Ok, I am taking 4 and a 1/2 a day and have been on them for about 2 months now. My question is: They don't seem to be working like they were before, but I don't want to be addicted or maybe I already am and that's why they don't seem to help the pain as they did before? So is the mall at the end just the maker, distributer? ## Hello, Judi! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. The mall stands for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, they're the manufacturer. You will also likely be relieved to know that you don't have to be addicted to develop tolerance to a medication. That happens to everyone with any medication they take for a long period of time, your body just gets used to it and it stops working as well as it did. Sometimes it takes years fo...

A light yellow oblong shaped tablet imprinted with 36 01 on the front and V on th back. ## T have been taking hydrocod/apap 5/500 and have been changed to hydroc/apap 10/325. whichy is stronger? ## is this pill hydroco/apap ? it has M357 on it ## In regards to the original question, yes the tablet with the 3601 V contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen and is roughly equivalent to what you were taking. The dosage of the narcotic has been raised, while the Acetaminophen has been lowered, to help protect you from the damage that long term use of higher doses of it can cause, such as liver failure. It may even be a little stronger for you and help your pain more, depending on how sensitive you are to the narcotic. You can learn more Vicodin details here. And yes, the tabl...

White oblong pill/caplet with a line through the center on one side and imprint: IP 110 on the other. Is it, in fact, 10/325??? ## i ran out of mu usuall watson big like oval bklue tens and i got this through a buddy.. is it in fact the same thing?? i dont want to take it if not ## Yes, this tablet is Hydrocodone 10mgs and Acetaminophen 325mgs. However, if you are running out early, then apparently your pain is not in control and rather than getting meds illegally from someone else, you should see your doctor to see what you can do to better treat your condition. ## I too have always taken the blue pill which is lortab 10/500..and recently I had to go to a different pharmacy and they gave me a white tablet..and it say M363 on one side the other is plain..they said it is the same as the ...

Iv had this medication for 18months now and when I too it it took along time to kick in Should I get a new prescription? ## Hi Sandy, How did you have to wait before noticing any relief from taking it? Unless you took it with a meal, it shouldn't take very long (typically no more than say 15-20 minutes on average) to feel the effects of a medication you ingested. If however, you are simply not getting much relief or benefit from its use, I would definitely encourage you to speak with your doctor about other types of treatment options for your pain. I hope this helps! ## Do you mean you have been taking this med for 18 months or you have had the same prescription for 18 months ? ## the time it takes to absorb very's from person to person and the time you ate around taking the pil...

Can you tell me what the pill looks like? ## Hi Kim, From what I could gather, most of the 5/325mg Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone Bitartrate tablets are white and capsule (oblong) shaped. Some of the imprints on these pills are: IP 109, M365, 3202 WATSON, and 3604 V. There may be more though. Did you have any specific questions or concerns regarding this medication? Please post back if you do. ## Are the V3604. The same as M365? ## my daughter has von wilebrand disease, can she take this for pain? tylenol does nothing for her ## Do Watson make hydrocodone acetaminophen (norco) 5-325 only or do they have another company that make the pill to

how do I convert a 5-325 TAB TO A 5-500 HYDROCODONE/APAP ## Hello, Bob! How are you? I'm sorry that cannot be done. Have you discussed the issue with our doctor? They may okay it for you to just take an extra Tylenol/Acetaminophen tablet with it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Hydrocodone Apap 5 500 Tablet. Wanting to make sure this is the right medication in an old bottle. White tablet with red specks imprint on one side Watson other side 3202. Thanks ## Yes, this is a generic for Vicodin or Norco, but it is the 5/325mg dosage. You can learn more Vicodin details here. All such tablets will be changed to contain only 325mgs of Acetaminophen by January of 2014, due to the new FDA directive. Some manufacturers are already making the changes. What is the difference? ## The 10/325 has 5 more mgs. of hydrocodone than the 5/325. Go Figure!!!!! ## That is correct, one tablet has 5mgs of Hydrocodone and the other has 10mgs of it and the APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen. What is the difference between Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 Tab AMNE and Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 Tab QUAL ## The AMNE and the QUAL are both just abbreviations for the manufacturer of those particular tablets, so that's the only difference. AMNE stands for Amneal Pharmaceuticals and QUAL stands for Qualitest. This is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by several different companies, another one that I can think of off the top of my head that makes this same dose is Watson Pharmaceuticals. Is there anything else I can help with? You can learn more Vicodin details here. ## no - thank you. I thought they were the same but they looked different and one seemed to be stronger than the other in the affect of making me drowsy ## If they are the same then why do they look different & pe...

