Why is the price of methylphenidate so expensive now? My doctor informed me that it is dirt cheap, and is generic. I was diagnosed with ADD, and was informed it was a cheap drug since I could not afford health insurance. My memory and attention is poor. I am willing to try the drug in generic form. ## I take 10 mg methylphenidate three times daily for narcolepsy. I have no health insurance, but I have been paying $6 for ninety pills at the local Wal-Mart. Today I went to have it renewed and got hit with a $55 bill. I am a senior on fixed income. I would imagine that it is either caused by the increased demand due to upturn in ADHD diagnoses, or some effect of the wonderful new Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. His Grace strikes again? ## And I am taking the generic...forgot to tell yo...

My pharmacy said they were running out of generic roxy's 30mg an they will fill the rest with brand. 1 pill is marked (a 215) the other ( 54. 199). I long wondered if there the difference between brand a generic an how much of a difference was it. If you could enlighten me on this matter an the ones with a ( m ) in a square I would greatly appreciate it cause at times they could be sold out of generic brand an offer me the brand name at a discounted price since I have multiple medications filled monthly. From blood thinner injections , patches, etc. Plus my son has ADHD an is on several meds as well as 4 out of 5 of us have Asthma 2 of us use a nebulizer daily and 2 pumps as well. Amprenavir (original brand name Agenerase, GlaxoSmithKline) is a protease inhibitor used to treat HIV infection. It was approved by the Food and Drug Administration on April 15, 1999, for twice-a-day dosing instead of needing to be taken every eight hours. The convenient dosing came at a price, as the dose required is 1,200mg, delivered in 8 (eight) very large 150 mg gel capsules or 24 (twenty-four) 50 mg gel capsules twice daily.[1] It was patented in 1992 and approved for me...

electrolite mineral ## I take large quanities daily. I'm looking foe a better price ## Do you take K-Dur? try a generic, it should be half of k-dur. ## Jim, do you take large quantities per a doctor's instructions? Because too much Potassium can be just as dangerous as not enough, so the amounts used and the amounts in the body MUST be carefully monitored. There are generics available, you will really just have to shop around to try and find the best price available in your area or online.

This pill does not work, Got it a C V S, been using as prescribed for three days with no sleep, I was taking another generic from k-mart that pills worked fine it was oval and purple. changed for the price difference of about $9. ## You may want to go ahead and contact your doctor about any other viable treatment options for insomnia, if the Zolp. I'd however encourage you to try some natural alternatives, such as valerian root, lavender essential oil, cannabis (indica), meditation, etc. Of those options, I find meditation to be the most effective for long term relief. This is because you can eventually gain total control over your thought patterns and how your brain operates on a daily basis. I cannot locate Deconamine SR capsules anywhere! Is it still possible to obtain this medication, and if so, where can I find it? It is the only medication that works for my post-nasal drip. ## Unfortunately, the original manufacturer sold the medication off to another company, who then cranked the price out of reach for almost everyone. I suppose they planned on ceasing production of the medicine, and needed a "lack of sales" to justify it. In our area, it went from $12/month to $88/month, which put it out of our reach. (4 of us were taking this medication, so it left us all in the lurch.) NOTHING has worked as well, so I am back to daily sore throats from drainage, my daughter has daily headaches that often go on into migraines. So many people relied on this combination pill th...

Can anyone tell me how to get off of Keppra? I am only on 250mg 2x daily and I want off. ## Your best bet is to talk to your doctor so you can stop under medical supervision. ## I agree, I stopped cold turkey after only two days and thought my topamax would be enough I paid the price and was lucky to be alive.... ## I started off at 500 mg 2 times a day, then down to 500 mg a day, and now down to 250 mg..I seem to have some panic atacks. My heart beats fast, i get nauseaus and I have to lie down. Is this a side effect of tapering down? ## I don't believe the slow reduction in Keppra is a problem but the topomax is. I have used a number of antiseizure drugs in my years. I am presently on Keppra and have it down to 750 mg a day which works for me. just for the record many people on hi...

