Hydrocodone How Does It Make You Feel

how many minutes does it take to start feeling the effects of an oral dose of hydrocodone? ## Since Hydrocodone, even when coupled with Acetaminophen, is only available as a regular release formulation, it can take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working, after you take it. It can vary a little, but that's generally the rough amount of time for it to start being broken down by your stomach acid and enter your blood stream. It can be a little sooner if you take it on an empty stomach or a little longer if you take it with a meal. It can cause some pretty bad nausea, as a side effect, so it's usually best to make sure to take this one after eating. You may also experience drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. why does 176 Norco made byCaraco make me sick .I have been on Norco for 10 years, never had this brand until Target/CVS gave it to me this mo. never had stomach pains nausea'.will never take this again trying to make my 30 days time frame ## Hello, Poppy! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem you've experienced. The inactive ingredients can differ from one manufacturer to the next, so Caraco may have used something that you're sensitive to. There is also a chance that these pills may be a bit stronger than the others, which could also cause these types of symptoms. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

I found two of these is my Sons room when he was doing homework, and I'm not sure what they are, can these make u feel high? or is it just Tylenol? ## Hello, Alex! How are you? This just contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen, it is available over the counter and is used to treat pain and fever. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?

Need to know if this is a generic version for Norco (hydrocodone/acetaminophen) 5/325 (2172). What is this pill? ## Hello, Honey! How are you? Yes, after days of looking, I've finally found confirmation that it is. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## FDA needs to remove 2172 pills from market. They are worthless. Shame on Walgreens for passing these off as 5/325s. I guess the bottom line is money and not your health. Good by Walgreens $$$$$$. Never to big to fail. ## THE NEW ONES ARE AWFUL. THEY DONT HELP PAIN. JUST MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A ZOMBIE. AND CANT GET NEW REFILL WITH ONES I H...

I got hydrocodone but the bottle says to throw way after 10.2008, can I still take them? ## I have taken hydrocodone off and for about six years and the last two, every day. In high school I started taking them for fun and when I hurt my back and had surgery when I was nineteen I began taking then consistantly for pain management. I am now 24 years old going in a month from now for a second surgery. I am perscribed to take 6-8 10/325 hydros a day but as many follow this dark path like myself, I take more then I should because I like the way they make me feel. I am ashamed to post, even though my identity is private, that I frequently take 10-12 of these pills in one handfull to get high because I have built such a tolerance over the years and I need to take atleast five at once just to ...

I fell and damaged 6 disc in my spine. I had surgery on 2 disc and was given hydrocodone apap which was yellow with a V on one side and 3601 on the other side. I was later given the same prescription, but the pill was white and had IP 110 on it. The yellow stopped the pain with no side effects. The white makes me feel drugged and nauseous. What is the difference? I have also be give a 7.5 of the same medication. It is white with U02 on it. It makes me feel the same way as the white 10/325 does. Who are the manufacturers? Please help!!! ## Hello, Marie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had. The tablet with the 3601 V marking is manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals, the tablet with the IP 110 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals, both of these ...

I have relocated to the Auburn, Calif. area and am in dire need of a doctor who will pick up where my Florida pain management specialist - fellowship - left off. I need certain procedures done, such as heat ablasion every 6 months. I have been on 10-350mg Hydrocodone for 7 years after a fall backwards from steps onto cement, which resulted in a coma, 9 days in the hospital learning to walk after 4 vertebroplasties. I have degenerative disc disease, degenerative severe osteoarthritis, 2 lumbars touching, and much more! I am a senior, and was reduced from 4 pills a day, like everyone else, to 3. The 4 just took the edge off the pain. I need these to WALK and have a semi-normal life. They work for me! I feel nothing else from these pills and am so against the new legislation. The rule-makers

I am recovering from surgery and I have found that the little solid white hydrocodone 5/325's make my skin itch and burn horribly and also make me feel wired like I had 5 pots of coffee. The brands with the little red or blue specks, as well as the ones with the peach color (Norco I believe) do not have any of these side effects for me. The pharmacist doesn't believe me because she says it's all the same drug but there is a DRASTIC difference for me. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what is the cause? ## Hello, Jill! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one generic to another. They are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients. For most people, since these d...

I have a bulging disc at L2 and its pressing on my spinal cord nerve which is very painful. I have a primary care, very conservative, and she gave me hydrocodone 5 mg until I can see neurosurgeon. That's going to be a few weeks and I have a very physical job and the med she prescribed isn't helping. Does my condition warrant something stronger? I feel like a drug seeker asking, but I really need something to get me through the night so I can sleep without pain. ## Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen are the active ingredients in Vicodin, which is a narcotic pain reliever. As to requesting something else, it isn't your job that makes it warranted, it is the pain level you experience. If this medication isn't strong enough, then you should contact your doctor and let her know. A...

I was given HYDROCODONE-APAP 7.5-500 TAB for my wisdom teeth being removed. I have taken one but the pain is still there. Is there and negative effects if I was to take 1 to 2 more for the pain? ## yes, the 7.5 will give sedation effects if taken as directed, if more hydrocodone is taken in a regular time frame it will make your body feel as if its speeding up, an you may have difficulty sleeping, take the medication as directed its a instant release medication taking more than 1 will not give more releif, you may need the extra if a dry socket develops ## You can take up to 2 at a time. If you do, be prepared to sleep. Sleep is good though after getting your wisdom teeth removed, just don't freak out if you wake up with blood gushing out your mouth (that happened to me). The most yo...

