Can you tell me what the pill looks like? ## Hi Kim, From what I could gather, most of the 5/325mg Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone Bitartrate tablets are white and capsule (oblong) shaped. Some of the imprints on these pills are: IP 109, M365, 3202 WATSON, and 3604 V. There may be more though. Did you have any specific questions or concerns regarding this medication? Please post back if you do. ## Are the V3604. I have taken the dosage as prescribed by Dr. and started with no side effects. The last 3 days though I have experienced frequent vomiting and can not even keep water down until the med has worn out.Is there any relation to vicitin which is what I thought the Dr. was supposed to prescribe to th pharmacy. ## Well, the Hydrocodone in this is a narcotic, so it can cause the nausea and vomiting, as a side effect, especially if you aren't used to taking it. Have you contacted your doctor about it?

Amneal manufactured, Hydrcodone- Apap 5-325 doesn't work as well as V 3604 or Watson 349. Any idea why? ## Hi Jane, I think I can help answer your question here. One of the primary factors that doesn't seem to be well known to the public, is that the FDA allows active ingredients in generic meds to vary by as much as 25% from the actual listed dosage. This could potentially mean that a 5mg hydrocodone may actually turn out to be 3 to 7 mgs depending on the manufacturer. Aside from that, subtle differences in the "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers) could also impact the absorption/overall efficacy of the medication. Put two and two together and you pretty much have a different medication than what you may be used to taking. I hope this info helps! Have you tried any ...

does hydrocodone apap come in 12.5/500 mg ## No, before the DEA made changes the maximum dosage available only contained 10mgs of the Hydrocodone, since the changes, the maximum available contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are there any markings on the tablet in questions? Can you please post back and clarify? I will gladly research more information for you.

What is the difference? ## The 10/325 has 5 more mgs. of hydrocodone than the 5/325. Go Figure!!!!! ## That is correct, one tablet has 5mgs of Hydrocodone and the other has 10mgs of it and the APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen. These are the active ingredients in Vicodin, a narcotic pain reliever. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there any questions or comments?

i had orthoscopy on my left knee dec. 11. the doc prescribed norco for pain. however, my insurance says if there's a generic for any drug then that's what'll be substituded. they changed prescription to hydrocodone-pap 5-325 tablitp. the doctor told me to take the med. every 4 to 6 hrs. in order to control the pain better.the problem is i take the med. every 4 hours & it's not doing the job i understood i'd experience. my knee & leg hurts so much on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst. it's a 9. i'm wondering if i'd be able better relife by taking (2) 500 mg. i've been up 2hrs & 20 min. thank u ## They gave you the same medication, Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone is exactly what Norco contains, this is just the generic version rather than...

Can I take this medication for a headache ## Hello, Sam! How are you? It is a narcotic analgesic, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, so while it may help with headaches, it shouldn't be taken, unless your doctor has prescribed it for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

What is the limit for a single dose for a 170 lb person? I hear this drug can be dangerous and I want to make sure my son is taking it correctly for his surgery recovery. ## The hydrocodone will not harm him even if he took 8 per day but the acetaminophen cannot be more than 4000 mg a day. And as you can see 325times 8 is not even close .so I hope he does well in his recovery.God bless Rocket666. ## However, regardless of safe limits overall, they should only be taken according to his doctor's prescribing instructions. This medication does carry the risk of being habit forming and addictive. It may also cause side effects likes nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am currently yaking 300mg Motrin for arthritis pain. Developed severe sciatica and was prescibed Hydrocodone APAP 5 mg /325mg. Am 78 years old 122 pound. Is that too much painkiller, what are the side effects. ## Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen are the active ingredients in Vicodin, it's a narcotic analgesic and this is the lowest dosage available. However, only you and your doctor can decide whether or not it's the right medication for you. The side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. I am smaller than you and was recently taking one in a higher dosage, prescribed by my dentist for the pain from an infection. The worst problem I had from it was the nausea.

Hydrocodone apap 10/325 is what I take for Headaches on a daily basis.... can not get a refill until tomorrow morning... I did find a jar of some pain reliever called APAP/Codeine 300-30 mg. would there be an interaction if taken today. Last pill I took of Hydro was at 10:30 this morning..12/28/13. Can any one help me with this... I'm a bit nervous in taking another pain pill ## Hello, Mari! How are you? What did you end up doing? The main concern would really be the fact that the Codeine is so much weaker, it likely wouldn't handle your pain very well and with the added Acetaminophen, taking additional pills wouldn't be safe. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth...

Why can my DR. not prescribe the HYdrocodone apap 10/660 .reason being i was on it for about 7 years with no side affects and could stop taking it anytime with no problems. The narco 10/325 i have to take twice as many to git the same results, and have constipation problems. ## In Jan 2014, the FDA required manufactuers to limit the amount of tylenol in prescription meds to no more than 325 mgs. They no longer make a med rx with 660 mg tylenol. ## @Rocky, BL is right about the new law limiting the amount of acetaminophen to 325mgs. However to my knowledge there are safer alternatives to acetaminophen (such as Curcumin/Turmeric root) with studies showing that it's as effective as other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs but without side effects when taken as directed. So if that...

I have been taking norco 10/325 yellow oval pill for a few years but yesterday what I got was different they were white oblong pills which says hyd/apap 10/325 mg tab amnea on it and the numbers on the tablet are G 037. Are they the same? The norco always worked very well but these white tabs don't seem as strong or work as well. ## Yes, they are the same, the tablet with the G 037 on it has just been manufactured by a different company, in this case Tris Pharma. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How many have you taken, so far?

I took the hydrocodone apap 7.5-325mg already can i take the tylenol pm? ## It is generally not recommended, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, because they both contain Acetaminophen and too much of it taken in any 24 hour period can be toxic. Have you checked with your doctor? ## Can I safely take generic sleep aids, specifically 25 mg. Doxlamine succinate 2 hrs. After taking a single hydrocodone pill, 5-325? ## I have shingles and it's painful. I just had knee surgery may 3rd.I had Hydromorphone and ran out and because of the slow healing process that i am experencing,My Doc gave me hydrocodone 5/325's.He said to take 1-2 every for pain, but it doesn't seem to be working.Should I wait a while longer to see if it does.I DON'T want to take very high does of acedaminophin because of liver damage. ## You can take Ibprofin with this. ## You are correct to worry about taking too much of the Acetaminophen, not only does it risk liver damage, but it can be toxic if you take too much of it in a day. At doses over 4grams/4,000mgs, it can be toxic and put you in life-threatening danger. Because of this, I'd suggest talking to your doctor, before adjusting the amount you are taking. I have 2 different hydrocodone pills. The first one is hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5/325 mg & stamped M365 & was given for a hysterectomy. The 2nd bottle is hydrocodone/APAP 5/325 mg & stamped 360+ & was given for surgery, where they removed a kidney due to a benign mass. This pill has red specs on it. Wondering what, if any, difference there is. I called the pharmacy & they assured me that it was just a different manufacturer. Could you please clarify it for me? Thank you! ## Hello, Terry! How are you? Your pharmacy was correct, and to be more precise the one with the 360 on it actually contains a higher amount of Hydrocodone, the manufacturer Mallinckrodt lists it as containing 7.5mgs of it, coupled with the 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that this medication...
