I believe that the pill may have been manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (Eon Labs). The closest match I've found is a round light yellow pill with the imprint E 144 divided by a score line. If you google image "yellow pill E 144" You should be able to find the pill I've described. Based on my research, the E logo on this pill is the logo for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (Eon Labs). Hopefully this information will help you to narrow down your search! Has anyone seen a pill like the one scott has described? If so, ...

Hello, I am taking 30mg daily before going to bed (male, 43 yo). I have started with a very low dosage of 7.5mg and over the course of about 1.5 months I reached the current level. I experienced clear drowsiness (which is a good as I was having trouble sleeping) and dry mouth from the beginning. While the effect of drowsiness right after taking the pill persists, the dry mouth seems to be mostly reduced (80% from the top at the beginning). The reason why I'm writing is a strange back pain that started about 6-7 weeks ago. Here is why I find it strange and why I would like to hear from others if they experienced it like this: 1. I wake up every morning with acute back pain over all my back (bottom to below the neck) 2. Due to the pain I can hardly move in bed when I wake up. Often it...

Does Mirtazapine continue to cause drowsyness as long as it is taken, or does that (side) effect wear off in time? If so, how long does it take to wear off? ## Ive been on it for two years, you will def. feel drowsy when you wake up it will take at least and hour or two to wear off and It also seems to wear off once you keep yourself busy ## I have been on Mirtazapine for 9 months now - 15mg at night. I take it around 9:30 pm, but always feel groggy in the morning. True - if you just get up and get going, it will wear off fairly quickly. It has helped me sleep thru the night and gain back weight that I had lost. I feel bloated most of the time, even when I am at my normal weight. ## I've been on Mylan-Mirtazapine for the last year. At the start, my doctor prescribed 30mg per day. Th...

I've been prescribed for insomnia but it makes me feel happy and ready to move. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? No, it is not. The FDA classifies it as an antidepressant that is used to treat major depressive disorder. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was wondering if Mirtazapine is considered a narcotic? I have been prescribed a 30 mg dose and would like to know if lab work would show any narcotics in my system if I start taking it? I haven't been able to sleep. ## Sally please see Verwon's message. This drug is NOT a narcotic (opioid). It is an antidepressant, mostly used to treat depression, but can also be prescribed for anxiety and insomnia.

this tablet is white and round. blank on one side and what looks to be a capital E on the other with the numbers 222 underneath. do you have any pictures of this pill? ## Hi, Scott! How are you? I don't have any pictures to post for you, due to copyright reasons, but I can confirm that there is a 45mg Mirtazapine tablet that matches that description and has that marking. Is anyone experiencing the same symptoms? I am on Mirtazapine 15 mg for over 10 years, and I am taking Aurobindo Mirtazapine since March 2015. Until Sept 2016, I don't have any problem. Now suddenly, I get dizzy sometimes, and my sleep has been shallow for the past three weeks, and last night I could not fall asleep at all. I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms, my heart beats fast and I feel anxious throughout the day. In 2010, there seemed to be the same problem in Mylan Mirtazapine. Source: "Mylan Mirtazapine does not work" I wonder if Aurobindo recently changed the factory. By reading the above link about Mylan Mirtazapine, I found it is very difficult to compose the pill and the effect is different from manufacturer to manufacturer. My doctor told me to stop taki...

Hi there, i have been taking fluoxetine 60mg and 15mg of mirtazapine for quite some time now, unfortunately I'm not sleeping well at all, so I've been to see my doctor and she has told me to stop the mirtazapine straight away and reduce my fluoxetine and gradually introduce the trazadone from 50mg moving up to 100mg possibly 150mg if I feel I need it. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice if they have had anything similar with there medication, it's just that I'm so used to taking my fluoxetine, thanks kaz ## My main concern is how drowsy I get when I wake the next morning ## can lyrica mirtazapine and prosac be taken together. im not really sure about this and i am worried. my psychiatris put me on all 3.again ## Trazodone is often used, when someone b...

I have suffered from quite severe anxiety since losing my mother 2 years ago. I tried many SSRIS which I could not tolerate as I have a 7 and 12 year old to care for and these drugs made my anxiety skyrocket! I have been terrified to try anything else until a couple of weeks ago. I was suffering racing thoughts, physical symptoms and poor sleep and I was desperate. I have been prescribed Mirtazapine to help sleep and also for the low mood/anxiety. I started on 15 mg which immediately helped with my sleep. I had drowsiness for first few days but that went. Because I felt drowsy first couple of days/week the anxiety seemed better and I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Now however my anxiety is as bad if not worse than before and I feel really depressed. I am seeing my GP to discuss a...

My 24 year old overdosed on paracetamol and aspirin last week. She took over 40 tablets. After being released from hospital and seeing her local GP she has been given 14 day supply of this drug. I am concerned to allow her to keep all the tablets. ## Hi, I had overdosed on 15mg mirtazapines and had the Dr's check me over about 3 days later. Do you think all is ok? ## This is an antidepressant that is used to treat various mental health conditions. If you are concerned, it might be best for you to keep the tablets and dispense one to her each day, for her own safety, that is often what is done in mental health units, when someone is suicidal and they want to be cautious. My doctor (who I don't have much confidence in) prescribed a combination of 40mg Escitalopram (Lexapro), 200mg Clomipramine (Anafranil) and 60mg Mirtazapine (Remaron). The maximum dose of Escitalopram and Mirtazapine is 20mg and 45mg respectively. This combination seems insane and I've not found anything on the internet to indicate that this combination has ever been used. Has anyone here used this combination of meds at such doses? Is this a safe combination? ## Various combinations and dosages are often used in the U.S., if someone isn't responding to other medications and dosage combinations.