I have had 4 steroid injections for sciatic back pain with no relief. I have tried acupuncture to no avail and am now trying the Hydrocodone but am concerned it may be addictive. What signs should I be aware of when taking this medication every day? ## Hello, Maxine! How are you? Yes, the FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I think it will best help you, if I explain how/why addiction happens. Narcotics can cause a high feeling and energy, in some people that take them, but since those are just side effects, these symptoms eventually wear off, as their bodies become used to the medication. Thus, they have to keep taking more an mo...

Is this product Gluten Free? Does the filler formula change depending on when it is manufactured? Is there a risk for cross contamination during the manufacturing of this product or at any other time before the patient fills a prescription? ## I have been allergic to gluten for 15 years now, and I have been taking it for the past 3 years, so I am assuming it is safe or I would have known it, by my throat and tongue swelling up. I don't know about a risk of cross contamination...but so far I have not had any problems. ## Based on my research, each Hydrocodone 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg tablet (from Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized ...

My husband takes the Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG Tablet by Mallinckrodt. When we went to a different drug store, they gave us Hydrocodone/Apap 10-325. The drug store says it's the same as Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG. This can't be true? ## Well, no, obviously not, this is clearly a different dosage of the medication. The first tablet he was receiving contained 5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The new one contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and only 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is completely different and not equivalent at all. The higher dose of the narcotic could cause more severe side effects, such as: drowsiness, nausea, dizziness and constipation. In addition, it could cause him to build a tolerance or addiction faster, and when he does get the other p...

I have been taking hydrocodone-APAP 10 / 325 as a generic for NORCO 10 325 for chronic pain, but recently my pharmacy changed the generic medication from a white tablet simply marked 'M367' on one side to a yellow tablet marked with a semi cursive 'V' on one side, and the number '36/01' on the other. The yellow tablets do not seem to work as well; as if maybe they are "slow", or "time released". Is this true? Is there a difference in these medications and how they work, or are released into my system? ## Hello, Caesar! How are you? No, these are both regular release tablets. However, under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics can have fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient, so this one may be a little lower in dosage than the other ...

Does Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 contain sulfate of any kind? I am allergic to Sulpha Drugs. Thank you, Diane Ross ## The active ingredients Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen aren't sulfa based, however, without knowing the specific manufacturer, I can't tell you anything about the inactive ingredients. Can you post back with more details, such as the manufacturer, or specific markings on the tablet? Is your doctor and pharmacy aware of your allergy? If they are, then it shouldn't be a problem, because any prescribed medications would automatically be checked for you. ## wanted to know if this med had Tylonol in it... ## Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 ## Angela, yes, that is what the Acetaminophen is, it's the same active ingredient that is in Tylenol. on one side it sendes watson 387 ## Can this medication cause constipation.? prescribed for pain relief. ## This tablet contains 750mgs of Acetaminophen and 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone, the active ingredients in Vicodin, Lortab or Norco. And yes, it is a narcotic pain reliever, so constipation can be one of its side effects, along with dizziness, drowsiness and nausea. Learn more Lortab details here. An additional note to add is that the FDA has requested that all such medications be changed to lower the dosage of the Acetaminophen in them to a maximum of only 325mgs, due to the danger associated with its toxicity and overdose. Some manufacturers have already begun to implement this change and the rest are expected to have done so by January 2014. Thus, at any future point, anyone looking for...

did they quite making hydrocod/apap10-500mg tab because they are not the same that they give me now they are call Norco 10-325mg tab and the ones I was taken was lortab what the differ in them please help me to no all about this the 10-500 help my back so much and now the don't help as much why. ## Hello, Jeannie! How are you? Yes, as of the first of the year, they are only available with a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, just like the new one you are taking. The Acetaminophen tends to augment the action of the narcotic, that's why the new one doesn't seem to work as well for you. However, your body should adjust after a week or two. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, d...
