I was prescribed Dilaudid 2mg every 6 hours as needed for pain after being in the hospital for 5 days getting it through an IV every 2 hours as needed.... The pills I was prescribed were 4mg and I cut them in half.... Am I at serious risk if I take a whole pill for severe pain??? I am embarassed to ask my doctor in fear that he will think I am an addict trying to get a cheap high. This is not the case however. I actually am not a fan of taking pills at all, not even tylenol. The pain is almost unbearable. What do I do??? ## 4mgs is not a dangerous dose, though it is really strong and if you aren't used to taking medications, it will probably hit you very hard and you'll experience more of the side effects. Since it is a potent narcotic, they can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizz...

Where can I fill a prescription hydromorphone 2mg in the Dallas area? #120 ## Hello, Dot! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies according to what medications they carry that I can refer to for you. The only way to find out is by actually going to the pharmacies, with the prescription in hand. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Has it been out of stock?

Hi I'm Honey and I'm new here, I was taking 10mg of oxycodon my doc changed it and now taking Hydromorphone 2mg with a p on other side. This med is not working for me at all!! Also take morphine 30mg.do you think my doc would change it back to oxy and maybe increase mg or give it 4 times a day instead of 3 times day? I'm in so much pain. Thx in advance ## Hello, Honey! How are you? It would require 3.75mgs per dose of Hydromorphone to equal each 10mgs of the Oxycodone that you were taking, which likely explains why the 2mg dosage isn't working for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, no one can spe...

Which is stronger 2mg of Hydromorphone Or 500mg of tylenol? ## Hello, Karen! How are you? The Hydromorphone is a potent narcotic that is only available via prescription, so it is the stronger of the two. I have been taking a low dose Hydromorphone 2mg 3 times daily for 2 years now due to chronic pain from injuries I sustained in an accident. I want to eventually get off this drug all together, because truthfully I am afraid of this narcotic. My question is this, is it possible to experience side affects now after 2 years being on it? Recently, in the last few weeks I have been experiencing things that didnt bother me before with this drug. I dont know if its the drug thats doing this. I have severe drowsiness that comes and goes throughout the day, to the point where I have to hang on to the walI, it feels like I am going to pass out. I have abdominal pain, i am feeling fatigue and muscle pain throughout my body, and loss of balance alot. Is it possible to have these occuring now after ...

Been on 12-8mg dilaudid for decades, tapering down to 120mg so far. Pain dr added 2mg SL Buprenorphine twice a day. Been using for 8 weeks. No problems at all. No withdrawal whatsoever. The added buprenorphine in combination with dilaudid works incredibly well for nerve pain. Am going to continue to taper dilaudid to a lower amount slowly. May or may not be on both for a long time. Will increase SL buprenorphine as I decrease dilaudid. Who knows, I may end up taking no dilaudid, but only if the nerve pain does not build up with a vengeance. Anyone else having the same benefit I have had taking both? ## Buprenorphine tends to block the effect of other opiates in most people that take it, so I don't think you will find many people that have had as good of an experience as you. However...

Is a small, thick, round pill with 2mg scored onto one side and a P over IR on the other side, a generic Dilaudid? ## You didn't specify what color your pill was, but based on the information provided, the closest match I'm finding is a description of a white oblong shaped pill imprinted with "P-XL 32mg"; which has been identified as Palladone 32 mg. Palladone is just another brand of Dilaudid (hydromorphone), but not a generic. Manufacturer: Purdue Pharma LP National Drug Code (NDC): 59011-0315 You can learn more about this drug on the page for Hydromorphone Details Does this sound like a possible match? ## A white round tablet one side has nothing but a line a cross it and on other has 54 and under it was I thank 406 or 426 is this a 8few mg ## A white round tablet one...

My boyfriend is taking 2mg generic for Dilaudid for a knee replacement. He had no problems in the hospital with the brand name drug, but is having horrible headaches since coming home and using the Generic. Does it make sense that the generic can cause this? ## Dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, & nausea are all listed as common side effects associated with Dilaudid (Hydromorphone), no matter whether it's generic or not. However it is likely the different inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) of the generic version we're probably what triggered the onset of those headaches. I'd also keep in mind that generic medications can contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient - compared to the amount found in brand names. For some people, these subtle dif...

I accidentally took 2mg hydromorphone that I had for migraines instead of my anxiety meds but it was 3 hours after I had one drink with dinner. I'm scared to sleep now? Help ## Hello, Channi! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? In the future, when in doubt, do not ever be afraid to call your doctor, poison control, or your nearest emergency services department to be sure. As to taking this, after drinking, the main reason you are warned not to combine them, as per the U.S. NIH, is due to the fact that it may worsen the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness, which may cause each drink to feel as if you had 2, and so on.

P on one side and a 2 on the other side a orange/peach color ## What this tablet actually contains is 2mgs of Hydromorphone, which is a narcotic opiate, but not the same as Morphine, though it is related. Learn more Hydromorphone details here. This is actually much more potent than Morphine and requires a much lower dose to achieve equivalent analgesia. Where did you find it?
