I have a prickly, burning, deep itching on my upper arms that started about 1 month after a deep sunburn. If I touch it, the itching becomes relentless and VERY uncomfortable. I take gabapentin (Gralise) max dose daily for nerve pain. I get breakthrough pain at night. I have taken A muscle relaxer and hydroxyzine and seems to help some with the nerve pain.
