Since the Acetaminophen augments the action of the Hydrocodone, these are probably roughly about equivalent in efficacy. my doctor has prescribed hydrocodone and that is all I take for pain management in N. C. at Walreen's; I never was declined due to insurance nor store's policy for these tablets, and now my PA and MD in pain management have suddenly turned it into a "history" of me picking up my Rx's early on a regular basis ,which is not even true according to my records; I do not understand why one day it was fine with my physician, as I we had always agreed that I wanted lowest doseage of pain meds tolerable for my chronic pain due to herniations and bulging discs, and these are the 10/325's, I tried Tramadol as a break-through Rx, and dropped it, no break through meds. such as that had any help for me, and higher medications with opiates actually suggested by the PA were decl...

It isn't safe to exceed 4,000mgs a day, taking more than that may be fatal and, even if you don't suffer fatal effects, you could cause severe liver damage, or go into liver failure. I have been on loratab 10/325 3times day and soma 3 times a day. Dr. changed me today (01/09/2012) new gov. law as of 01/01/12. Can't give me soma with Loritab. Now he put me on MS Contin 60mg 2times a day with 3 soma's daily. He told me the MS Contin was stronger by far than Loritab. I didn't want to give up soma b/c they help so much w/muscle spasms. Is this true or will I go through withdrawl from Loritab. I'm worried after reading all blogs on MS Contin not being as strong of a pain relief. I have been prescribed oxycodone..but a low doseage. So I take hydrocodone as well. I am not prescribed the hydros...and I started going to a pain clinic. Will the hydros show up different than the oxy in the u.a.?
