Hydros say IP 109 and Naproxen says IP 190 ## Hi amanda, Thanks for clearing up any confusion between the two pills! From what I could gather, another differentiating factor is that Naproxen's tablet also has "500" imprinted on the other side of IP 190; whereas with Hydrocodone/Apap, IP 109 is the only imprint. Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190): Ref: DailyMed Hydrocodone/Apap 5mg-325mg (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## Is "ip190" and "tramadol hcl 50mg" the same thing?

I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same? ## Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals). The IP 190 500 tablet contains Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190); a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Ref: DailyMed The IP 109 tablet contains Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 5mg); which is a combination of two types of pain medicine - Hydrocodone being an opiate narcotic pain reliever. (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## You are probably confused because the markings are similar. Generic Norco 5/325mg (Hydrocodone/a...

Is this OK to use for serviear headache/migraine? ## I don't remember why this was prescribed to me as I have multiple medical problems & get bad headaches I read something saying this was for pain? But headaches I don't no? Thanks in advance ## Hi dracey, Sorry to hear about the terrible headaches. However I do want to clarify that "IP 190 500" represents the markings of a 500mg Naproxen tablet, and "NOT" Hydrocodone as you may have originally thought. Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, but it is also a commonly used remedy for treating migraine headaches. I don't know how its overall efficacy compares to other possible treatment options, however, many patients do report that it works well for such conditions. More specific details invol...

Hey guys, the IP 109 / 500 is naproxen. But if you have an oblong pill with IP 109 and a line on the back I think it's Vicodin 5mg. Personally I think they look way too much alike. Always check. ## Hello, Kristin! How are you? Thank you for your helpful post! I'd just like to add some clarification to avoid confusion that may be caused by the typo… The 500mg Naproxen tablet has the marking IP 190 on one side and 500 on the other. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. The generic for Vicodin has the IP 109 on one side. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and...

IP 190 with a divided line on the back of the pill is hydrocodone 5mg with 500mg acetaminophen. Definitely similar to the naproxen IP 190 with 500 on the other side. ## The tablet with the IP 190 500 marking is 500mgs of Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. The other tablet has the marking of IP 109 and it is a generic for Vicodin that contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. I have a white oblong pill with IP 190 on 1 side and nothing on the other side.As I looked for suggestions It was posted several times as being IP 190/500 Naproxen.I was told this is a 7.5 hydrocodone tablet not Naproxen. It does not have 500 on it at all ## Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? As you know from your searches, the ones available in the U.S. also have the 500 on the tablet. I have checked our various resources and they don't list anything with just the IP 190 marking on it. However, foreign medications wouldn't be listed in our databases and since the IP is the logo for IntraPharm, I'll keep looking and post back if I find anything. ## IT IS BOTH NAPROXIN AND HYDRO ## I have a pill that has ip 190 on one side and nothing on the other side. could you tell me w...

The pill is white and oblong in shape. On one side of the pill, there is an imprint of "IP". It's scored in the center, and on the other side, it is imprinted with "111". There is nothing on the opposite side of the pill. I have never received Vicodin that looks like this before. Could it perhaps be something else? ## The generic name for vicodin is hydrocodone. Did you pay less than you normally do for your prescriptions? ## I do not know the cost, I have 100% coverage. Yes, I have taken Vicodin before and yes, I know that Hydrocodone is Vicodin. I was prescribed 10/500 lortab and I got the generic. They have always been blue and bigger in size than the 5mg or the 7.5mg, but this is white and smaller like a 5, nothing on the front and on the back on the left it says 1P, and on the right it says 119, so it looks like 1P 119. What is this? ## The pill which you are describing has the imprint IP 119, and it does contain Hydrocodone 10 mg + Acetaminophen 500 mg. The manufacturer of this is Amneal Pharmaceuticals. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Learn more Naproxen details here. As to what I think of that, I think it's very common for such errors to be made, mainly by lay people that aren't familiar with medications and don't know how to check and see what a pill actually contains. Many people just assume that any large, oblong tablet must be Vicodin (Hydrocdone/Acetaminophen), because they...
