I suffer from brittle bone, DJD, colitis, only to mention a few. I was taking Hydrocodone 10/325 every 4 hours for approximately 16 years. I noticed over the past few years my pain was no longer controlled and I was taking the med to only not have withdraw symptoms and was tired of the cycle. It took a lot but I admitted my problem to my Doctor and he started me on Hyslinga ER 20mg every 12 hours. I have to say this drug is wonderful for me except the stomach pain. I have been on it for almost 6 weeks and am almost pain free. I haven't taken the hydro almost at all. I have taken care of the constipation and dry mouth on my own but this tummy pain is horrible and I don't know what to do to help this pain. I don't want to go back to the hydrocodone. I have been taking Percoset and Norco for about 18 months, with no real side effects. Six days ago, my doctor switched me to Oxycontin 20mg twice a day. For the past 3 days, my ankles and feet have been rather swollen. Can Oxycontin cause this. I thought Percoset and Oxycontin were the same thing, except that Percoset is immediate release and Oxycontin is sustained release.