I've been on 5, 30mg of Roxy's daily for about 4 to 5 years now, the problem, I am getting worried the time is going to come where I can't get them. I keep hearing stories about shortage and the price doubled, the last 2 months. These meds work for me and I am able to have a fairly normal life. I am not able to work any longer (Master Cosmetologist), which I hate, but after 2 failed back surgery's, I feel lucky, that I can at least enjoy my Grandchildren and my 3 Maltese Pups. Is there a medication out there that works like the Roxy's but a different med. I have tried morphine and MS Cotten and they didn't work on my pain like the Roxy's. I go back to my Doctor next week and would love to change meds. Any suggestions are for sure appreciated. ## I sure would ...

In the US I am prescribed Xifaxan 550mg made by Salix Pharmaceuticals twice daily to prevent hepatic encephalitis (very dangerous disorder caused by liver disease). The problem is this drug costs $1,800 USD per month, which I cannot afford. However, through reputable Canadian pharmacies carry Rifaximin 550 mg made by Lupin Limited of Idia for only $130 USD per month. My best research seems to indicate that these are the exact same drug but that Lupin licensed the US sales and marketing rights to Salix, thus the dramatic price differential. Can anyone confirm that Rifaximin 550 is the EXACT same drug as Xifaxan 550? My life depends upon finding an affordable and safe substitute. Thank you for any assistance regarding this matter. ## Hello, Mark! How are you? Yes, they are the same, Xifax...

It cost me 15 dollars a day to dose and 15 in gas to get there. Can someone please help. I can have all documents transferred from the clinic to a doctors office. also my concern about transferring to a private doctor is the milligrams given daily. My pharmacy has been giving me refills of the generic bupropion for my last two refills that are manufactured by CIPLA. The pill is oblong and has the number 13 on one side and what appears to be a capital I on the other side. I do not feel that this generic is doing much for me. I have researched this manufacture they are located in India. Approximately 45% of the medications that are sold in the United States are manufactured in foreign countries. I am going to call my pharmacy to see if they can get one of the generics that were previously dispensed to me. The buyers for drugs at pharmacies look to find lower priced drugs, which I understand. How can i make sure to get the generic from Mylan in the future? ## You should discuss it with your pharmacy, they can usually order the one from the other manufacturer in for you, but you may have to pay any price difference between it and the other generic they offer. I have permanent nerve damage in my right leg. The government seem hell bent on outlawing it. Could one of the drug companies help with cost. I'm on social security and can't afford to pay for it. My Dr. is happy to write a prescription. I take 30 mg.s daily. ## Since it is available as a generic, there are currently no programs offering assistance with Roxicodone. I have been trying to find a pharmacy in Bradenton that will fill my prescriptions for OxyContin ER 60mg one every 12 hours and Morphine Sulfate IR 15 mg three times daily for breakthrough pain. I just finished changing insurance policies, the agent along with myself noticed what the Pharmacist charged me, and what they charged them was completely different. Now realize that this is supposed to be a discount pharmacy located here In Bradenton. In addition, Mike the Pharmacist is great at all the cons but its all here in black and white. He has been turning in a different price to the insurance company and charging me a different price. So yes since March, I have overpaid him $1809.26. Scripts that were free cost me full price along with the others he doubled. Not sure, where to turn him...

Please help. Never took pills always injections so really need some feed back. ## According to the article linked below, "For men the usual dosage of Winstrol depot (Stanozolol) is 15-25mg per day for the tablets and 25-50mg per day with the injectable (differences based solely on price and quantity). Women will take Winstrol depot (Stanozolol) somewhere in the range of 50 mg daily, or two and a half to five 2mg tablets. Although female athletes usually find Winstrol depot (Stanozolol) very tolerable, the injectable is usually off limits. They risk androgenic buildup, as a regular 50 mg injection of Winstrol depot (Stanozolol) will provide much too high a dosage."
