Iv had this medication for 18months now and when I too it it took along time to kick in Should I get a new prescription? ## Hi Sandy, How did you have to wait before noticing any relief from taking it? Unless you took it with a meal, it shouldn't take very long (typically no more than say 15-20 minutes on average) to feel the effects of a medication you ingested. If however, you are simply not getting much relief or benefit from its use, I would definitely encourage you to speak with your doctor about other types of treatment options for your pain. I hope this helps! ## Do you mean you have been taking this med for 18 months or you have had the same prescription for 18 months ? ## the time it takes to absorb very's from person to person and the time you ate around taking the pil...

My husband takes the Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG Tablet by Mallinckrodt. When we went to a different drug store, they gave us Hydrocodone/Apap 10-325. The drug store says it's the same as Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG. This can't be true? ## Well, no, obviously not, this is clearly a different dosage of the medication. The first tablet he was receiving contained 5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The new one contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and only 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is completely different and not equivalent at all. The higher dose of the narcotic could cause more severe side effects, such as: drowsiness, nausea, dizziness and constipation. In addition, it could cause him to build a tolerance or addiction faster, and when he does get the other p...

hydrocodone-apap 10mg/325mg pale yellow tablet... I would like to know if this drug could cause itching? ## Yes, Hydrocodone can cause itching. Its called puritis, and is a very common side effect of the medication. ## That is correct, narcotics can cause itching in some people as a side effect, however, there is also another way it could be causing it and that would be if you are allergic to something in it. Have you consulted your doctor? In such cases, it is very important to discuss it with your doctor to determine if it is a side effect, or due to being allergic to something in the tablets. ## Yes, many of us using this drug experience itching. It is normal. No worries, just never take more than prescribed. Good luck! ## Yes, but you can take a Benadryl with it ## I have been takin...

A light yellow oblong shaped tablet imprinted with 36 01 on the front and V on th back. ## T have been taking hydrocod/apap 5/500 and have been changed to hydroc/apap 10/325. whichy is stronger? ## is this pill hydroco/apap ? it has M357 on it ## In regards to the original question, yes the tablet with the 3601 V contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen and is roughly equivalent to what you were taking. The dosage of the narcotic has been raised, while the Acetaminophen has been lowered, to help protect you from the damage that long term use of higher doses of it can cause, such as liver failure. It may even be a little stronger for you and help your pain more, depending on how sensitive you are to the narcotic. You can learn more Vicodin details here. And yes, the tabl...

Can I become addicted to hydocodone/apap 5mg/325mg 1 tab 4 times daily? ## Well, first you need to understand the difference between addiction and dependence. Addiction happens when someone abused a medication, because they like the effects it has on them, so they keep taking more and more of it, since those effects gradually wear off, as their body gets used to the medication. A sudden cessation in these cases can result in very dangerous withdrawal symptoms. Dependence is what occurs when you use a medication, as prescribed, for a long period of time. It happens just because your body has gotten used to having it on a regular basis. A sudden cessation in these cases results in much more mild withdrawal symptoms that usually don't put the person in any danger. So, if you are taking...

And yes, it is a narcotic pain reliever, so constipation can be one of its side effects, along with dizziness, drowsiness and nausea. Learn more Lortab details here. An additional note to add is that the FDA has requested that all such medications be changed to lower the dosage of the Acetaminophen in them to a maximum of only 325mgs, due to the danger associated with its toxicity and overdose. How are you? Yes, as of the first of the year, they are only available with a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, just like the new one you are taking. The Acetaminophen tends to augment the action of the narcotic, that's why the new one doesn't seem to work as well for you. However, your body should adjust after a week or two. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, d...

Is there a risk for cross contamination during the manufacturing of this product or at any other time before the patient fills a prescription? ## I have been allergic to gluten for 15 years now, and I have been taking it for the past 3 years, so I am assuming it is safe or I would have known it, by my throat and tongue swelling up. I don't know about a risk of cross contamination...but so far I have not had any problems. ## Based on my research, each Hydrocodone 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg tablet (from Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized ...

Plain orange oblong tablet. No marking ## Hello, Pecos! How are you? If there is are no markings on the tablet then they are not Hydrocodone, which the FDA classifies as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. All prescription drug products in the U.S. are required by law to have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Something that has no markings is most likely an over the counter product, of some type. Where was it found? ## Oblong Orange Scored Pill with no writing is Hydrocodone 10mg/APAP 325mg. They came out in 2016 as a way for Vertisec to produce generic drugs.

WHAT IS THE T FOR ON THE WHITE HYDROCODONE ACETAMINOPHEN 10-325 BY WATSON THIS IS 10-325 T I RECENTLY CHANGED FROM YELLOW 10-325MG TABS TO WHITE ONES I AM NOT CRAZY BUT THE WHITE ONES ARE NOT REALLY HELPING AS WELL WHY IS THAT ## Hi jen, Your not the first to say that the white ones haven't been working as well. There have actually been several complaints to Watson (Actavis) regarding the lack of potency in their "supposedly equivalent" white tablets. They claim that the only difference lies in the removal of 'dye', however that doesn't necessarily explain why they don't work as well, since dye has no real impact on anything but its color. The true answer to their ineffectiveness is still a mystery until the manufacturer opens up and spills the beans. In the ...

Hydros say IP 109 and Naproxen says IP 190 ## Hi amanda, Thanks for clearing up any confusion between the two pills! From what I could gather, another differentiating factor is that Naproxen's tablet also has "500" imprinted on the other side of IP 190; whereas with Hydrocodone/Apap, IP 109 is the only imprint. No, it would actually be illegal for your pharmacy to replace your validly prescribed medication with a placebo. This tablet contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
