My grandmother used the "orginal" Bengay when I was a kid, for head colds, chest colds and it ALWAYS worked.. Where can I find the ORGINAL BENGAT? ## I really have no answer for you, I wasn't even aware that the formula had changed over the years. The product is manufactured by Johnson&Johnson and you could call them to ask, the number is 800-223-0183 Are you sure it was Bengay she used and not something else?

My mom was recently (two weeks ago) put on Jakafi, 10 mg twice daily. Her red blood cells went from 10.5 to 9.9...something like that. I am concerned it's the jakafi as i know that was something we were told to possibly expect. Just wondering if anyone has been on this long term (from the study) or even short term and how they are feeling? ## My dad went on the drug December 20,2011. All levels are dropping, but he feels so much better. Eating great, less night sweats and more energy. Transfusions have increased and the cost per month is outrageous. ## Yes, these types of side effects are listed as being very common when using this medication, which contains Ruxolitinib as the active ingredient. Some other side effects may include dizziness, hematoma, weight gain and herpes zoster. ...

Momentum Magnesium Salicylate

Magnesium salicylate is a common analgesic and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat mild to moderate muscular pain. It is also used to treat headaches, general back pain, and certain joint pains like arthritis. It is found in a variety of over-the-counter (OTC) medications, most notably the brand of such medication called "Doan's Pills," as an anti-inflammatory, primarily for back-pain relief. Magnesium salicylate can be an effective OTC alternative to prescription NSAID...

Mometasone Drug Index

Mometasone, also known as mometasone furoate, is a steroid medication used to treat certain skin conditions, hay fever, and asthma.[5][6][7] Specifically it is used to prevent rather than treat asthma attacks.[5] It can be applied to the skin, inhaled, or used in the nose.[5][6][7] Mometasone furoate, not mometasone, is used in medical products.[8] Common side effect...

I had one pill of IC Propoxy-N/APAP 100-650 TAB TEV (It's a bright pink pill) by a mistake. I was confused that was the medicine I got for my ear infection. But when I was having a second time, I realized it was the one that I got after DNC surgery. The thing is I am nursing right now, I am so concerned if the drug would have any effect on my baby.

Does ativan and methadone course bad mood swings she's gone nuts latly ## Hello, Bob! How are you? Yes, it could be due to either one, though the most likely culprit would be the Ativan, perhaps the combination of both, or it may be unrelated and do to hormones. If it's mainly irritability, then the Ativan or her hormones should be considered, because the Methadone will usually act as a downer and cause depression. How old is she? Both of these medications also carry the risk of being habit forming.

My mother is almost crippled and is having a hard hard time finding a doctor in kentucky to take her. She has a mri that shows every disc in her back either gone or shattered and cant walk, yet cannot seem to find a doctor in a pain clinic who will take her without a docs referral. The ones here only want to write her hyrdrocodone which she had for two years and give her back shots that she had years ago only making it worse... she refuses the shots and those meds do nothing for her at all by now. Was willing to travel to virginia or west virginia or any other state that may take her since it seemed ky has closed its doors on ppl who actually need a strong pain med. They wonder why street drugs are at an all time high... its bc they cut off ppl needing it to not suffer everyday in torme...

I was taking Mometasone for about 3 weeks for a sinus infection. I stopped about 6 weeks ago. Now I am experiencing joint pain and soreness, specifically on my wrists and hands. My back has also been feeling more sore than usual. Does anybody think it is possible that this is a result of the Mometasone? ## Hello, Alex! How are you? If you stopped taking it 6 weeks ago, then no, it isn't likely to be from the Mometasone, though it is a steroid class medication, most side effects typically wear off within a week or so of stopping it. Are you on any other medications? Did you take an antibiotic for the infection? ## I am not on any other medication. I was on an antibiotic ( I think it was Ampicillin ) for the sinus infection at the same time as I was given Mometosone to use.

Can my insurance abruptly only pay for 8 mg of my medicine when the doc has prescribed me 16 mg which is two 8 mg a day since I started the pregnancy I'm 22 days away from my due date my doctor told me its dangerous to taper this far along and I've been responding so well to treatment.I have to pay 175 every two weeks out of pocket for the visits and insurance has been taking care of the meds... ? ## Hello, Mommyof3! How are you? There is actually nothing that decrees that your insurance has to cover it, at all. However, since you are pregnant, you might be able to get an exception, so you should speak to your doctor about it, there is paperwork they can submit to make the request. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effec...

My mom went to the emergency room and we think they gave her Dilaudid instead of tylenol for pain which was not in anyway severe or the reason she was there. After that she was totally knocked out and now 2 1/2 days later is in a semi comatose state. Could this be the result of being given that drug mistakenly? ## If you look on the paperwork from your E.R. room visit you’ll be able too see exactly what they did from the diagnostic to determine what was wrong with your mother to what type of medications they gave her while she was there and what they sent home with her for a prescription.. usually all doctors are very very tedious about what they prescribe elderly people and what is age-appropriate also with the opioid epidemic that is going on the crisis with people becoming addi...

My mom's 88 yrs. She has a pacemaker, AFIB, CHF, History of TIA's, and both her siblings had strokes. She has to have a bronchoscopy so they want her blood thicker. She's been on coumadin since 2009. Her cardiologist called her 'low-risk', and told her to stop coumadin 5 days prior to procedure, but my sister and I think lovenox is more appropriate? I don't get how they can say she's low stoke risk. Stroke is our biggest fear. ## Have you discussed your concerns with her and her doctor? His opinion of her being at low-risk is based on her current health and medical history, but by all means if you disagree you should say so. It may also be safer for her to taper for awhile before the procedure, rather than just stop abruptly.

I took effexor one year ago, started with 37.5 and moved up to 75. It saved my family, and my marriage. I Took it for 6 months and then moved back down to 37.5 then quit cold turkey. Yes, you feel weird (zaps) for a week but it is NOTHING compared to depression or anxiety. I think people are forgetting how they felt when they went on hte stuff. Just pick a week that is non-eventful when you finally go off of it.. It is NOT a big deal when you consider how depression and anxiety can harm your family and the thought patterns of a young child. If I was single, I would not go on a drug...but now that I have children, my job is to show them how to live and be positive, not how to swim in a cycle of depression. For mothers considering this, do a bit of research on the brain patterns of childr...

My mom is suffering from high blood pressure. She is taking Tazloc 40 each morning once daily. Her pressure is now 95/160. What should I do now? Should she take one and a half Tazloc 40 daily or should she continue taking only one Tazloc 40 daily? ## Hello, Sujon! How is your mother doing? Are these numbers before, or after she takes her medication? According to the NIH, that can make a difference in her readings. Is she also being sure to keep her diet as long in salt as possible and low in fat? Is she getting plenty of proper exercise? The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
