I am being prescribed compounded hydrocodone 20mg, the pharmacy I have been using went way up on price, 2 times. Where in Houston can I get this prescription filled at a reasonable price? ## Hello, TC! How are you? The best idea I have for you is to call your nearby large hospitals and ask them for the names of local compounding pharmacies. You can then get in touch with those pharmacies for more information. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any ideas?

My grandma got dark purple capsules and her nurse say their compound capsules hydrocodone 60 mg is there a such pill as such I'm scared a little bit because there's no markings and their dark purple capsules ## Hello! How are you and your grandma? Actually that does make sense, a compounded medication would not have any markings on it. There is no standard manufactured 60mg dosage available, so it would have to be specially ordered by her doctor and then created for her at a compounding pharmacy. They usually use unmarked capsules, because they are cheaper than those with logos or imprints on them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anyth...

I can't find anything that says what it is. The prescription is 60/200 mg of hydrocodone compound it is a capsule with no writing one part is clear the other is white! Just want to make sure it is a legit pill?? ## Where did you get it? There is no standard dosage of 60/200 available. The only way anyone would have this dosage would be if it were specially ordered by their doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy. If that's the case, it would explain the plain capsules, since that's what they usually use. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

is there a such a thing as a thirty milligram hydrocodone ## Not in any of the standard prescription formulations, the only way someone would get this is if their doctor ordered it and they had them made from a special compounding pharmacy, then it would be a capsule. The standard dose of Hydrocodone by itself only goes up to 5mgs and in tablets with Acetaminophen, it is available in up to 10mgs. Are there any other questions? ## you can get hydrocodone in 15 and 30mgs its a little blue pill ## sorry thats oxycodone 15 and 30s ## I was just PRESCRIBED THIS INFO FROM MY DR AND I HAD IT MADE AT A SEPCIALTY PHARMACY TOOK THEM 4 HOURS AND IT IS IN A CLEAR CAPSULE AND IT IS 30 MG OF STRAIGHT HYDROCODONE NOT TYLENOL OR ANY ADDITIONS:-) IT IS A BLUE POWDER AND IT WORKS GREAT FOR MY PAIN WITH N...

15 mg hydrocone in red capsule with a crown marking csei ## Is that the entire marking? There is no 15mg Hydrocodone that's regularly available on the U.S. market. It is only available in the manufactured products in a maximum of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone coupled with various strengths of Acetaminophen. Learn more Vicodin details here. If it's a 15mg capsule, then it would have to have been specially ordered by a doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy and them, it wouldn't have a unique marking, it would just have whatever is on the capsules they use, if anything and it won't be listed in any databases because of that. Where was it found?

blue capsule ## There is no such thing as hydrocodone 100mg, and telling us that it is a blue capsue does not help, (unfortunately.) What is the imprint on the blue capsule? This will help us to identify it. ## I have been taking 100mg of Hydrocodone with 100mg of Tylenol for abt 6 years. It is compounded locally. Only compounded dose can come that high. I take 1 evry 8 hours. There are no markings on the capsule and there wont be for compounded meds. ## That is correct, the manufactured versions are only available in a max of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone, however, some doctor's do use compounding pharmacies to have medications done for their patients in special amounts. It will still carry common side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Did you have any que...

Hello, I'm looking for a compounding pharmacy that can fill my prescription of compounded 80mg hydrocodone in Jacksonville, Florida. If there's no compound pharmacy in Jacksonville that can provide this, is there a web-based compounding pharmacy that could possibly mail my prescription to me? Thank you

I received my usual prescription of Hydrocodone (10mg. compound form, no additives/Tylenol, etc...) from a new/different pharmacy. The capsules are 3x larger than the previous capsules I had been receiving and of course, appear to contain 3x as much hydrocodone. New pharmacy says all is well, only Hydrocodone... just as prescribed. Anyone ever experience this? ## Well, since they are compounded, it's very difficult to say, but it really just depends on how they put them together. At a different pharmacy, they may use more fillers than your prior pharmacy did, but that doesn't mean it actually contains more of the Hydrocodone. Are there any other questions or comments?

