I have been on a prescription drug (NORVASC) Amlodipine and Moduretic for the management of my Hypertension for many years now. I am looking forward to a significant reduction in my BP situation but this is yet to come. I have the opinion that the right drug has not been prescribed for me. I am over sixty years old. Please help. ## Hello, Dubala! How are you? What are you current levels? It is possible that you've just not found the right medication or combination of medications to properly do the job for you. However, on top of the medications, are you also watching your diet to keep your sodium/salt low? That is also very important to lowering your blood pressure, so is lots of proper exercise.

Never start with a full tab. Break it up into eighth strips. Take one and wait thirty to sixty minutes before taking the other. With this drug more is bad. If you start using this method for the first eight hours after already bring in withdraws you will be gine. If not get ready to feel bad for a while

IF I ONLY USED TWO 50 MCG FENTANYL PATCHES, REMOVED THEN WITH SIXTY HOURS, HOW LONG WILL IT BE IN MY SYSTEM? ## Hello, Olivia! How are you? Fentanyl is a very strong opiate that can also be habit forming, it's over 80 times stronger than Morphine, so it's possible to experience withdrawals even after just using it for a very short time. The half-life for Fentanyl is approximately 20 to 27 hours, that's the amount of time it will take to reach 50% in your body and full elimination takes 5 to 6 half-lives, so that would be 100 to 162 hours (4.17 to 6.75 days). With will most likely start around that 50% mark. Learn more Fentanyl details here. Having only used it for a short period of time, they shouldn't be severe, but you may still experience chills, fever, nausea, dizzin...

want to know the side effects of Nifedipine Bp and also the best Bp drug as well as the best solution for Arthritis for a sixty year old. ## Nifedipine is a Calcium Channel Blocker, used to help control HBP, though it is also used as an antianginal. You will find most blood pressure medications share the risk of pretty similar side effects, they can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. There is no one medication that is the best BP drug for everyone. Some work better for some people than they do for others. That is why there are so many on the market and, sometimes, several are even used in combination for better BP control. Another class used to help lower HBP are Ace Inhibitors, here's a link for information on those and the medications available: There are also Be...

Can I still buy Gray's ointment and if yes, where? ## Hello, LaDonna! How are you? No, it is no longer available. One of the ingredients was oil of turpentine, which the FDA kind of frowns on being used in skin ointments and such. An alternative that is available would be to just look for a drawing salve, they do similar things, but use ingredients that are approved and considered safe. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If diligent and lucky, you may find Gray's Ointment on eBay as have I. Medicine bottle and container collectors sometimes offer it. I have used Gray's Ointment for over sixty years to even somewhat phenomenal success. No other drawing salve, and I have tried, is efficacious. My mother was an old school RN when they did minor surgery and more. She use...

I live in Alabama and the tri county methadone clinic is where I go. I have medicade and it pays for my dose and gas to get to the clinic and im so appreciative because I live almost thirty miles away and if I didnt have medicade I would not be able to afford the gas to go sixty miles a day ## That is awesome! There are many people posting who can't afford it, or have trouble getting to their clinic. It's great of you to share your experience with others. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything I can help with?

Is Viagra dangerous for an older but fit 80 year old? ## Hello, Jim! How are you? No, not that I am aware of and a search turned up nothing. Elderly men may be more sensitive to it, so they may experience more side effects, which means the dose needs to be carefully adjusted. And it is contraindicated with some medical conditions and illnesses. However, you should always double check with your doctor to be sure. But did someone tell you that it was dangerous for you? ## Viagra is not suggested for males more than sixty-five years.

I usually get sixty 5mg hydrocodone a month. Well this month when I went in I had a UTI so needed an antibiotic. My Dr messed up and gave me the amount of 30, that she was supposed to give of the antibiotic as my hydrocodone amount and then gave me 60 antibiotics instead of 60 hydrocodone. Well, I got my medications filled and my pharmacist tells me that she gave me 60 Bactrim and thought that was strange and asked me if I knew why and all I knew was I had a bad UTI. It still didn't make sense to her that I was given that many. Well, I got home and realized the mistake. I called my Dr office and they saw the mistake and I have to go back and get the other part of my pain medicine prescription. OK, I always fill ALL my medicine at the SAME pharmacy and do NOT like to go get one med s...

I have been on Clopitorva 20 + Telma 40 for five months. During this time I have seen fat around my tummy that has increased in spite of exercises; even my hands and legs are becoming fat. Sixty five and just got the mandatory Medicare but also have a PPO since March. My previous plan, an HMO would only provide me with 40 Vicodin a month for my daily back pain which includes scoliosis, spurs, two very degenerated discs, annular tear, sciatica and some other issues if can't even remember. I've had the epidural several times with minor relief, PT, neurontin, tramadol (does zip). After the big conspiracy by the FDA was enacted in Nov, I was cut off with no referral. I know that some people abuse their pain meds, but 40 a month? Come on. They even cut my friend off that has severe MS all because of this FDA thing. I was still hurting rationing 40 pills a month. My primary told me that Americans are too dependent on pain meds. She said that in her country of Paraguay p...

I am sixty-one years old, I have been using Epitrel since December 16, 2012 - every night. I do see a slight difference in my skin - some discoloration is fading and some of the lines around my mouth are not as deep. I'm crushed! Is the over fifty research correct?
