Hydrocodone Apap 10 325 Generic For Norco

I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest. My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP. I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them. What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand? ## Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet. On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability. I haven't taken the Amneal bran...

Is this pill consider Norco and dose it work as good as the Watson? ## Hi JoAnn, To answer your first question, Hydrocodone bitartrate + APAP is a generic for brand name Norco. The APAP is simply an abbreviation for Acetaminophen. In terms of how it compares to the Watson (Actavis) formula, this is something that can only be determined by you since everyone is affected different by the same medication(s). Not only that, but you didn't actually list what manufacturer makes your pill, so there is no feasible way to compare it to another manufacturer?

I have been taking hydrocodone-APAP 10 / 325 as a generic for NORCO 10 325 for chronic pain, but recently my pharmacy changed the generic medication from a white tablet simply marked 'M367' on one side to a yellow tablet marked with a semi cursive 'V' on one side, and the number '36/01' on the other. The yellow tablets do not seem to work as well; as if maybe they are "slow", or "time released". Is this true? Is there a difference in these medications and how they work, or are released into my system? ## Hello, Caesar! How are you? No, these are both regular release tablets. However, under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics can have fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient, so this one may be a little lower in dosage than the other ...

i had orthoscopy on my left knee dec. 11. the doc prescribed norco for pain. however, my insurance says if there's a generic for any drug then that's what'll be substituded. they changed prescription to hydrocodone-pap 5-325 tablitp. the doctor told me to take the med. every 4 to 6 hrs. in order to control the pain better.the problem is i take the med. every 4 hours & it's not doing the job i understood i'd experience. my knee & leg hurts so much on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst. it's a 9. i'm wondering if i'd be able better relife by taking (2) 500 mg. i've been up 2hrs & 20 min. thank u ## They gave you the same medication, Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone is exactly what Norco contains, this is just the generic version rather than...

For some 6-8+ years now, i have been taking 7.5/325 Hydrocodone (HYDROCO/APAP); generic name Qualitest. The pill is colored (pinkish/orange) with a "v" inscribed on one side; not 100% sure of Manufacturer; possibly NORCO or PAR P.; Qualitest has ALWAYS been the most reliable version of Vicodin/Hydrocodone. At any rate, much to my surprise several months ago, i had a script filled but when i opened vial, it was filled with WHITE (Watson) tablets; i was told that Qualitest was no longer available. The next morning (basically every morning) i awakened with a significant amount of pain and got myself up to take my normal/regular dose but after more than enough time for what would have relieved the pain; i felt NO relief whatsoever; after a second pill, i started to feel nauseous and...

I take generic Norco: hydrocodone -acetaminophen 10-325 TB. Which works fine. However for a month, I took hydrocodone -acetaminophen-325 (no TB mentioned anyhere). Miserable. Did not work as well and was in tears. Are these the same generic ingredients in both meds? Or should I insist on "TB" since the generic norco refers to hydrocodone -acetaminophen 10-325 TB. ## Hello, Mickie! How are you? Sorry that you were in pain. But the TB just stands for tablet, that's all that it specifies, so there was nothing different between the two. Without knowing the markings on the tablets or the manufacturers, I have no way of knowing if you were ever taking a different generic, or if it's always been the same one. Can you check with your pharmacy and post back? Thanks! ## Is availab...

I went to Walmart instead of my regular pharmacy and they gave me the m367 instead of my APAP 10/325 norcos with 176 on them. Can I take them back and get the ones I'm used to taking? ## Karen, once you leave the pharmacy you can't take the meds back. M367 is Hydrocodone 10 mg / Acetaminophen 325 mg manufactured by Mallinckrodt. 176 is also Hydrocodone 10 mg / Acetaminophen 325 mg manufactured by Caraco.

What happened? ## I was given a scrip for hydrocodone/apap 10/325. The pills are yellow elliptical shaped with 3601 imprinted on one side and a V on the other side. What is this generic for? ## I received generic Norco from Watson pharm. and light yellow, Watson 853, not as effective as the 1st RX, that I received from this new pharmacy. (I was using Wal-greens, go angry when asked to count pills with me.). The 1st RX was a darker yellow, and had a large V. I really felt relief. For the Manufacturer, Mfg:QUALI. Would like to know about the generic name for Loratab. ## I don't guess I know that although I've been prescribed Lortab a couple of times in the past. Perhaps Hydrocodone? ## It is hydrocodone. Vicodin is 5/325, Vicodin ES is 7.5/325, and Lortab or Lorcet is 10/325 ## A generic prescription for lortab 7.5mg is Hydrocodone/APAP 7.5-500 ## found a pill don't know what it is. its white ovel # mp 424 ## Yes, the APAP is medical speak for Acetaminophen, so the active ingredients in Lortab, Lorcet, Norco and Vicodin are Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Vicodin details here. The tablet with the...
