I am about to kick opioids. How long do I wait before I can take a sub? I want to take a little bit of sub to get through the tough part of the withdrawal. I need to quit. I know its a lot to ask for this to be easy since I got myself into this and there should be consequences, but I am afraid if I can't make it easy I wont follow through... selfish I know. Any feedback please? ## Hello, Monica! How are you doing? Have you tried taking it, yet? You must be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone, otherwise it could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. Most doctor's recommend 3 to 4 days. So no, you can't start with even small amounts. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzin...

I am suffering from hip joint pain, lower leg pain, severe pain, even sometimes unable to walk few steps forward. Done all tests as doctor prescribed. MRI also, no problem seen. Friend suggest D3. Is it safe to take? Is there any side effects ? I'm also Hyperthyroidism patient but in control now. ## Supplementing with Vitamin D3 can be very beneficial in many aspects; but in my honest opinion, I don't think it will help with severe pain management. Depending on the dose of D3 you plan on taking, it would be pretty difficult to take the amount required to get any sort of undesirable side effects. I've personally taken 5,000 IU on a daily basis and felt like it helped me get through some rainy days. Have you considered any other alternatives to help treat the cause of your pai...

I'm trying to identify a pale yellow capsule-shaped pill with T 134. Was told it is oxycodone, assuming 7.5 since this what the person usually takes. Just doesn't seem like that's what they are. ## Hi Stephany, Is there any chance your pill says T 194 as opposed to T 134? I located a yellow capsule-shaped pill with T 194 on one side and blank on the other, that's reportedly identified as Oxycodone hydrochloride + Acetaminophen (10mg/325mg); made by a company called Camber Pharmaceuticals. For verification, the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 31722-0194. If your imprint is indeed T 134, I still believe it to be a product of Camber (if it was obtained legally through a licensed pharmacy), since they mark all of their generic Percocets in this manner. Hope this ...

I have chronic back pain from two fusions. I fell from 5 step up on a rainy deck and I had to have C3-4 fusion and L5-S1 And have been on pain meds for 11 years. This is the only way I can get through the day. ## Hello, Rita! How are you? There are 70mg and 75mg extended release capsules available and the next up in tablet form from the current dosage you are taking would be 100mg extended release tablets. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Another alternative would be to add a regular release breakthrough medication, so you can also ask your doctor about doing that. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I want to thank a lot of the people on this site, I've been reading a lot of messages and replies and it has helped me through a lot of hard times! But here I am after 3 years and I have no insurance because I have been able to work more now and now I am having trouble paying for my suboxone! I started at 24 mg. And now I'm at 8 mg. And getting ready to step down so I can get off finally and be normal! But with all the problems I have been having with paying for my suboxone I haven't been doing too good, going up and down and not having the support that I need through my program has made my life hectic! And the anxiety has been real hell does anybody know how I can get the suboxone cheaper? I'm afraid of going backwards instead of going forward! ## Hi, Have you told ...

round ## The marking on it is PN 25? I have done several searches for this, even just general online searches, rather than in prescription drug resources and the only thing I have found is a lot of spam. Do you have any other information on it? Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## Promethazine 25mg (brand: Sanofi Aventis) ## I found a blue round pill laying on my steps all the pill has on it is what looks like 2,5 on one side and a line running through the center of the other side. Can anyone help me I.d this

Hello all, I received a prescription to generic suboxone 93/5721 but I took my normal dosage 4 mg twice a day and it seemed very different like it was not suboxone. I felt very ill and sweat way more than I should have. what I am trying to say is that I think they are not suboxone. After taking a a half of one and going through the bad side effects I inspected the medication and it looks like the 93 does not match up with the 5721 and by that I mean on one side the 93 is from left to right if read, and on the other side the 5721 is off to an angle and completely vertical compared to the 93 side when I flip it over. If it is not suboxone I will have to take the steps necessary to let my doctor and the pharmacy know, so here I am. If you could help me figure this out I would greatly appre...

I just started Prozac 3 weeks ago. I started on 10mg for 10 days and then moved up to 20mg. I have had so many down days (like worse than I felt before I started taking it). I am taking mainly for OCD and anxiety. I feel like it’s never going to make me actually feel better, but I keep reading that I need to push through. Wish, I’m supposed to go up to 40mg when I feel like I’m ready. Not sure if I should just start it and get it over with, or wait to see if the 20 starts to work better….any advice? ## Usually, it takes about 4 to 5 weeks, at one steady dose, for a medication to reach its full level of efficacy in the body, so it may take awhile, as you gradually step up to the target dose. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizz...

