Thus, if there is no imprint, it is not a legal U.S. prescription medication, although there could be a chance it is a foreign medication of some type. The FDA warns ...

I used to get the yellow qualitest norcos but since the new laws the only thing available is the malli 357 or the Watson white. The yellow worked perfectly long lasting pain relief for my inoperable discs problems. The 357 make you really high feeling for 2-3 hours and then wear off, the Watson give me headaches. I tried to get the yellows again but my pharmacy says they are to expensive to order & not covered by insurance. But my low income friends on public assistance get them free how does that make sense? Thanks a lot for these crappie laws that took away our free choice. ## Medicaid receives rebates for the meds they cover in each state. It is your insurance company that won't cover the brand you want. It is also possible that in order for your insurance to cover a specific...

My husband went to the doctor on the 26th of nov. and got his refill for hydrocodone. being that Oct. has 31 days in that month, what date by law is the first earliest day he can refill them. This is falling on Thanksgiving and he can not be driving or riding in a car without his meds. ## It depends on what date in Oct he had the last rx filled. It also depends on what pharmacy you use and your insurance company. Usually, if he has not tried to get another rx filled early in recent months, he should be able to get it filled within one of two days of him running out. Some of the chain pharmacies have policies on the max number of tablets he can have left and get a refill. ## The information provided by BL is correct, most pharmacies and insurance companies will allow a refill within a da...

I found a white oblong/oval pill that looks like it might be a hydrocodone but has no imprints. wanted to know if it was a hydrocodone or something elese? ## Hello, Amy! How are you? If it has no imprints, then no, all prescription tablets in the U.S. are required by law to have imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Thus, it can't be a Hydrocodone tablet, without an imprint, it is most likely an over the counter product of some type. Is there anything else I can help with?

The Watson yellow 853 Hydrocodone are stronger than the white ones. As each of you know taken these neither are really strong compared to other types of pain pills. I have Fibro, along with so much more. I have a MVP heart problem so if these pills were strong I could not take them,. Some days I Can hardly move. Since the FDA has past that new law my Doctor is now sending me to a pain clinic. Maybe shots will help or what ever takes place at a pain clinic. ## Hello, Bab! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The effect these pills have really depends on the person, since we are all different. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The strength a...

Is this pill 5 mg or 10mg? And what does the 3604 stand for? ## Hello, Doc! How are you? The white, oblong tablet with the red specks that has the marking 3604 V on it contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And according to law, all manufactured prescription tablets must have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of an emergency, so any given pill can be traced by to a specific manufacturer. That's what the 3604 V is, it's just the code that Vintage/Qualitest has chosen to use on this pill to identify it as their product. Is there anything else I can help with?

Why can my DR. not prescribe the HYdrocodone apap 10/660 .reason being i was on it for about 7 years with no side affects and could stop taking it anytime with no problems. The narco 10/325 i have to take twice as many to git the same results, and have constipation problems. ## In Jan 2014, the FDA required manufactuers to limit the amount of tylenol in prescription meds to no more than 325 mgs. They no longer make a med rx with 660 mg tylenol. ## @Rocky, BL is right about the new law limiting the amount of acetaminophen to 325mgs. However to my knowledge there are safer alternatives to acetaminophen (such as Curcumin/Turmeric root) with studies showing that it's as effective as other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs but without side effects when taken as directed. So if that...

I need to know what they put in this medication that has my U/A coming up positive for morphine and oxycodone. I dont understand because I dont take these two drugs. I asked a pharmacist and was told its against the law for her to answer the question and that sounds like the worst lie I ever heard. My job knows that I take the medication but with these other two drugs coming up my job is at stake and I need answers. I love me and there's no way in hell I would take three different narcotics. I dont have a cell so I'm using my co-workers phone, so can someone help me get to the bottom of this ASAP? Please someone. Another thing, what is the other 5mg because it says 50/5mg. Does it mean it has acetaminophen in it also like the lortabs? ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? It is most lik...

What pill is this small red capsule with a white powdery substance in it? I was told it's hydrocodone 50 mgs. ## Hello, how are you? I have to say that I find it very doubtful. The only 50mg dosage available of Hydrocodone is a time released version that is sold under the brand name Zohydro... and under current FDA laws, unique imprints on such manufactured tablets and capsules are required, in order to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Are there any markings on this capsule? If so, please post back and clarify, so I can research further for you. Thus, while there is a small chance that it could be a foreign medication, since other countries are not obligated to abide by U.S. laws, it is much more likely that it is just some type of over the counter product and shou...

My son was prescribed hydro-apap 7.5/500 it says give 1.5 mg (3ml) for pain what's that equal in pill form?? ## Hello, Sarah! How is your son doing? You really should stick with the liquid here to be able to give a precise dose and not risk overdosing. Trying to cut a tablet to get the law of a dose would be far too risky. Is there anything else I can help with?

