what color, shape, taste and markings of hydrocodone? ## Which Hydrocodone are you asking about? There are several different dosages available, as both brand names and generics. The markings, colors and description will vary for each one. Is there are specific tablet that you are questioning the identification of? I was given these in a clinic in Vancouver B.C. They looked like es Vic.but no writing at all.just a line on one side nothing on the other.extremely hard 2 break in half,& they were light pink inside.terrible taste. ## Hi Ana, While it may be true that different manufacturers have quality control issues, I don't think there should be any reason to believe that they're counterfeit, if you were given these by a doctor/pharmacist at a clinic. Did they inform you that this was Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen or what is it that led you to assume it was? From an outside perspective, this could literally be anything if there are no markings to identify it by. However I've never ever heard of licensed pharmacies dispensing fake pills. I have used Tussionex Pennkineticsusp for years and never had any problems. Recently I got the generic version, took it once. I felt dizzy and nauseated and light headed all day. Will now go back to the regular version. I always thought that generic should be the same, but it is not. Taste different too. ## The taste is really irrelevant, that just depends on what flavoring agents the manufacturer uses and it has no bearing on the efficacy of the medication. However, no generics don't have to be 100% exactly the same as the name brands. Under the laws of the U.S. FDA, they are allowed to differ, in the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20%. I recently ran out of my blue watsons and got a cpl from a friend. They did NOTHING for me except dry my sinuses and left an awful taste in my mouth. Adventually i did get alittle nauseated but no itching or pain relief. I have gotten mine refilled since and tried to compare the two right dwn to getting a ruler out and tring to measure them. I cant difenively find a difference in them, so idk how to tell the difference from the fake or real ones until i were to take it.
