For some 6-8+ years now, i have been taking 7.5/325 Hydrocodone (HYDROCO/APAP); generic name Qualitest. The pill is colored (pinkish/orange) with a "v" inscribed on one side; not 100% sure of Manufacturer; possibly NORCO or PAR P.; Qualitest has ALWAYS been the most reliable version of Vicodin/Hydrocodone. At any rate, much to my surprise several months ago, i had a script filled but when i opened vial, it was filled with WHITE (Watson) tablets; i was told that Qualitest was no longer available. The next morning (basically every morning) i awakened with a significant amount of pain and got myself up to take my normal/regular dose but after more than enough time for what would have relieved the pain; i felt NO relief whatsoever; after a second pill, i started to feel nauseous and...

How are you doing? Sorry about the problems that you're having. No, there is no such site and it wouldn't really help, if there was, because which one works can differ from person to person. For instance, I had great results with ones manufactured by Mallinckrodt. And even if you knew more about the other manufacturers, while y...

I have taken hydrocodone 10 mg for several years, and sometimes get jittery..sort of like speedy..and uncomfortable. I noticed the other day that I have two different sizes of pills (from a different pharmacy last month). Is it possible that one manufacturer has an ingredient different from another? My doctor and I have been trying to identify why I get jittery for over a year..and I think it has to do with manufacturers. ## There can be differences between generic medications, since under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients. They also don't have to measure against each other, thus it is possible that one of them is higher or lower in the amount of Hydrocodone, which could...

I was taking the Mallinckrodt hydrocodone-acetaminaphen 10-325. They were doing the job. My pharmacy ran out and was using Caraco hydrocodone-acetaminaphen 10-325. They were next to worthless for relief. What's the deal do you think? ## Hi Perry, Usually when you switch to another manufacturer's version of the same drug, the primary differences can be found in the list of "inactive" ingredients (which I personally don't believe are actually "inactive" as they say). To my understanding the various binders/fillers may account for how well you metabolize/absorb each active ingredient. Mallinckrodt's M367 (10/325) tablets reportedly contain the following set of inactive ingredients: crospovidone + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + povidone + c...

What is the opinion of the best manufacturer of hydrocodone acetaminophen 5-325. Some seem to work better than others. ## Hello, Jeannie! How are you? Much of it depends on you and, if you can, you should likely stick with the manufacturers that you've had good results with. Unlike some people, I've never had a problem with any of them, but I've never been on them steadily for a long period of time, I've only taken them for very short durations. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone else chime in regarding ones they've had good results with?

I was prescribed Vicodin for a dental implant and as given the hydrocodon acetominiphen 7.5-325, and had a reaction to them..It caused itching all over and wheezing. I have taken the name brand with no issues. where can I find out what the ingredients are in this? Could there be gluten in them as I have a gluten problem. ## Hello, Ellen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you had. It is always possible to develop an allergy to something, even if you took it before, without a problem. So, we can't rule out that possibility. As to the inactive ingredients, in the orange/peach oval tablet with the V 3605 marking, they are listed as being: croscarmellose sodium FD&C Red No. 40 FD&C Yellow No. 6 lactose Monohydrate magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone ...

are there reported differences in strength or quality between the hydrocodone products of the different manufacturers? ## My doctor prescribed 5mg hydrocodone /apap as needed for pain not to exceed 4 hr intervals. The pharmacy dispenses the drug from at least three different manufacturers in differing forms of tablets. Are there studies or reports comparing the pharmacokinetics or quality control results for the tablets? ## No, there are no reports to be found to give you those precise details, but yes there can be differences from one generic manufacturer to the next. They can actually differ in the amount of the amount of the active ingredients by as much as plus or minus 20% measured against the original name brand. Learn more Vicodin details here. ## I am looking for the pharmacudical company that makes lortab and/or hydorcodine to help a disabled person get on the patient assistant program. Thank you ## Not sure of the exact manufacturer- there are many manufacturers of Hydrocodone related drugs. You might want to start at The Partnership for Prescription Assistance: ## HMyers, thanks for the information, but they did not have hydrocodine on their list. Have you ever heard of the company Mallinkrt, that is the name on the bottle, but I cannot find them either. Thanks again ## Unfortunately, most companies do not offer patient assistance for their generic medications, such programs are usually only offered for name brand medications. I have 2 different hydrocodone pills. The first one is hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5/325 mg & stamped M365 & was given for a hysterectomy. The 2nd bottle is hydrocodone/APAP 5/325 mg & stamped 360+ & was given for surgery, where they removed a kidney due to a benign mass. This pill has red specs on it. Wondering what, if any, difference there is. I called the pharmacy & they assured me that it was just a different manufacturer. Could you please clarify it for me? Thank you! ## Hello, Terry! How are you? Your pharmacy was correct, and to be more precise the one with the 360 on it actually contains a higher amount of Hydrocodone, the manufacturer Mallinckrodt lists it as containing 7.5mgs of it, coupled with the 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that this medication...