Plain orange oblong tablet. No marking ## Hello, Pecos! How are you? If there is are no markings on the tablet then they are not Hydrocodone, which the FDA classifies as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. All prescription drug products in the U.S. are required by law to have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Something that has no markings is most likely an over the counter product, of some type. Where was it found? ## Oblong Orange Scored Pill with no writing is Hydrocodone 10mg/APAP 325mg. My family doctor subscribed 10mg Hydro's for me for continuing pain from a lumbar x 4 back fushion. He told me that these were DOT exceptable providing they did not cause drowsiness. Now that he can no longer do DOT medicals with the laws being changed the new DOT Doc says I have to stop taking them even when prescribed and not at work! Please, what's the true story on this prescription drug??? Thank you, Robert ## DOT states that you must have proof that you're taking them legally if you come back positive for them on a drug panel. But, a lot may depend on exactly what it is that you do. See DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40 Section 40.139 at the DOT website. ## Dot. says any drug that alters the mind in any way is illegal in a comercial rig.that also includes those wonderful steroid...

Is there anything out there that can be used that could be similar too lortab/hydrcodone ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? There are actually quite a few other options available, including other narcotic alone, or others that are also combined with Acetaminophen. What specific problem do you have with the Lortab? That would help enable someone to answer your question. ## Hi, my name is Tricia, with the new laws that are about to be in effect I'm looking for an alternative rx that is comparable to Hydrocodone 10/325... As a long time sufferer of GERD with Barrett’s Esophagus, I have been taking Tussionex since 2008 as the medicine of last resort to control severe bouts of heartburn based on a study reported in the World Gastroenterology Journal (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PMC2689423). My gastroenterologist has provided me with a prescription for the medication for some time; however, after the recent passage of a new law in New Jersey to help control the abuse of opioid prescriptions for the treatment of pain he has become reluctant to continue the providing me with a prescription for Tussionex. I would like to find out if the primary ingredient of Tussionex (hydrocodone) is considered a Schedule II drug under the definition provided in the New Jersey Controlled Substances Law (njconsumeraffairs.gov/Statu...

I just got back from wallGreens in yonkers and they would not fill my prescription on hydrocodone 150qty 10 -660 .They told me there is a new law I can only get 120quanity per month of me hydrocone10-660.Is this really a new law? thanks ## It may be because of the Tylenol, depending on how you're suppose to take it. The FDA had recommended that max amount of Tylenol in 24 hrs be no more than 4,000 mgs. The only New Law governing Hydrocodone is in New York and it went into effect at the end of Feb 2013. It states that all hydrocodone combination products are now Schedule II. Which means no refills and it can't be called in. ## The law regarding the quantity actually isn't a new one, it was just not being enforced. However, in light of the ever increasing rates of theft, abuse...

The DOT physical Doctor would not approve my physical because I was being prescribed Hydrocodone 5 mg. I had to get a statement from my regular Dr. saying I would not be prescribed that medicine any more. I was taking the medicine for reumetoid arthuritis. Does anyone know anything about this new law? ## Not sure if you drive a city bus, school bus etc... or if it even matters. I drove a school bus for 14 years and during that time frame I'd had 8 out of 13 surgeries, in which the last two was on my back, lumbar region. After the first back surgery I was put on 5mg oxycodone for break through pain and MS Contin, Dilaudid and a few others trying to find what helped the best for relief. I also was required to get a yearly physical and random drug / alcohol evaluation throughout the sc...

I got two white oblong tablets with no markings and was told they are 5 mg Hydrocodone. ## Not in the U.S. Under current law, the FDA requires all prescription medications that are available here to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The only exception would be for substances that are done by a compounding pharmacy, where they usually use plain capsules to contain oral medications. Thus, tablets with any markings are most likely an over the counter product, of some type, though there is a small chance they could be a foreign medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## In Texas I receive n still do, hydrocodone with no name on them. I've tried every pharmacy in my general area....no one carries Watson anymore. They were bought out by anothe...

I have taken hydrocone/acetaminophen Tab 7.5 / 650 for several years for a back injury, I am 72 and it cant be fixed. They changed the law so now I get pink pill 7.5 / 325. My doctor assured me that I wouldn't tell the difference. Well I cant even tell I took one I take 3 a day. Something is not right. The one I was taking was M359. Would you please help. Thanks Max ## Hello, Caaseymax! How are you? Of course there's a difference and I don't know why your doctor wasn't upfront about it. The Acetaminophen augments the action of the narcotic, so a lower amount of Acetaminophen means it won't be as potent. You may want to ask your doctor about just taking some extra Acetaminophen with it, or perhaps switching to a different medication. This is a narcotic analgesic, so i...

driving under the influence of the drugs is it illegal ## Not illegal to be on those meds if you have a prescription, but if you are driving really badly then yes you can get ticketed or arrested. ## I want to know if it is illegal to drive in Texas while taken these drugs. Cymbalta,Nitro,Hydrocodone, Dilaudid, and others ## I have prescriptions for all these drugs and I'm not driving bad, I just making sure that it is not against the law to take these while driving. ## Actually if you are driving and the drugs affect you adversely, they can give you a DUI of a controlled substance, that is why the pills carry warnings not to drive until you know for sure how the pills affect you.