I had my knee surgery yesterday and am on hydrocodone 10/325. It manages pain pretty well but it seems to make me itch. I plan to call the Dr, but would like to know an equivalent pain medicine that I may tolerate better for this? Not taking it or not taking it as often results in significant increase in pain. ## Hello, Kalisnick! How are you? Percocet might be an alternative that you can try. It contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have hives with the itching or are you just feeling itchy? If there are no hives, then it may be just a side effect that will eventually go away, as your...

I was prescribed Norco for severe back pain and I woke up sick as a dog. Loratab didnt make me feel this way but Norco did. I took one 10-325 Wednesday night and tiday is Saturday and I still feel lightheaded ## Hello, Sonya! How are you? Are you receiving the name brands, or generics? What are the markings on the tablets? Can you please post back and clarify? This information will help me research more details for you. The FDA does want that it can cause nausea and vomiting, as side effects, in some people that take it, along with dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. ## That should be warn, not want! Oh, autocorrect, I hate you so! LOL

I was in a bad accident back in March of 2012, I was on a snow machine ( mobile for who call it that) and was hit by a large SUV. I had a shattered pelvis, broken hip and broken femur. I've found that the qualitest 5/325 white pills with red specks work best for me compared to other brands, but of late I've had to take more to feel a relief. I'm wondering if they make the same type just stronger. I don't know if it's the red specks they use in them that makes it different with others. I also just moved and am worried my new state won't have that brand even if I can't get a raised dose with my next doctor. I hate taking so many, wish I didn't have to take them at all to be honest. I have tried to go my normal route and stop taking them to lower my need for...

I used to get the yellow qualitest norcos but since the new laws the only thing available is the malli 357 or the Watson white. The yellow worked perfectly long lasting pain relief for my inoperable discs problems. The 357 make you really high feeling for 2-3 hours and then wear off, the Watson give me headaches. I tried to get the yellows again but my pharmacy says they are to expensive to order & not covered by insurance. But my low income friends on public assistance get them free how does that make sense? Thanks a lot for these crappie laws that took away our free choice. ## Medicaid receives rebates for the meds they cover in each state. have 2 herniated discs and sciatic nerve pain my right leg. My doctor won't prescribe them to me anymore, he thinks he's going to get in trouble. He also shames me as if I'm asking for crack or something crazy. ## Ask your doctor for a referral to another doctor like any logically-thinking person would do. ## Kev has provided you with sound advice. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist. And the easiest way to get in with one of them is by having your current doctor refer you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I know about specialists and I am a rational thinking person. What u guy's mean it makes u feel like a zombie because i just got a my RX from Walgreens and i have something with a 2172 and i normally get 3202 and i'm afraid to take these. Please help me ## Hi Sunnie, Since everyone responds to medication differently, there's no real way of knowing ahead of time if you're going to have a similar reaction or even no side effects at all. Because the outcome isn't set in stone, I would probably suggest taking other opinions lightly until you have a chance to try it for yourself at least once. Does anyone feel that mall. Hydro 10/325 has changed? It used to work...now it just makes me REALLY tired? and they seem smaller?Im alergic to Amneal anything, so I downgraded to this one from Oxy. There just an not any good generics out there any longer, unless you can find Endocet? Ive been approved for brand. But the co pay is 450.00? I cannot handle that a month. Does anyone have good results with mallenkrodt Hydro 10? ## Hello, Dolly! How are you? No, there haven't been many complains about theirs, at all. You may have just grown tolerant to it, though. Mallinckrodt still makes hydrocodone. Depending on lowest bidder, unless a drug is truly discontinued, that's who your pharmacy will stock. I am super scared... I have taken a total of 17 hydrocodone 10/300 today. I read (afterward) that 90mg of hydrocone is lethal. I have tried to make myself vomit to get the last pills out, but I cant tell if what is coming up is a dissolved pill or just mucus. I dont want to die!! I dont know what to do. Going to a hospital is not an option, I have children sleeping & no one tp watch them..... ## Hey I'm here :/ ## You need to get checked out for side effects of taking too much Acetaminophen/Tylenol. Anything over 4,000 in a 24 hr period can be toxic. You won't immediately feel the side effects of this, but you do need to get checked out. ## To the user who started this thread, I strongly agree with post #2 in that you should get your levels checked to make sure you don't...

How does T-3 30mg codeine relate mg to mg to hydrocodone and Oxycodone? Working on a weaning program after spine surgery. Prior to surgery I was on high doses of Oxycodone for quite a long time. Pain mgmt Dr is a joke, I feel they are looking at keeping me as a patient, I just want off all pain meds. It would be helpful to know how they correlate to make as smooth as possible ride down to zero mg/day. I am hoping once I get to zero if there is any pain, that my body can adjust with endorphins. ## I forgot to mention, so far I have made a reduction by 70% per day.