I understand that different manufacturers can actually use different amounts of the various ingredients in a particular medication. Is there any way to find how exactly what each manufacturer uses in their pill? ## Hello, Jerry! How are you? No, there is not. As long as they fall within the acceptable limits of plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients as compared to the name brand, they are considered therapeutically equivalent. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is it really norco? I just got my refill today and they are not working as well as my previous prescription. ## Hi Yaya, My research from the manufacturer depicts a white oval tablet marked with 2172 to be identified as a generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg pill. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 0591-2172 and is reportedly a product of Actavis Pharmaceuticals that from what I could gather, seems like a newer generic tablet since information about it is relatively sparse on the internet. Hope this helps! ## I have the exact same problem ! The ones with the 2172 do not work the same as the 3604 did . How is this even possible ? Or is it. Are they exactly the same ?

Does anyone know what pharmacy besides Walgreens dispenses blue hydrocodone ## Can you post back with your general location and the markings on the tablet or the manufacturer? That will likely help you get more responses. Any public website, such as this one, is usually open to people all over the world, so if someone knows of a place that carries it in Seattle, but you live in Connecticut, it isn't likely to be of much help to you. The 3202 gave me a bumpy, itchy rash! The IP 109 are fine. What is the difference? ## Hello, Amy! How are you? I'm sorry about the reaction you had. My best guess is that there is something different in the inactive ingredients. To explain it simply, there is a pool of them that a manufacture can choose from, they are all excipients that the FDA considers biologically inert, so they don't have an affect on the way the medication works and most people aren't allergic to them and/or don't suffer allergic reactions. But which ones a manufacturer uses is entirely up to them, so they can differ from one generic to another. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, d...

this pill is oblong with the number 44-470 on one side. Can you tell me what it is? also a round pill with the letters and numbers APO025 on it. ## manufacturer of 44-470 and mg ## THIS IS NOT HYDROCODONE! Not any type or narcotic, not even a prescription drug. Pills marked with the numbers 44 followed by additional numbers are manufactured by LNK Internation and they DO NOT make any prescription items. They only manufacture over the counter drugs, which are sold across the US as various store brands and generics. This one in particular contains Acetaminophen 325mgs, Destromethorphan 10mgs, and Phenylephrine 5mgs, just an over the counter cold remedy. ## Here's an image and info so you can confirm: Pill Image Click Here

Is there a difference between norco IP 109 and norco M 365? If so, what is it? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? They are just manufactured by different companies. The one with the IP 109 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and the one with the M 365 marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, but both are listed as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem you've experienced. The inactive ingredients can differ from one manufacturer to the next, so Caraco may have used something that you're sensitive to. There is also a chance that these pills may be a bit stronger than the others, which could also cause these types of symptoms. Re: The price of hydrocodone... I've been told big store chains now have limits on what they can order; store policy. The stores are now more afraid of robbery. So, each store is raising the price, not the manufacturer. Go to the small private pharmacies. I've been told they will have the medication in stock. They can set their own limit on the amount they keep in stock. Last time I went to fill my medication, they were on backorder. I checked 6 stores that were close and they had none. I had to drive a half hour to get it filled. Today, it was triple the price. For those who need medication to function, this is unacceptable. ## Since this is now a Schedule II, the increased security involved in dealing with this med is the reason for the increase in cost.
