Hi,Ive recently began suboxone treatment @ (8mg/2mg) twice daily, today is my 3rd day. My question is straightforward, how many mgs of suboxone is "considered" closely equal to only 80 mg of hydrocodone? Am simply trying very hard to get my dose correct, seems doctor overmedicated me during induction. I would greatly appreciate any feedback, thanks & best wishes to everyone. ## Hello, Staci! How are you? There really is no direct conversion, but the rough one that's usually used is 1.2mgs of the Buprenorphine to each 30mgs of Hydrocodone, but the person's overall tolerance to narcotics must be factored in, along with the fact that the Suboxone is dosed once a day, where the other was taken several times a day. So, that's probably why you were given the 8/2 dosage. Ha...

I have had two surgeries and on hydro.10mg|325 tabs. I have winged myself down to 1 every 12 hours. Ive noticed that after about 9 hours it seems like im catching a cold. I push myself to go the 12 hours. Once i take the med. im fine. I have probably been on them fo 3 months.. Really i may need a smaller dose but ill try taking maybe about 5 ibuprofen's for a little while. Is there a easier way to taper down, how can i taper down or do i just have to crawl under the sheets and die. I hate these pills, don't want something else controlling me. ## Sounds like you have been on them a while, The reason you feel like you have a cold is that your waiting to long to take one, if you want to tapper down start with the dose you were on, then your next dose wait an additional hour and so on...

That's a big dose for a little dude with no history of opiate use. Be safe and contact someone NOW!!!! ## Brad If this is a serious question YES That can cause epic failure contact your folks and come correct bout what u took......., ## I mean i can stay up for a while. I usually take 1-3 10/500 hydrocodone pills a day. I recently Ran out and have 60 mg morphine. I have never taken morphine pills.. had it iv in hospital a few times. Should I take it to ease the pain or what should I expect. A little nervous.. ## You should only take half or even a quarter, 60mgs of morphine is around 6 times as potent as 10 mg of hydrocodone, and the could be an incomplete cross tolerance effect aswell ## Hi Kole, Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain. But because it's your first time taking the morphine pills, I honestly think it would be best to consult with your doctor first, since they also have an understanding of your medical history and what dosage amount might be safest for you based on their professional opinion/evaluation. On the other hand, nobod...

Iv had this medication for 18months now and when I too it it took along time to kick in Should I get a new prescription? ## Hi Sandy, How did you have to wait before noticing any relief from taking it? Unless you took it with a meal, it shouldn't take very long (typically no more than say 15-20 minutes on average) to feel the effects of a medication you ingested. If however, you are simply not getting much relief or benefit from its use, I would definitely encourage you to speak with your doctor about other types of treatment options for your pain. I hope this helps! ## Do you mean you have been taking this med for 18 months or you have had the same prescription for 18 months ? ## the time it takes to absorb very's from person to person and the time you ate around taking the pil...

oval pill with red dots on them. Pill says watson ## I am assuming there is some other marking on the tablet, in addition to the Watson? To positively identify it, I will need the complete marking. If its Watson 3202, it contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Lortab, a narcotic pain reliever. ## Ive been told that the red specks .are caffeine ## I was wondering if any one knows what the red specks r exactly. I've been switched from my medications for back pain and got the 5/325 norco which is watson on one side n the 3202 on the other with red specks of course. Btw I have a gpa named joe schmohe literally ## The red dots are just part of the pill, it's how the manufacturer identifies their pill, i.e. Watson has their name on theirs Vi...

Is Hydrocodone Apap 10/325 good for pain? ## That would be the narcotic Hydrocodone, and 10mgs is the most you can get these in, and Acetaminophen 325mgs, A narcotic analgesic. The APAP is just doc and pharmacy speak for Acetaminophen, sometimes these are prescribed to have the Aceta help with pain and inflammation, otherwise, it pretty much just helps them keep the drug on a prescription controlled substance schedule III or IV. There are considered generics for meds such as Anexsia, Hydrocet, Lortab and many others. Hydo and Apap Info Click Here

What is the side effects of an adult taking this if it was prescibed to a dog ## lynn2015 the medical field will tell you not to do it, but guess what I go to tractor supply all the time, they say pet meds are not as high grade but they do have the same ingredients, do alittle research and check it out before you do it, ive never had any problems taking meds I bought from tractor supply, ## @Lynn, That's an interesting question to ask. Given what Post #1 mentioned, it's certainly not recommended and I wouldn't be one to encourage you to do so even if it was prescribed.... but thinking in terms of side effects, the "potential" risk factors for a human shouldn't be any different than what you might find on a typical drug monograph for Hydrocodone. ive been on Librium for two days now 3- 10mg Librium 1st day and ten 2 second day and only two on the tird day. I have been in back to back accidents and was given 2 hydrocodones can I take them together? and the Librium isn't doing the job in three days..been drinking for 5 years daily... ## Hello, Jean! How are you? Both of these medications can increase sedation, so they can be taken together, if your doctor has okayed it, but you should know to watch for any danger signs, such as extreme dizziness and drowsiness, or trouble breathing. Norco is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hi, Ive been taking this medication called Hydrocodone for about 3 years. For those 3 years, its been working very well but lately, it's not as good. Im not sure whether it's because Ive become prone to the medicine or because my pain has gotten worse, but either way, my doctor has now given me a prescription for new medication and this one is called Dilaudid 4 mg. What Id like to know is, what medicine is stronger or better? I have not taken Dilaudid yet so I'd like to know beforehand, thank you ## Hello, Hassan! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. The Dilaudid is stronger than the Hydrocodone. You only need 2.5mgs of Dilaudid to be equivalent to each 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, they carry the risk ...

