Ok, I am taking 4 and a 1/2 a day and have been on them for about 2 months now. My question is: They don't seem to be working like they were before, but I don't want to be addicted or maybe I already am and that's why they don't seem to help the pain as they did before? So is the mall at the end just the maker, distributer? ## Hello, Judi! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. The mall stands for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, they're the manufacturer. You will also likely be relieved to know that you don't have to be addicted to develop tolerance to a medication. That happens to everyone with any medication they take for a long period of time, your body just gets used to it and it stops working as well as it did. Sometimes it takes years fo...

My husband takes the Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG Tablet by Mallinckrodt. When we went to a different drug store, they gave us Hydrocodone/Apap 10-325. The drug store says it's the same as Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG. This can't be true? ## Well, no, obviously not, this is clearly a different dosage of the medication. The first tablet he was receiving contained 5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The new one contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and only 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is completely different and not equivalent at all. The higher dose of the narcotic could cause more severe side effects, such as: drowsiness, nausea, dizziness and constipation. In addition, it could cause him to build a tolerance or addiction faster, and when he does get the other p...

Just started using hydrocodone apap tab5mg-325. This first dose I took is 2 pills at 12 noon. The bottle instructions say you can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. It is now 3:15 pm and it feels like the hydro pills, made by Amneal are just about finished. The pills I have been taking prior to this are oxycodone, Mallinckrodt, acetaminophen 5-325 and I take 1 pill every 6 hours. This is OXY condone, NOT HYDRO codone made by Amneal. Are they different strengths? The HYDRO seems weaker. Whats the difference between the two? And should they be interchangeable? ## It does require 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone to be equal to the 5mg Oxycodone you were taking, because the Oxycodone is stronger. However, it may simply be that the Hydrocodone just doesn't work for you. Learn more Vicodin ...

I'm sure they're more than a few of you out there that might be returning to look into basically the same problems with Mallinckrodt Pharm"s Hydrocodone/APAP 7.5/325, commonly referred to as Norco. About 4 years ago, Mallinckrodt dumped a bunch of this product on the US market. I have been taking Norco for about 12 years & have always been at about the same dose and never had any problems until I ran into this brand. I've had Actavis, Watson, & Qualtest brands with relatively no noticeable difference. Then four years ago, I filled my usual prescription and came home to find a different shaped tablet with M366 on the side. Almost immediately after my first dose, first came the stomach ache, then the headache, and eventually the feeling of withdrawal. I went to the...

is acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate the same as hydrocod apap 5-500 tab mallinckro or is it stronger? ## If the dosage is the same, they are the same and neither would be stronger than the other, the only difference is the manufacturer. APAP is just a medical term for Acetaminophen, which is used to enhance the effects of the narcotic Hydrocodone, these two ingredients are the active ingredients in Vicodin. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness. More details: Are there any other questions? ## Can you take hydro/apap 5-500m tab mall if you are on coumadin? ## Has your doctors advised you to use them both? They can be used together, but usually such use must be closely monitored by your doctor, because adding the Acetaminophen into the mix can cause...

Someone who reacts badly to Codine, will hydroco apa5 do the same thing? Nausa, headaches, etc. ## Does Hydroco/apa 7.5 - 75 have codine in it? ## No ## That is correct, this doesn't contain Codeine. The active ingredients are Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, so it contains a different narcotic. However, if you're allergic to Codeine or sensitive to it, then there is a chance that you could also have problems with other narcotics. Although the symptoms listed are actually just common possible side effects that many people experience when taking narcotics, even though they can be quite alarming and annoying. what is the difference between M365 and M367 on hydrocodone APAP tablets ? ## Hello, DD! How are you? The tablets with the M365 marking only contain 5mgs of the Hydrocodone, while the ones with the M367 marking contain 10mgs of it. However, both contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF MEDICINE THE BRAND I GAVE U IS GIVING OUT ON THE HYDROCOD/APAP 10/650 MG TAB,AND WHAT COLOR ITS SUPPOSE TO BE AND IF ITS THE REAL THING OF LORTAB! ## So I checked for the Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals site and it appears that they were acquired by Coviden. So then I went there and checked their product catalog, and it appears that they do manufacture a Hydrocodone 10 mg + Acetaminophen (APAP) 650 mg tablet. It is oblong and light blue with a score mark on one side and the imprint M 361 on the other [1]. Does that sound like what you have? If not, can you please post back with a description of what you have and I can try to look it up. What is a round yellow tablet scored on one side with only "COR 142" on it? The bottle says hydrodo/apap5-500mg tab mallinckro; a generic for vicodin 5-500mg tab. ## I cannot post a picture due to copyright reasons, I can, however, tell you that these are most definitely NOT in the correct bottle! These do NOT contain Hydrocodone, nor any type of narcotic. COR 142 tablets contain 5mgs of Glyburide and 500mgs of Metformin, this is a generic for Glucovance, a combination antidiabetic drug used to help lower and control blood pressure. Some common side effects can include: nausea, diarrhea and headache.

Mallinckrodt hydrocodone/apap pills several years ago changed. This sounds like a similar thing to what used to be the caplet (large) shaped pills; M 0367 is now the M367 10/325mg tablet. I believe that they all changed to the same size and shape, dropping initial '0'. Some codes went out of use, most changed inbthe way described, but this tablet, if one og those, is unlikely to be of use, those things having changed well over 15 years ago. Advice; email Covidien. are generic vicodine by different mfr companys the same like hydrocod/apap 5/500 tab [mall[ and hydrocodone/apap 5/500 tab mck. first one purchased at vons 34.00 second purchased at cosco for 15.00 same amount. do they add anything different or use less effective ingredients? ## They contain the same active ingredients, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, but there can be some fluctuations in them. This is due to the fact that the FDA allows generics to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients, however, generic manufacturers just have to stay within that allowable difference, they don't have to measure against each other. Therefore from one generic to the other, you may have one that isn't giving you as much of the active ingredients as ano...
