I took 7.25/325 of hydrocodone every 4-6 hrs for pain and after 9 yrs of treatment under a Doctor's care alone with spinal injections every 3 months for 9 yrs. At 45 yrs old going on 46 yrs old I will now have to get surgery it is looking like as things are much worse and only surgery can help me, but the Doctor wanted to wait as long as I could before going under the knife. My question is, if I was put on Morphine 15 what would I have to take that would even be close to what I was originally on (hydrocodone)? I mean I have been told Morphine won't help me at all and I will be in a lot of pain after surgery. ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? No, you should be fine, Morphine and Hydrocodone are equivalent on a 1 to 1 ratio, so 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone equals 7.5mgs of Morphine. The FDA w...

I'm on warfarin, so I can't take ibuprofen. My gout is extremely painful, is hydrocodone-acetaminophen good for gout? ## Hello, Chayong! How are you? You should take it, unless your doctor has specifically told you to do so, because Acetaminophen can increased the effect of the Warfarin, which could increase your risk of dangerous bleeding. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

By taking once a day for severe back pain - will you become addicted to them. ## Vicodin pills can come in various shapes and colors regardless of dosage (It depends on the manufacturer you are talking about). The most common look I have seen for this pill is probably white and oblong with a score line on one side. I don't know how many different manufacturers make Vicodin, but if you can provide the name of the one in question I can possibly look it up on their website and let you know the description. But in regards to addiction; I cannot tell you whether or not you will get addicted as I don't know anything about your medical history or current state of health, etc; (that is a question for your doctor), however my suggestion is to take them as long as you are prescribed for, ...

My doctor prescribed me Hydroco 7.5 500 mg. I also take Spironolact and Pantoprazole 40 mg. Hydroco seems too strong for me, so I cut it in half. I was wondering if that is o.k? I am diagnosed with Cirohsis of the liver and I have poor circulation on my legs, and they are very swollen, so I take Hydroco for pain. I also have anemia and an umbilical hernia. Oh and by the way I have an enlarged heart. ## Although I can't give you a definite answer, as long as the drug is not an extended release tablet, cutting it in half shouldn't hurt you. Always pay attention to how your body feels, and if you have any concerns it is best to double check with your prescribing physician. My pharm. switched me from hydrocone 10-650, to hydrocone 10-325 saying it had something to do with the FDA cutting back on the amount of aspirin I was getting. Is this true or just hogwash, Steve. ## Hello, Steve! How are you? It's actually Acetaminophen, not Aspirin, but yes, it is true. Last year, the FDA requested that the amount of Acetaminophen in all combination prescription medications be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs per dose. Many people think it is safe, since it's available over the counter and will take several tablets, at once, if they don't get pain relief with one, but what they don't realize is that it can cause fatal toxicity if too much is taken in any 24 hour period. Is there anything else I can help with?

my family doctor can not c me as a patient anymore due to so.e new law startin in Oct.. I need hydrocone/vicodine and xanex. I need ffhm due to many physical issues. ## Hello, Michelle! How are you? The new regulations don't prevent him from continuing on as your family doctor, it just prevents him from prescribing controlled substances for you. In order to have them prescribed, you'll need to see specialists and the type of specialists will depend on why you need them. For instance, if you're taking Xanax for anxiety, you'll need to see a psychiatrist, as well as a pain management specialist for the Vicodin. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability and constipation. Can anyone suggest a g...

is there a common ingredint. n codeine hydrocone tramadol ER meds something causes tormenting. pain on right side of head face. jaw( feel like toothache ) ear neck I can feel nerve throbbing I was taking pain med for cervical degeneration. which is disabling but they all cause this other suffering. help please ## Have you consulted your doctor to have this checked out? The reason I'm asking is because the erosion from GERD can sometimes cause this, since it exposes nerves that radiate to that area. Whenever mine acts up, I end up with pain that radiates to that same area on my right side, but after taking something to reduce the acid and let it heal for a few days, it usually stops. 15 mg hydrocone in red capsule with a crown marking csei ## Is that the entire marking? There is no 15mg Hydrocodone that's regularly available on the U.S. market. It is only available in the manufactured products in a maximum of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone coupled with various strengths of Acetaminophen. Learn more Vicodin details here. If it's a 15mg capsule, then it would have to have been specially ordered by a doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy and them, it wouldn't have a unique marking, it would just have whatever is on the capsules they use, if anything and it won't be listed in any databases because of that. Where was it found?

Is it really hydrocone 10- 325 generic lortab??? ## Lortab, Norco and Vicodin all have hydrocodone and tylenol in them So yes, hydrocodone and tylenol is generic for Lortab. ## Hello, Chic! How are you? What BL has posted is correct. However, if you're asking about the tablet with the N S1 marking, it is manufactured by Nostrum Laboratories and they list it as containing 1mg of Sucralfate, so it is not any type of opiate. The FDA classifies this as an anti-ulcer medication and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, backache, constipation and indigestion. I was on Hydrocone for my migraine/tension headaches for 3 years my dr decided to stop prescribing pain meds to her patients. Now I'm at a loss NJ Is really cracking down. My new GP referred me to a neorologist and I was thinking about asking him about Fiorcet not Hydrocone but how do I ask without sounding like a addict? ## Hello, Lola! How are you? Fioricet contains a barbiturate, not a narcotic. It contains Butalbital, Acetaminophen and Caffeine. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and nervousness. There should be no reason to worry about sounding like an addict. Just be honest about how bad they are and don't try to demand that he prescribed something. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm taking hydrocone 7.5-325 and amox-clav 875mg for abscessed tooth... Is it safe to do activities which raise your heart rate while taking this medicine and fighting off the infection? ## Hi Bridget! It's your choice. NO HARM done! ## @Bridget, This is just my own opinion, but unless you have already been diagnosed with a pre-existing heart condition, I wouldn't even think twice worrying about that. The momentary increase in heart rate that's associated with physical activity... even if you are not used to exercising regularly and keeping your heart rate in check, there's usually no harm in something like this/unless you were to inflict it upon yourself in some way, shape, or form. How long does your doctor have you on those medications for?

I have taken hydrocone/acetaminophen Tab 7.5 / 650 for several years for a back injury, I am 72 and it cant be fixed. They changed the law so now I get pink pill 7.5 / 325. My doctor assured me that I wouldn't tell the difference. Well I cant even tell I took one I take 3 a day. Something is not right. The one I was taking was M359. Would you please help. Thanks Max ## Hello, Caaseymax! How are you? Of course there's a difference and I don't know why your doctor wasn't upfront about it. The Acetaminophen augments the action of the narcotic, so a lower amount of Acetaminophen means it won't be as potent. You may want to ask your doctor about just taking some extra Acetaminophen with it, or perhaps switching to a different medication. This is a narcotic analgesic, so i...

My orthopedic surgeon prescribed hydrocone-acetominophen 7.5/325 after my knee replacement surgery a month ago. Since I am taking levothyroxine, I had a bad reaction to the surgery--I think it was the anesthesia--and couldn't hold any food down for two days. But now, I'm finding that I'm getting desensitized to the hydrocodone and the 3X a day that the doctor prescribed for it isn't enough, and I am in pain after a few hours, and the amount of time I am pain free gets less and less with every passing day. I have started taking the hydrocodone every six hours (4X daily) and even that is not enough to control the pain. What should I do? ## It would be best to inform your doctor, because you may need to try a different medication, or you may need to switch to the 10/325mg d...

which is the strongest pink hydrocone10mg or the blue 10mgs ? ## If they both contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone, then they are the same, the only difference may be in the amount of Acetaminophen in them, but I can't provide details on that from just the colors.