my grandmother was prescribed 10 mg hydrocodone in a blister pack by hospice. they are dark blue capsules and have absolutely no marks on them. has anyone ever seen these out there? ## These are most likely specially made for her by a compounding pharmacy, which is why they are unmarked and in the blister packs. Many hospices or large hospitals have one on site or nearby to be able to order specialty mediations for their patients. The manufactured formulations all couple the Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, so it has to be specially ordered to just get the Hydrocodone by itself. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

broken neck, back ,perlvis, top and bottom and brokenjaw bone, broken hip ## Hydrocodone only comes in a max 10 mg in combination with tylenol or ibuprofen. ## BL is correct. Any higher dosage of Hydrocodone would have to be specially ordered by your doctor and then made for you by a compounding pharmacy. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Hydrocodone is a narcotic that has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Red capsule with no markings? Are they legit? ## Hello, Lizzie! How are you? It is very doubtful. Any manufactured prescription products in the U.S. are required to have unique markings to enable their identification. The only exception would be something done by a compounding pharmacy and they usually use plain capsules, since they are cheaper. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, what you have is most likely some type of over the counter product. Does anyone else know more about these?

i take norco 10/325 and wonder is there a stronger hydrocodone pill such as 15/325 ## No, the maximum amount currently available on the market is 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The only way to get a higher dosage than that is if your doctor specially orders it and it is put together for you by a compounding pharmacy. Hydrocodone is a potent narcotic and is rarely given in higher doses. Usually, when someone isn't getting the pain relief they need from it, they move on to something else, such as Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. It is still a narcotic and can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## Try not to go up to percet. I have a red unmarked capsule. Was told it's a 15mg hydrocodone. They said they had to be special made. Is this true? Is it a 15mg or could it be more? ## Hello, Rose! How are you? It is possible, but short of testing the contents of the capsule there is no way to be sure. A doctor can order a special formulation of any given prescription medication, which would then need to be made by a compounding pharmacy, but in general, they use plain white or clear, unmarked capsules. The FDA classifies Hydrocodone as a narcotic analgesic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there a compounding pharmacy in your area?

This is a grey and yellow capsule with no markings on it. Suppose to be hydrocodone 20 mg. is this true ## If there are no markings on it, it is going to be difficult to determine what it contains. We can rule it out as being a U.S. manufactured prescription product, since they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. However, since the 20mg dosage is not a standard one available, it might have been something that was specially ordered by a doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy. These products wouldn't have any markings and would be in capsule form. Where was it found/obtained?

I have hot pink hydrocodone 15/150 thats from a compounding pharmacy without markings ## That is normal, since the pharmacy had to make it for you as a special order. It is cheaper for them to use unmarked capsules, in most cases. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. oblong yellow scored on one side with a V and the other side with 3601 ## what is the strongest hydrorodane ## The strongest standard dosage available on the market is 10mgs, just as what is in the mentioned tablet. I got two white oblong tablets with no markings and was told they are 5 mg Hydrocodone. ## Not in the U.S. Under current law, the FDA requires all prescription medications that are available here to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The only exception would be for substances that are done by a compounding pharmacy, where they usually use plain capsules to contain oral medications. Thus, tablets with any markings are most likely an over the counter product, of some type, though there is a small chance they could be a foreign medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## In Texas I receive n still do, hydrocodone with no name on them. I've tried every pharmacy in my general area....no one carries Watson anymore. My son came home with 3 clear capsules with pink powder in them. No markings. I busted him, and he said he was told it was hydrocodone 200 mil. Have you heard of this? ## Well, it wouldn't be an mil measurement, that's a liquid measurement, not a dry one. It is, however, possible for them to come like this if it was something that a doctor prescribed and was specially prepared by a compounding pharmacy. 200mgs of Hydrocodone, though, is not something normally used. They also usually contain Acetaminophen, with the Hydrocodone. The only way to really see what this is, since there are no markings, would be to have it lab tested somewhere. If it were me, I'd just make sure to properly dispose of them. Under federal guidelines, you should do so by dissolving them in some undesir...
