If you're not eating much, your metabolism can also put your body into "starvation mode" and begin to store and hold onto fats or what little bit you are eating, as an act of survival. If you really want to rev up your metabolism a bit more, I'd suggest eating smaller meals every 2-3 hours as a way of encouraging your body to keep burning food as fuel and not storing it. I have just started yesterday on 15mg, I thought it would curb my appetite, but I haven't noticed anything. Also, I still slept like a baby, which was great, but it makes me wonder is this really going to work. I am thinking about calling my doctor and see if she will up the dose for me. I am thinking that would help. Anyone experience this? ## Well, only taking it for one day, so far, isn't really enough time for you to know if this medication and dosage is going to work for you. You do need to give it a little more time. Most medications do not reach their full effectiveness in such a short amount of time, they have to be taken regularly and build up in the body, before they really start to work. I just started taking phentermine 3 days ago, and so far am feeling great. I have some of the side effects, a little anxiety and headaches, but that could be from cutting the coffee out cold turkey. Definitely have a dry mouth, but so far taking the prozac and phentermine together aren't causing anything ugly. Anyone else taking prozac with phentermine? I read online that it is known as a cocktail called phen-pro, and can increase how well phentermine works. I'm currently taking Fentermina (phentermine from mexico) 30mg. I started on half a tablet a day and I'm about 20-30 pounds over my normal weight I'd like to be at. I was just wondering if taking 15mg a day will still have an affect rather than the whole pill. I've seen some appetite suppression but I do only have a pack of 30 pills and I am trying to make it last two months. I am trying to figure out what diet pill I was prescribed in TJ, Mexico. It was a clear purple capsule with white beads inside and I believe it was unlabeled on the outside, but if there were a label it would be small with white lettering. I'm taking phentermine and took a UA. The results showed a false positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. The person administering the tests tells me that the phentermine will explain the amphetamine but not for methamphetamine.
