From what I've read, it is an antihistamine that is sometimes used for premedication as a sedative. However, it supposedly doesn't share the same abuse, dependence, addiction, and toxicity potential of other medications that are used for the same range of therapeutic reasons. I have a bottle of HYDGROXYZ PAM 25MG and the pharmacist has written Take 1 capsule every 6 hours as needed for pain. I got this from a PA a week after having surgery on my shoulder. it is a little smaller than an asprin, it is round & white, on the front of the pill, it has the number 114 then a straight line under the number, & the back of the pill is blank. ## This tablet contains 30mgs of Oxycodone, the active ingredient in Roxicodone, which is a narcotic pain reliever. I have been taking ms-contin for many years and found a bottle that has small white pills for pain they are about a 1/4 inch in diameter with a 276 on one side and what looks like an I6. on the other but it may be an IG. small, orange,round ## I believe this is a generic of hydroxyzine/hydrochloride 10mg. It is generic for an antihistamine called Vistaril. It is used for itching, hives, nausea and other allergic reactions. Also, it is often used IV along with things like demerol or morphine as these narcotics tend to make some people itch and or get sick to their stomach. Vistaril can knock you out like a light! It made me sleep for twenty three straight hours when I was in the hospital with a lupus flare up and they gave it to me.

well i resently cutt off a few fingers so i got the hydrocodon for pain when i take 2 of them and 1 hydroxyzine pam 50 mg cap too sooth my stomach.i get feeling really sick to my stomach. but when i take 1 oxycodone 10-325 and 1 hydroxyzine pam50 mg cap i feel fine why is that? ## They are two different opiates, one contains Hydrocodone and the other Oxycodone and each may effect you differently. I kept testing positive for benzodiazepines in treatment but the only medicine I tooke was 25 mg of Hydroxyzine HCL for itching? ## yes it does show up like that i failed test for same reason but i take 50mg daily. a secondary test though will show that your clear, request it to be done its a more indepth test and proves that hydroxyzine as sedative effects like benzos and thats why your getting that reading as they can both be prescribed for anxiety as well as itching ## I am testing positive for cocaine and benzoylecogine on a drug test...I have taken 2 strand tests. 2 weeks apart and both are showing high levels I take atarax which is a known narcotic and amoxicillin and lexapro... could this be why I am failing... ## How long does it take for hydroxyzine to get out of your system?

I recently had sinus congestion. I took OTC Mucinex. When I took my urine test it showed up POSITIVE for amphetamines. Is this possible? ## I've done a lot of things but I have never ever ever taken amphetamines. That said, my doctor gave me a urine test that I take every three months because I'm on narcotics for the military and it comes up positive for amphetamines. All I can think of is she gave me hydroxyzine HCL.
