It is a derivative of morphine; to be specific, a hydrogenated ketone thereof, and comparatively, hydromorphone is to morphine as hydrocodone is to codeine and, therefore, a semi-synthetic ...

Hydromorphone 2 Mg
Using Hydromorphone 2 Mg. What should I look for and how to prevent terrible constipation with this medication. Thank you for your time. ## Hydromorphone is a narcotic, so along with the constipation, it may also cause dizziness, dry mouth and nausea. It really isn't good to mix other medications with it, without checking with your doctor. When I was on narcotic pain management, what I found that worked best to prevent the constipation and is completely natural were fiber supplements. Most people don't get enough in their diet, anyway and fiber is not known to cause reactions with many other medications. Are there any other questions? ## Take magnesium suppliments, when i broke my arm they gave my hydromorphone and i took magnesium to build bone density and stop constipation. ...

whats the difference between hydromorphone and hydromorphone rox ## What is the difference in opana and hydromorphine? My insurance will pay for the second one, but not the first. ## Opana is a brand name drug , it would be called oxymorphone, generically, the other is Diluadid and it come generic as, Hydromorphone, If you get oxymorphone, the generic name of Opana, the insurance company would pay for it, but it is not available generically I believe. ## Not sure why nurse said my zofran is a controlled substance. How are you? I'm sorry, but I have no information on the exact release rate of the ones you're taking. How are they working for your pain? Hydromorph Contin 6mg
I have been on Hydromorph Contin 6mg for 2yrs for spinal stenosis and disc problems and the doctor gradually has increased the dosage (I take 2 pills in the am and 2 in the pm). The problem is that I have a sensitivity to codeine and morphine and eventually I cannot take the meds anymore. Is there other painkillers I can take that are not derived from codeine or morphine? I have also been on fentnyl patches but am allergic to the glue used on the patch. ## Did the Fentanyl help? Was the problem with it just caused by the allergy to the glue? If so, there is another option, available, it also comes in the form of a lollipop called Actiq. Here's the link to more details on it, so you can decide if it's something you'd like to discuss with your doctor: ...

hydromorphone- to much?
My mom has been battling stage 3 Salivary glad cancer for 5 years. She is terminal. Lately there has been 2 seisures due to low potassium. She is on pain management of 53 mg/ml/hr of hydromorphone iv . Is this too much? ## Hello, Dwaycott! How is your mom doing? When it comes to pain relief, it is best to leave the dosing up to her doctors. I understand your concern, but there are many medical studies that have shown that higher doses of narcotics to make the people more comfortable in such situations don't hasten death. I am so very sorry that she is terminal, my dad is as well, so don't think I am taking this lightly…. but there is a point where their comfort has to become most important. Cancer pain is intractable when it hits the terminal stage, you can't even begi... ...

HYDROMORPHONE Shortage
I understand that the DEA wants to cut down on the illegals, but what about the people that have legitimate reasons for using Oxycodone. These people will have to go through withdrawl, and be in unbearable pain. I know that there is something that can be done for us that have serious lower back pain, and other issues. If this is the case have the DEA, pull the persons medical records and check their history. I moved from OHIO, to Florida due to my injuries, now I have to deal with this. Need HELP for the legitimate people who are suffering. I only take the 10mg, but it seems to work for now. Bring back the Hydromorphone 4mg that I was taking instead of Oxycodone ## This website has nothing to do with the manufacturing of medications, it is an information only website. There is currently... ...
