My husband went to the doctor on the 26th of nov. and got his refill for hydrocodone. being that Oct. has 31 days in that month, what date by law is the first earliest day he can refill them. This is falling on Thanksgiving and he can not be driving or riding in a car without his meds. ## It depends on what date in Oct he had the last rx filled. It also depends on what pharmacy you use and your insurance company. Usually, if he has not tried to get another rx filled early in recent months, he should be able to get it filled within one of two days of him running out. Some of the chain pharmacies have policies on the max number of tablets he can have left and get a refill. ## The information provided by BL is correct, most pharmacies and insurance companies will allow a refill within a da...

Going to pain management for my back. The Doctor wrote a prescription for 3 times daily or prn, so when can I ask for a refill? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? How many tablets was it written for? That would help determine the numbers of days, until it can be refilled. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I am sorry I should have been more accurate. The scrip was written as follows: Hydrocodone acetaminophen 7.5-325 take 1 tablet by mouth 3 times a day as needed. The count is 90. Filled3-5-2015. Thank you for replying. Hope this helps me find an answer. ## Mary C, 1 Tablet 3 times a day for 90 tablets is a 30 days supply ...

Is it really norco? I just got my refill today and they are not working as well as my previous prescription. ## Hi Yaya, My research from the manufacturer depicts a white oval tablet marked with 2172 to be identified as a generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg pill. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 0591-2172 and is reportedly a product of Actavis Pharmaceuticals that from what I could gather, seems like a newer generic tablet since information about it is relatively sparse on the internet. Hope this helps! ## I have the exact same problem ! The ones with the 2172 do not work the same as the 3604 did . How is this even possible ? Or is it. Are they exactly the same ?

Hello, I take lorcet 10/325 every month my General physician just changed my script to allow me to take every 4-6 hours as needed with the quantity of 150 pills for chronic pain on 9/9/16 and I was wondering when i could get them filled if I took 6 a day on my really bad days where I would wake up at night and could not fall back to sleep without taking that 6th one from time to time. This is the first time it was filled this way and he also wrote me a second one to have filled this month. I figured this would be ok but now realize I might come up a couple days short. So what would be the earliest I could get them filled? Thank you for your time ## Hi, most pharmacies will fill your script up to 3 days early from the date your last script was filled. For example if you filled last month...

Seriously? Is Everyone just hoping their little white pills are some kind of hydrocodone! Wow. Wonder why 2015 is the year the FDA decided that all C2 RX would have to be written, signed off by a DR. and carried into the pharmacy. The good old fax, phone call came to a screaming halt, due to the general public wanting to catch a buzz. Pissed off the rest of us who really need pain meds to function on a day to day basis. Try cannabis or grab a beer. Get off my RX. Refills. I don't take your food do I? Get help. ## Do you even know why so many people are asking if this is hydrocodone? No? Me either, but if they're going through what I'm going through right now, then they may be freaking out cause they just found this pill in their teenagers room, or they got their meds mixed u...

I seem to have a very smart Doctor. He prescribed Norco 10-325 for post surgical pain. The first bottle gave me nothing but relief. The refill, at a different pharmacy, caused unbelievable itching all over and down my throat. I called and told him he had me look up the mfgr on the bottle. It was Qua. He said my problem is the dye used in the second batch. He re prescribed to the original pharmacy and got the Norco manufactured by Watson. If you are taking an opiate that is making you itch, have your doctor re prescribe from a pharmacy that uses the pill made by a different mfgr. You are probably not allergic to opiates or Codiene after all. ## Hello, Charliemike! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you experienced. However, I would like to clarify that while this may be ...

My prescription has always had the label, Watson on one side the other 3202 white oval tablet. This month my refill is different, white oval tablet with #2172 on one side. They told me they're from a different manufacturer, and they seem to not help as much. Is this a weaker brand, was told possibly a (placebo) can you advise me ? Thank you. ## Hello, David! How are you? Has there been any change? It is not a placebo, but there have been many complaints about it lacking efficacy. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You may need to consult your doctor about taking an alternative medication, for awhile, until you can find a ...

I recently went to CVS and forgot that they use some sort of generic for lortab called, well, I call it "Mallencrock (crock-o-crap). I have a refill. Can I go in and ask that they not make me pay for something I can't stand and doesn't work for me, and that I would like to have Lortab/Watson brand? ## There have been many complaints about the products manufactured by Mallinckrodt. Yes, you can ask them ahead of time if they have a different one in stock to fill your prescription, though it may be more expensive. If they don't, or won't order it in for you, you could always see about transferring your prescription elsewhere. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I actully did what you said and had it transferred to Walgreens and they happily gave me what I wanted...