I had successfully taken Jardiance for four years and then developed an inflamed bladder from it. I have been off the drug nearly 10 days now and the symptoms have mostly gone away but not completely. My doctor does believe they will go away and I will not take that drug again. I had no UTI, no yeast infection and no other kind of infection. Unfortunately the next step is probably insulin. However, the bladder issue was so terribly uncomfortable I’m just glad it’s over. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? I am so sorry that you went through such misery. The FDA does warn that it can cause bladder issues, such as pain, increase urination, and very light colored urine, along with nausea, dizziness, hypoglycemia, and dehydration. Have you had any further improvement, yet? What other ...

Sir, i've been a patient of diabetes for 3 years and use insulin three times during the day. Now i want to stop the insulin and control sugar levels through other means. Please advise. I am 27 years old. ## It is much safer, according to NIH reports, to start the other means first, such as diet and exercise, then drop the medication later, if your doctor approves. The typical side effects of insulin are listed as possibly including administration site reaction, headache, diarrhea, and hypoglycemia. Dietary changes to lower your sugar intake as much as possible is usually the first step. What types of foods do you eat? How much do you eat?

Have reduced Depakote, as it gave me painful sensation of numbness and tingling, still have this 8days after not having any. Other reason for not wishing to continue this regime was severe fatigue, used to run regularly, could only manage a few yards, every step was an effort. Also No motivation, strange feelings of not being myself, irritability, which was horrid as I am normally very gentle ,kind person, do not ever want to go through this withdrawal again felt horrid for weeks, Practiced EFT and Yoga ,also mindfulness to ease chemical symptoms, heard online, that this was once used as an industrial solvent. Psychiatrists, give too high a dose of reducing at 250mg. Research suggests that you must only reduce 10% a month, especially if you have been on drug for more thaN A FEW MONTHS,Ho...

Hi, I've been on 30mg of oxycodone a day_-20 mg on waking and 2 sep. doses 5 mg through day. I have a severe neuropathic/nerve pain and an upregulated central nervous system which includes akathisia. The oxycodone had been a life saver. It also stopped the terrible depression and terror I had been feeling since a bad medication reaction brought on this whole syndrome. One more 5 mg a day would have been really needed, but at least I had started to feel I could survive and life was starting to improve. I was really staring to enjoy living again much of the time. Long story, govt. steps in, no more oxycodone. Saw lovely pain specialist, and he's put me on oxycontin 30 mg morning, 15 mg night. This was 6 days ago. Each time I've taken oxycontin, instead of the unagitating, untw...

I have been taking 80mg of baclofen a day for the past month now. I started it October 2nd 2013-November 4th 2013. I have now been going through withdrawals from the medication for 5 days now and was curious if it will be over with very soon? I ask this because i haven't been on it long but am not sure how long this withdrawal feeling will last. I am feeling the mental withdrawal and the muscle issues at this point now. Can someone please help me out with when I will or should be getting back to normal mentally and physically? ## Hello, Steph! How are you feeling? It's difficult to say, since everyone is different. That was a pretty high dosage, so what you're experiencing are most likely rebound effects from stopping it abruptly, this isn't a medication known to cause w...

I have suffered from chronic pancreatitis for the last 20 years. Unfortunately the state stepped in and will not allow my doctor to write my medication for my Dilaudid any longer and I have not been able to find another doctor who will continue to write my prescription for dilaudid. I have never abused my pain medication and it is becoming quite frustrating and depressing that I cannot find a doctor to continue my treatment. it has been the only thing to keep me out of the hospital for the last 6 years. Up until six years ago I was in the hospital every two to three weeks for a period of about 3 years when I was at my worst. I had zero quality of life. Through this treatment I have managed to stay out of the hospital and maintain some quality of life. I do not wish to go back to living ...

I feel betrayed that I didn't research this medication as a healthcare professional before I took this med. I have GAD and ADD. From what I've read this is going to be a miserable "detox". As a nurse I would call it that. I can be a few hours late and have symptoms; dizzy, electric feelings in my head, muddy thoughts. I have 4 children and work full-time, I hate thinking this medication because of "discontinuation symptoms" has so much control over my life. The FDA should def step up and put more warning labels on this matter. ## I am very sorry about what you're going through, I know that stopping these types of medications can be very difficult. However, it is all of these types of medications, not just Pristiq, these problems occur with anything that effec...

I have been taking Lovenox 40mg through my pregnancy and am now 10 months postpartum. I ran out about 4 days ago, and am out of refills. I called my doctor, have left several messages with no response. The pharmacy has even tried, with no success. I did make an appointment, but it is not for another week. I am nervous. Any suggestions? ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? Have you heard from your doctor, yet? If not, I would suggest going to your nearest ER or urgent care facility. They should be able to help you.