Is this pink pill with 3600 on one side and V on the other a Hydrocodone pill? ## The drug you got was a generic lortab. Lortabs are like vicodin but a lil bit stronger. He gave you a dosage of 10/500 which means 10mg of hydocodone and 500 mg of actemiphin(tylenol) I just had hip surery a month ago and my surgen gave me that. It works great for pain, your pretty silly when your on it but it does work!!! The only problems I had was I was constipated for the first week after surgery. But I had all the dripps in my iv and plus they were giving one or two pill every 3-4 hours , along with the delotin that I had in my iv And I was told to continue 1 pill every three ours. while I was out of the hospital, and I did. I have suffered from cronic migraines for years. For breakthrough pain relief my neurologist has prescribed Hydrocodone 10/650. When I needed it, it worked well unless the migraine had developed to a complex migraine, then a trip to the ER was needed, and IV hydromorphon and phenergan seemed to do the trick. Now thanks to the new federal law, No more than 325 mg of acteomediphine can be in medications. Now my medication doesn't seem to be working as it once did! What can I do now, other than taking two pills, which I don't want to do at all! Help!! ## Hi Krisy, Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm no doctor, but I do know of some other people who have decided to just take an extra Tylenol (Acetaminophen) tablet to make up for the difference in dosing. On the other hand, y...

I took 4 & 1/2 Hydrocodone 10/325s about 12 hours ago. Can I take 5 tramadol now ## Hello, Fly! How are you? You are taking far too many of these tablets, at once. Especially the Hydrocodone with the Acetaminophen, no single dosing of that should exceed 1,000mgs. How many have you been instructed to take, per dose, by your doctor? Both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Keep in mind that it is very rare for someone to overdose on Tramadol alone, but Tramadol in combination with other drugs can be very dangerous and lead to death. ## Yes, what Dan said is correct, but that's in respect to any mediation, not just Tramadol. Most overdoses, especially fatal ones,...

ive bee taking 15 mg of oxycodone every 4hrs for chronic pain do to a brain injury that occured about 4 months ago. ive never had ANY cetimeiphen in it ever. please explain why some people do have this and some don't. thanks. p.s oxycodone is definatley stronger than hydrocone. i am about to go to to 15mg of the hydrocodone it works better for me. definitly and last longer. why? ## Hello, Travis! How are you? Some of them contain Acetaminophen, because it augments the narcotic opiate and helps it work better, so it has a stronger effect and works better to relieve pain. However, the narcotic is still effective without it and it isn't necessary to prescribe one that contains Acetaminophen for everyone. It can be very rough on the liver, especially if someone is taking high amount...

Saw a new ortho surgeon. Was taking Hydrocodone/Acetamenaphine 10-325. For lower back pain. He said "oh no, Don't take that!" and presribed Tramadol 50 mg. Why? ## Because it can be highly addictive. Also it is going to go from a Schedule III to a Schedule II, Oct 6, 2014. That means no refills, it can't be called in and you must see your dr at least every 90 days. Even though Tramadol can also be addicting, the risk isn't as great. Tramadol became a Schedule IV Aug 18, 2014. ## Hello, Pete! How are you? Your doctor may also be concerned about the Acetaminophen, taking it for a long time creates the risk of liver damage or failure. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation...

i have a prescription from my pain management doctor for norco 10-325 but it has been on back order each time ive tried to have it filled at not only my pharmacy Rite Aide but other major pharmacy's have also been unable to fill my prescription is their any reason for this or is there any suggestion's ## Two things are possible. One, when it was reclassified as a Schedule II the bottles the pharmacy's had were sent back to the manufacturer. It is possible they are running short or don't have any. Second, this time of year it is not unusual for Schedule II meds to become very hard to find or not be able to find them at all. The reason is because the manufacturers are only given a certain amount of active ingredients for 1 year. When that runs out, they have to wait until ...

Iv took pain for years.now i want quit how long does the side effects last? ## Hello, Dave! How are you? Tapering off of them, rather than stopping cold turkey would best and should help to minimize the withdrawal symptoms. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you set up an appropriate tapering schedule. I can't really give you a definitive time frame for how long they will last, a lot of it depends on your body and how it reacts, but usually it takes a week or two. ## Just started subs 8m.g 2m.g...six days ago...I had a tooth pulled and now have dry socket...how long will the subs remain in my system? ## The last 4days I have took 5to 6 hydrocodone 10/325 a day yesterday I didn't and today I didn't but I still feel light headed and flirting in my ches...