I have diabetic neuropathy and uncontrolled sugar levels. I have been on norco for about four years and now my doctor said she has cut my prescription in half and sometimes won't refill it at all because she said it is dangerous if your sugars are out of control. Is this true and why has it never been mentioned before? ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? Some of its typical side effects may mask the symptoms of low blood sugar. For example, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and drowsiness… which could also be symptoms of hypoglycemia. Thus, if someone thinks their only experiencing them due to the opiate and doesn't check their blood sugar levels, they could drop low and may end up in a coma. What do you take for your diabetes? What k...

Has anyone filled their prescription for blue Watson 10/500 pills from any pharmacies over the phone? I got 90 that look like my CVS refill, but have the effect of a vitamin. Ripped off again. ## I think I was similarly scammed. The color was greenish, not blue like the regular Watson 10/500 and tasted salty. I had been called 20 times and finally succumbed. Is this your experience too. The phone number was a 305 exchange ## I purchased Norcos over the phone. Came in a vacuumed plastic bag. They were blue with WATSON 540 printed on them. The looked real but when you take them it is like you are on valium, you don't get pain relief. Purchased from a 321 exchange. Anyone else with the same experience? ## I have also received fake pills from a 321 exchange. They are not real and will n...

IT DOSN'T TAKE THA PAIN OFF ALL THE WAY BUT AAI CAN MANAGE TO WALK AND SLEEP SOME OF THE PAIN. ## Unfortunately, there isn't much to be done. Is it like the yellow pill with the cursive V on it (10/325)? That's what I use to get but today I got this. What's the difference? ## They have just been manufactured by different companies, which is common with generics. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How are you doing taking them? Have you experienced anything unusual? ## CVS just refilled my hydrocodone WITH CARACO/SUN PH. I noticed my insurance didn’t pay a penney as they use to pay a few dollars on my prescription when I had mfr..Mallinckrodt. All about big profits for CVS. Now I feel sick.

I have a prescription for Hydrocodone 10/325 written by my Michigan Pain Clinic Physician and I am on a 7 day vacation in Florida. I have the paper prescription with me to be filled in Florida. Am I going to be able to get that filled. ## I don't know if this is still the case, but I found an older document from 2007 on Floridahealth.gov, stating that "a patient visiting Florida (who is a non-resident) under his/her out of state doctor's care for a chronic condition CAN have his/her out of state doctor either call in or otherwise legally transmit a prescription to be filled by a Florida licensed pharmacist for that condition." My pain specialist prescribes Hydrocodone 7.5/325, 90 pills per month. He gives me scripts that are post dated, 3 months at a time. My refill date is the 1st of every month. My question is this... the script is a 30 day supply and since July has 31 days in it, can I get them refilled on July 31st instead of waiting until August 1st? Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any help to my question.... ## Hello, Clatono! How are you? Yes, you should be able to get it filled on the 31st. Ultimately, it's up to your pharmacy, but there shouldn't be any problem. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The last 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. How is the new dosage handling your pain and discomfort?

I've been taking hydrocodone since December of 2012. After my unsuccessful shoulder surgery and then finding out that I have severe arthritis in both hips. My insurance paid for the first 12 prescriptions, since then I've paid for them out of my own pocket, which was only around $14 a month. Yesterday I went to Walgreens to get a refill and the clerk said they would be 62.85! I thought there must be some mistake. So I headed to Walmart, they had gone up to 68.01! Then I headed to a small town pharmacy and they charged me $25. I was relieved, but, very confused! Does anyone know why there has been such a steep price increase on hydrocodone? I can't find anything about on the net! ## Hello! Very sorry for the sudden price change. However no, I am not aware of any particular re...

I was given a different brand of hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325 by MFG AMNEAL, instead of my regular brand watson 10-325 I was told that my pharmacy wouldnt carry watson brand after the fact of giving me the new generic brand. Even though the label on my new brand states oval white tab.watson 853 not letting me prior of refilling my prescription. And I need to know if both brands are equally the same? I read most of people complain about this new MFG AMNEAL generic brand. I want the facts and truth about brands being the same. When i asked one of the pharmacist, she said, "watson my regular brand is the same as my new brand". But i would like an outsider professional opinion who doesnt work for my pharmacy. ## No not the same! Same thing happened to me, so I did my research! F...

I work construction. have had 3 back treatments to no luck. the hydrocodone 10/325 helped me the best. I need a doctor close or a free clinic would be nice. {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Michael! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. However, a general practice doctor or clinic can no longer prescribe this medication. If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. This medication was changed to schedule two at the beginning of October, so you can also no longer have refills on it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What is your general location? You forgot to mention it an...
